I was a huge advocate of uncommon pizza for years and it was always my go to. We would spend hundreds of dollars there on delivery for our kids' birthday parties. The last few times we have ordered, the pizza has been dry, lacking sauce, basically burnt cheese and bread. Im bummed and we wont be ordering there for a while. The negative: pizza is not great, but edible. Fries taste like frozen freezer burn, I've had better from my air fryer. The service was insanely slow - it seemed like they just assumed their wait staff could cover indoor and outdoor, but outdoor we waited a really long time for food and drink. Only after we mentioned the speed did we mysteriously get faster service. Seemed like the owners, who are new owners, only went out of their way for people they knew. They were out of a bunch of things. Kids meal advertised a dessert (cookie) which we never brought even after asking about it. Positives: nice outdoor space. nice staff when you do interact with them. I think the waitress was working as hard as she could and made a great effort not to sound overstretched, but they clearly gave her too many tables and by the time we were done, she seemed irritated and tired. Food just ok, typical pub food. Waitress excellent. We were staying in Lancaster and visited this restaurant because of a Restaurant.com certificate. My gut instinct told me to sit at the nice outdoor dining area, but my friend didn't want to because of bugs. After 10 mins. she regreted sitting inside, though the bar was quite small, the loudmouths that occupied the stools were not. They were loud, cackling and obnoxious, they had no consideration for the indoor dining people, they probably were regulars because no one dare tell them to STFU. We had a brief reprieve when they ran out to smoke or whatever. The food took forever to get to our table so we were trapped. Lunch with five children. Cheese pizza for the kiddos and calzone for adults with garlic knots and fried pickles. A bit concerned kiddos would distract others, which they were well behaved, whew! Staff were so friendly and kind to the children, service efficient and the food was delicious. Calzone amazing. If we are in the area again we would go back. Really good food from this place. Pizza is always tasty and they give you giant jalapeño poppers instead of the tiny ones most restaurants use. I usually get delivery through grubgub but calling in your order I think is best. Great choice for some local pizza. I live in the neighborhood for the pizzeria so I go their at least once a month. The atmosphere is great and the food is excellent. My top choices from the menu include the loaded fries (the best!), cheeseburger sub, and Greek Salad. The cheese pizza at this location is pretty good as well, but its not the best pizza you will ever have. Pros: - Takeout Service is quick and efficient. - Very convenient location for us in the neighborhood. - Good outdoor seating. Cons: - dine-in service is hit and miss. Some days, its really great. Other days, you will be waiting for a while for your food. However, the food always comes out at the right intervals. I haven't had an experience where I got my apps and entree at the same time. The pizza sauce had no flavor and the crust was like cardboard. The beef topping tasted old and dried out...yuck! Found this little place in lititz, we ordered a garlic pizza and a taco pizza. Had the fridge pickles as an app all was ordered to go. As more of a bar, I would probably drink here, although $6 for a bottle of stella is pretty pricey. The pizza was mediocre. The garlic pizza really did not have a good garlic flavor, it was better when I added my own garlic to it. I'm not a garlic freak, but it just was not enough on it especially when it's supposed to be a garlic pizza. The taco pizza was decent, however there are better options around here if you want a good taco pizza. Fried pickles were good, the batter stayed on them well, which is usually not the case. All in all, probably would not dine here again, the pizza prices were good, but there are better options nearby. Disappointed. Take out order was ready 20 minutes late. Missing the side of fries which I paid for. Buffalo Chicken sub had no ranch sauce on it ( as requested) and barely any buffalo sauce. Without a doubt, my go to place for pizza, subs, and Philly-style Cheese Steaks (I'm from the Philly suburbs originally, and yeah, I know a good steak). Their pizza is made with fresh ingredients, it's consistently good, and it's always hot when delivered. Never in three years have I had a complaint about anything with them. The people are friendly, courteous, and the food is simply great. There just isn't a better place to get pizza and subs. Two other places are almost as good, but Uncommon edges them out because of the consistent quality control of their food. Prices are also reasonable. Five stars from a very picky customer! read more

Although this is a small restaurant, Uncommon Pizza has separated itself from the pack by: #1 Food Quality (There isn't a thing on the menu I haven't liked) #2 Food is Consistent (example, the Buffalo Chicken pizza is the BEST around AND tastes the SAME every time we order it), and #3 Service (friendly & attentive (empty glasses are filled without flagging down a server) The atmosphere is warm, welcoming & casual. We tried the taco pizza with extra meat and cheese. It was superb! The staff was friendly and we got good service. They are casual. It's a casual place. Don't expect 5-star wait staff or fine-dining attributes. But they do what they do very well. Forget two $10 pizzas from Pizza Hut. This taco pizza must have weighed 20 pounds and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. I'll go back again anytime and try anything on their menu. read more

Due to the multitude of positive reviews on Google and Facebook, we decided to give UnCommon Pizza a (second) try. Unfortunately, we watched as a few other tables were waited on before us. It seemed to be locals since they knew them by name when they walked in. No big deal. When we were finally waited on, the service was sub-par and left us feeling like outcasts. We were barely spoken to or looked at. Why is this? We still had hope in the food due to the reviews, but oh how disappointed we were that the pizza could not be deciphered against a frozen pizza. Floppy crust, minimal sauce, and low quality cheese. As the cherry on top, waitstaff told us at the end of the meal that their internet was down, and that either we could pay in cash, or give them our credit card information. This is uncomfortable. We wish we were told in the beginning of the meal since we do not carry cash so that we could try to determine if we wanted to visit another establishment or obtain cash to pay. The little things are disappointing as well, such as not getting straws for our drinks or a wax paper in our take out box so that the grease doesn't leak through (which it did). This is our second attempt at UnCommon Pizza and we are unfortunately underwhelmed. read more

I live close so Uncommon is a regular Friday night haunt. I stick with the pizza or Stromboli but I hear from dining partners that the cheesesteaks are good. I really wish that the salads were better as I prefer that over pizza. But the salads are not good and the price is high for what you get. So, stick with the pizza and enjoy a cold beer. Uncommon Pizza offers pizza (obviously) subs, salads and a few pasta dishes among other expected sides from a pizza place. The pizza is in the style of Pizza Hut pizza, not quite Chicago style, not quite New York style. The pizza was serviceable but not something I would rush right back for. Same can be said for the Italian sub I ordered. The prices are what you would expect from a pizza place these days. The environment was bright and friendly, and the staff was great. The owner/manager greeted us, came back to see how everything was and later gave us a coupon for a return visit. We felt very welcome, even on a busy night for them. The waitress came back several times to see if we were okay or needed drink refills. So, the service and atmosphere were great, the food wasn't bad, but doesn't inspire me to come back soon. One and done for this place. Ordered a ham calzone to split with my daughter. Calzone came and it has a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese, even less ricotta, and lots of cheddar. My bad, I didn't read the description so I didn't know it would be coming with cheddar (but really, who desecrates a good calzone with cheddar?) I tried a bite and it was dreadful. We put it back on the plate and several minutes later the waitress came back to check on us. I told her she could take it away because it was terrible. Well she was done with us after that. I managed to flag her down to order some chicken fingers for my daughter. I decided I would eat at home. They were later flung onto the table and the empty drinks were ignored. The manager approached and asked about the calzone, he saw me put it back on the platter earlier. He volunteered to take it off the bill which I thought was a solid move. The bill comes and they apparently changed their mind, knocked a couple bucks off and that was it. Can't vouch for the rest of the menu but stay away from the calzone if you like a traditional calzone. The service was pitiful. There are a half dozen places within 10 minutes that will do better.
