Things to call out for Cayuga Ridge besides the wine - They offer a spacious yet cozy indoor space and a quaint deck with a beautiful view of the vineyard. The indoor space has a loft with tables, a bar and a shop that is filled with local goods that you cannot resist shopping - especially after a flight of wine!

I had high hopes when we pulled into this winery; it's in an old barn, which gives it a rustic, old-school feel. However, the parking lot was empty -- literally, we were the only car in the lot. That was a sign. The tasting bar is a little on the small side, it could probably fit 7 people. We paid our tasting fee ($2, plus $1 for my wife to try the dessert wine). The wines were quite mediocre, especially their highly-touted Riesling (it won "best New World Riesling" in a wine competition in Germany); I have a suspicion that they were serving a bottle that'd been open for a while, as it tasted mildly oxidized. In fact, of the 8 or so wines we tried, the best one was probably their cranberry wine, which surprised me, as I don't generally get into fruit wines. The bubbly that they served my wife was flat, even! It's cute, and there's good photographic opportunities, but I don't think I'll be back any time soon.

Rustic tasting room. It was beautiful inside.

I loved large old barn style tasting room. I saw small restaurant beside of the tasting room with huge copper pizza oven but it wasn't open when we visited. The Staff were generally friendly,we took our time to taste wine. I wasn't a big fan of their wines. I didn't think their wines tasted that great. In the future, I hope to try their pizzas at the restaurant.

We stopped here during "Peaches & Pottery Fest" and had two delicious salads at their Copper Oven Cafe. Tomato & Peach Salad was made with heirloom tomatoes, peaches, ricotta cheese, olive oil, balsamic, basil & mint. The tasty Peach Special Pizza consisted of crème fraiche, prosciutto, peaches, cheddar, balsamic drizzle, chives. We bought a few bottles of wine, and some peach treats to take home from local Amish market Countryside Produce. In addition, we glazed hand-thrown pots by Salmon Pottery Galleryand who fired them on the spot in the ancient technique of Raku which was really cool. All this while listening to live blues music by DamDog. This was a memorable day in a beautiful setting.

Great wines, a friendly, down to earth tasting room and amazing pizza in their wood fired oven.

We really didn't enjoy any of the wines we tasted here. The Thirsty Owl right next door was much better.

Upon arrival, we discovered the winery wasn't housed in the barn as expected, but in another part of the property.

Reminded us of a Reece's, and would be delicious mixed in coffee! All the samples we had were wonderful! The woman serving was a delight and told us some of the history of the distillery and her family relation to it. It was near the end of the day but she didn't seem to care that we were there and chatted away happily afterwards! For those of you intimidated by a distillery, the woman next to us was about 80 and having the time of her life!

Well lucky for us we stopped in on a whim (let's be honest I'm a sucker for good branding). The property is clean and simple, the tasting room was in line with what we experienced last last in Kentucky in more rural spots. They make gin, vodka and whiskey. I'm not much of a liquor drinker but my husband bought 4 bottles and said it's fantastic- he is very into bourbon and if he says it's good then it is. To my untrained palate it tastes like alcohol. It's $3 for 3 tastings and you can also get a cocktail. There is a fair amount of branded products and souvenirs. So it would be a good spot to pull together a gift basket for Fathers Day or Christmas. Absolutely worth a visit- a beautiful craft distillery with a friendly knowledgeable staff.

The wine tasting is also $15 for 5 different wines with the gold label, and an extra $3 for the black label wines. Honestly don't remember exactly which types we tried, but they were all really good. We ended up buying a bottle after the tasting and enjoying a picnic of food that we brought outside. The view is absolutely beautiful, and there's plenty of seating for big or small parties. I definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!

First, the hillside view of Keuka Lake is gorgeous. Second, the tasting room interior has a modern and spacious feel. Third, we both enjoyed the Gewurtztraminer wine and purchased one bottle. Our server was quick to assist with the $12 tasting, but he seemed a bit rushed after a large crowd of visitors entered the facility. On the minus side, the rieslings were a bit flat compared to those of Dr. Konstantin Frank. Also, we made an advance reservation for 2pm, but the facility ignored it since it appeared to have a general "walk-in" policy for everyone. One downside of ignoring advance reservations is that it created a chaotic experience with customer waves. Also, it took about 15 minutes to check-out since a long line formed to exit and pay for the tastings. But overall, this was a good experience.

Super cute spot with lots of unique cider options and great cornbread/desserts!…read more We tried the Funkhouse, Sparkling Cab Franc, Fruit of the Bloom, and Persici (in order from dry to sweet). My favorites were the Fruit of the Bloom which is infused with ginger as well as the Funkhouse. I liked how crisp the funkhouse was and I loved the ginger note in fruit of the bloom. The others were okyay too, persici was very sweet but paired nicely with the ginger hazelnut baklava which was incredible! I am allergic to pistachios, so I loved that I could eat their baklava! We also tried the cornbread with strawberry and jalapeno butter- absolutely incredible. I am from the south and have had a lot of cornbread but this truly stands out. It came out warm with a slight crunch from the crust while maintaining the perfect crumb inside. Just crumbly enough and not too try! I also really enjoyed the jalapeno and strawberry butters- you can tell they use high quality butter, they almost reminded me of goat cheese. I preferred the jalapeno butter a tad more but both were great! The exterior is beautiful- the views are very nice. I would highly recommend coming on a warm day and sitting outside. We initially sat on the balcony but moved due to the bees. The tables underneath the white tent were shaded and bee-free. Service was pretty quick- our ciders came out almost immediately. We had to wait ~10-15 minutes for the cornbread though, but I didn't mind especially given it was warm! Overall, I would highly recommend!

For the cider flight, Funkhouse and Lake Hause Rosé are excellent plant-based picks, though vegans should note the Honeoye blend is made with honey.
