Horrible. I had passenger brake light and blinker out that was assessed at Jiffy Lube. They looked at truck 30 minutes later and said it was the drivers side. Started cutting wires before diagnosing. A week and a half later, no call or quote. Called me back 2 hours later with $1700 quote. I had a bad feeling and asked to pick up. They said they had to put everything back together. When I got into the feeling the entire dashboard was out including all of my lights and blinkers. Nothing worked. I had to then pay another shop $1300 to put it back to where it was before they destroyed it and then they still couldn't fix it back to where it was. It was gonna cost me another $1700. I had a great experience taking in our 04 Honda Odyssey for an AC diagnostic, evac, and recharge. Same day (instant) service and a friendly and knowledgeable tech explained the results and advised a recharge would be what it needed. The minivan was blowing 70F air and now it blows below 35F! I plan on using this shop in the future. Now the test will be if the AC system holds its refrigerant long term. :) read more

Vartan is amazing and one of the best mechanics I've met. He's old school but keeps up with technology. Recently he had to bypass the built-in computer security system that locked the engine out. He's taken pretty good care of my new cars that just passed their 3 year warranty. Twice he has taken cars and raise them from the dead that no one else was able to do. He's nothing short of a miracle worker. I referred a close friend and he did amazing work for them as well. Vartan is a Master Mechanic. Reasonable prices. He's very tough mentally and you can hear the toughness in his voice but he is very honest and honorable in his work and probably outside too. :) He will take care of you. Note: Little known fact. They damaged my truck and wouldn't fix it. It just needed a new steering column rag joint. When ready I went to pick it up, but power steering fluid was blowing out of the steering box in their parking lot. I went back in the office and Chuck said it was a different problem and I'd have to pay for a new steering box. He said this without even going out to the truck to look. I took it to another shop who found the problem and fixed it. CB Auto improperly installed the rag joint coupler which damaged the upper seal in the steering box. I called Chuck and he said I voided the warrantee by going to another shop, he said he never told me the things he told me, and he said never call him again and hung up on me. I was going to sue him but it would cost $240 to file at justice court and I'd have to take off work to appear in court. It wasn't worth it. read more

Vartan will not ever touch my daughters vehicle. Her father took it there when he bought it. He is disrespectful and degrading to women and treats them as if they know nothing about vehicles. Trusted him to gave the engine rebuilt in my daughters vehicle. Got the receipt back with handwritten list of things he supposedly did. Not even any paperwork from the shop he said he sent it out to to do the rebuild. Shady and not professional. Have nothing but little issues since then. Took it to transmission shop which I highly recommend State to State Transmission, that found missing bolts, loose bolts, thermostat gasket that was hard as a rock causing her to have a coolant leak. Something we were told was replaced 2 years ago with engine rebuild. Also written on receipt from engine rebuild due to blown gasket was "cleaned and spray painted block". There's no way that in 2 years an inch of grime has accumulated on that block already. Well 13 months later now, she blew another head gasket. Called Vartan, he said nothing he can do. It needs a new engine. We just paid you 13 months ago $3500 to have it rebuilt and there is no reason it should have blown again if he did what was supposed to be done. A BIG BEWARE! Do your homework and get EVERYTHING in writing from this guy. I'm sure some of the other guys here are great as comments show. But Vartan is shady, dishonest and not a good business man and will do crappy work and not warranty it. Good luck read more

CB Auto improperly installed a steering gear rag joint which damaged the steering box seal. Fluid poured out as I drove away. I came back and Chuck wanted to charge me to repair what they damaged. I took my truck to another shop who repaired it and documented the botched repair. Chuck refused to reimburse my costs. My credit card company refunded me the CB Auto charge, but I spent $650 to redo CB Auto's work and repair the steering box. It wasn't worth the time and cost to sue for recovery in small claims court. read more

I was at my favorite Auto Zone Store recently at 3868 E. Thunderbird Road. I asked the guys at Auto Zone if they could recommend someone to give me an estimate on fixing the power brakes on my truck. I had been to three auto repair shops and had gotten three estimates on the brake booster ranging from $300.00 to $900.00. None of the shops that gave me the estimates bothered to look under the hood or check the brake pedal. They just assumed it was the brake booster. The guys at Auto Zone referred me to CB Auto Repair & Air, directly behind Auto Zone. I was surprised and happy to see the owner of the shop was Chuck Borchert. I had lost contact with Chuck when the shop he had worked at closed because the owner had retired. Chuck tested the brake pedal and looked under the hood. Seconds later he put a tiny cap on a plastic tube and my power brakes were working again like new. I know from previous repair jobs that Chuck does excellent work and that he is extremely honest. It would have been very easy for him to have me leave the truck and later charge me a lot of money for some bogus repair. I highly recommend Chuck and I will definitely refer friends to see him. People like Chuck are hard to find and so is is business, just go behind the Auto Zone Store. read more
