Every now and then I get a serious craving for a Philly, and this was one of those days. After spending far too many hours reading reviews and scrolling through photos, I finally decided on Cavo's. Several people claimed it was the most authentic cheesesteak you'll find outside of Philadelphia, so my expectations were high., I'm happy to say they absolutely delivered. This cheesesteak was INCREDIBLE. It was packed with tender meat and gooey cheese with every bite loaded with flavor. it wasn't of those sandwiches that leaves you searching for the fillings. I'm pressure I gained a couple pounds from finishing it and honestly it was worth every bite. The caprese was also out of this world. a little spin with a fried green tomato which absolutely delighted. the restaurant is very cozy with a rustic bar atmosphere that's comfortable and inviting. what really stood out though was the staff. everyone was genuinely friendly and gave the impression that they truly enjoyed working there which made the experience ever the better. If you're searching for that Philly this is the spot. This is an easy recommendation, and I'll definitely be back when that next craving pops up. read more

This place is phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back because I still think about the white sangria I had here. The sandwiches were delicious, and even a half order is very filling. I ordered the full sandwich and ended up taking the other half home. The service was decent. It was a busy night, and since the restaurant is seat yourself, it took a while before we were greeted. The check ins were a little sparse, but we weren't in any rush, so it didn't bother us. There was a steady flow of people coming and going, from families to groups of friends. Update from last review: So I went last fall during football season and it was awesome. I left a review before and the food was SO good. Today the food was not good. I ordered the chicken cutlet, it was nothing like last time. The breading didn't even stick to the chicken cutlet it was all separated. Everything was Very bland, everything (including the roll) needed salt and seasoning. The roll wasn't crunchy it could have spent more time in the oven.Maybe it was a new chef or something but I would up just tossing the other half. Had an amazing experience at Cavo's!! Found this place online and was so happy we did!! My husband and I went during the World Cup games and it wasn't too busy! Came here one evening, because I heard they had some amazing Philly cheesesteaks. Looking at the menu, I also saw that they had freaking pigs in a blanket on the menu. The hoagie roll was so soft, it held up so well to the wet ingredients inside, and the way the roll was cut was just perfect. I loved everything about this sandwich. We also had the French Bread Pizza (Fresh baked seeded roll split in half and topped with house pizza sauce, grande mozz, pecorino romano, and fresh basil (add pepperoni)). Very crispy bread, very cheesy cheese, and pepperoni that was packed with flavor. This was a lot of fun. I was super excited for the Pigs in a Blanket (All beef hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry served with chipotle ketchup & Bavarian sweet mustard). Very crispy, very legit hot dogs within, and wow, that ketchup was actually amazing. Eating this watching football would be a dream. Everything we ate with a side of Curly Fries. Also good. Okay so hear me out . I think I might have found one of the best chicken cheesesteak spots in the O. I was craving a cheesesteak after having a long conversation with my mom and was looking up places between TikTok and IG and came across this place . Cavo's is located in Thornton park near downtown Orlando . I went last Friday and omg that fist bite was like heaven. I decided to order through DoorDash and only spent around 11 dollars for my half sandwich. I will say if your really hungry go for the full which is $17 dollars but if your not as hungry the half is perfect . I even had some the next day. But back to the chicken cheesesteak. It comes with onions, American cheese , and a soft bread. The chicken and cheese just melted in my mouth. I also added mushrooms . Cavo will definitely have a new customer in me . The service, while not rude or anything, certainly didn't make me feel welcome. I was greeted, then not spoken to again until my order was taken, then not spoken to again until I asked for my check. I really like this bar, although the stars on this occasion may not seem so. The service here was 100% awesome and the servers, only 2, with a half full bar, both inside and out were the best. I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering wings, extra crispy hot, which is my preference. The wings came out with spongey skin which I absolutely hate, and instead of starting a new batch, they just dropped them back in the fryer. That is a no no. Suffice to say, I wasn't going to send them back a 2nd time and maybe I can try something else next time. PS, if you are looking for Buffalo wings, they are not here. We ended up parking about half a mile away by lake eola because there was nothing available nearby. We ended up having multiple drinks, the old fashions were strong and flavorful, worth the $12. I finally made it to Cavo's Bar & Kitchen after hearing about their chresesteaks for years. For my first impression, I have to say that I was a bit surprised that it was more a bar than a restaurant, but I was just getting food to go and it still had a cool enough ambiance. Also, parking can be a bit difficult as it is street parking not far from Lake Eola Park. I did find parking a street over, so it was not really that big of a deal. The bartender was incredibly friendly and my food was ready as promised when I arrived. I had ordered the cheesesteak and tater tots. The cheesesteak was very good. The tater tots were also good. I would definitely say that this cheesesteak was one of the better cheesesteaks in the Orlando, Florida area. Cavo's Bar & Kitchen is definitely a great option for a cheesesteak. Great for laid back hangouts with big groups to catch a game. Parking can be tough in the area but worth the trip!

First, and I cannot stress this enough: PHILADELPHIA EAGLES FANS SHOULD VISIT HERE. I had heard about this being an Eagles bar but I didn't fully put 2 & 2 together until I walked in and saw the decor. Multiple TV's with several different games on and not a bad seat to watch any event you're there for. You can catch me here for the Eagles' 2024 season opener. Happy hour specials are great! $2.50 for a Bud Light, Miller, or Yuengling draft. Hard to beat that but also $5 Tully. They have a multiple Vodka flavors on happy hour as well. I started my order at the bar because I didn't realize there was a server but Katie let me order from her and took great care. I don't think I waited more than 2 minutes for any service at all. Finally, the food. I saw several people ordering things but the most amazing thing I saw was the Philly. First, be prepared that it doesn't come with anything on the side. Second, IT IS FILLING! I was so full that I nearly took a nap in my seat. I'm only slightly exaggerating. The Philly was nearly perfect. I would have added peppers but I'm being picky as it didn't need anything extra. Again, from the time I ordered to the time I received it, I couldn't complain. The wings also looked great from my vantage point but that's for my second visit. Also, I like to point out parking. Somehow, I managed to find street parking less than 500 ft from the door but I imagine this does not happen on a busy Sunday during football season.
