I recently got the powder brows done by Tuyen. I already had the previous microblading done elsewhere a few years ago which I was upfront about. Tuyen requested a photo of them which I gave and she told me I was good and I went ahead and booked my appointment. The initial appointment went fine. I could sense during the session she was getting frustrated with trying to work around the previous brow work. Overall I was pleased with the end work and booked my follow-up appointment a month later. The day before my follow-up appointment Tuyen asked me if I could move my appointment out by an hour. I accommodated the request. The next day a few hours before my appointment Tuyen cancels my appointment saying there was an emergency and she'd reach out to reschedule. Again, I was flexible and said sure let's reschedule (even though I had taken time off work for the appointment). I follow-up a few days later about rescheduling and she tells me I need to pick a Sunday. I requested a weekday appointment and she agreed and I booked my appointment. Once again the day before my appointment she asks if she can push out my appointment a few hours. This time I said no because I requested time off for the appointment (again) and can't move it again like last time. She got back to me and said okay to keep the appointment. The next day as I was driving to the location, I was 10 mins away from the location, and about 20 mins before my appointment she asks me if I can move my appointment (I've lost count of how many times she's moved or tried to move my appointment at this rate). I told her I was a few minutes away and can't reschedule. To ask someone to reschedule that close to their appointment time and to ask the same person that many times is so unprofessional. I like her work and like the way my eyebrows turned out but this experience with the follow-up appointment was less than great. Tuyen clearly didn't want to do the follow-up appointment. I would not recommend anyone with prior microblading or previously done brows to go here. It's harder work and not what she's up for. On a side note, I always left with brow ink smudges all over my face which was the result of the same 1 wipe that was used over and over again no matter how dirty it got (happened in both initial and follow-up appointments). read more

I had a bad experience at a different lash studio (and it was my first time!) where the lash stylist got glue in my eye. Terrible. I decided to try it once more and came to CC Cosmetics. Found this place on Instagram for a last minute mani and pedi. I called ahead and was able to secure an appointment. The service was for my overlay was perfect. However, my pedicure was done by another artist, and it hurt. My nails turned out crooked and I have some cuts underneath my feet, in fact. Worst pedi I've ever had. The worst part of it was that she referred to us as "cai con nay" which translates to "this bitch". I personally felt offended. I certainly will not be back. My girlfriend happened to be Vietnamese. People who treat their clients like this don't deserve my business. I hope they relay this message/feedback to their artists. read more

Cathy is absolutely wonderful! I was doing some research on someone who would be willing to do a refill on my lashes but from another artist and she was willing to do it! And even on her day off . A little back ground on my current lashes... I actually had just gotten them done a week prior and already they prettty much have fallen off/going to fall off so I was in dire need of a refill. Upon seeing my lashes, Cathy actually took off what I had on already because they were falling off already! She took her time doing my refill to ensure that it was exactly what I wanted (a full fluffy volume). She's so nice and easy to talk to so the time flew past really quick. I was worried that the lashes have fallen off because of my own lashes falling off but I can gladly say it's been 4 weeks already and the lashes she put on me are still holding on and looking good!!! So I really believe you get what you pay for (the lashes I for previously was really cheap but fell off within a week). Cathy is amazing at what she does and I 100% recommend her for anyone who would like to get their eyelashes extended! You save so much time in the morning and you're looking good all the time! Before coming to Cathy, I had really thin/uneven eyebrows from over-tweezing them when I was younger. Even when I filled in my brows, they looked really bad (looking back now) because honestly I wasn't that great with makeup. On top of that, I would put on fake lashes every time I went out so getting ready would take forever. After seeing all her before/after Instagram posts and talking to my friend who got her lashes/brows done by Cathy, I decided it was time for me to invest! I got the Ombré Powder Brows and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was nervous at first but Cathy made me feel so at ease and she answered all the concerns I had. During the session, she puts a numbing cream on your brows so it didn't even hurt! The healing process was also super quick, only about 5-6 days for me. Since my brows looked so good, I decided to try lash extensions. My first set was the Volume Natural, and they honestly looked so natural and pretty. Next time I went back, I decided try the Volume Full lashes and now I'm addicted. I pretty much go back every 3+ weeks for a fill because I love keeping my lashes long and curly. Bottom Line: My fave place to get long wispy lashes in the Bay Area! I discovered Cathy's salon on Yelp and IG and was so impressed with her work. I work from home most of the time, so it's so convenient to book an appointment at random times of the day since the salon is REALLY close to my house. Occasionally I do like super glam lashes, but for the most part, I prefer my lashes to be appropriate for both work and play. I made my appointment not realizing that there are restrictions on who is a candidate. If you've been thinking about getting your eyebrows tattooed and going back and forth on whether or not it's worth it, STOP THINKING AND JUST GET IT DONE. and not just anywhere, get it done with CATHY! I've been thinking about it for 2 years and I wish I didn't wait so long! They make such a difference and make getting ready in the morning 10x easier. Cathy went over the options: ombre powder and microblading. I decided that ombre power was best for me. The process can be about 3-4 hours long. She is precise, thorough, and a perfectionist-- which is exactly what you want in your technician. + It starts with outlining the perfect shape for you. She has you draw/fill in your eyebrows to get an idea of what you like and what you're used to. + Then she modifies that based on what's best for your face shape and takes the time to make them 100% even. I was happy with the shape right away, but she was the one who really took the time to look at them 10+ times again and again to get them PERFECT. + She starts the tattooing process by doing the outline, then adds numbing cream for the filling. She can add another layer of numbing gel, if needed, but I found it to be a very light pain and was very comfortable throughout the process. + She's really personable and easy to talk to so that made me even more comfortable. She's informative-- you know exactly what she's doing every step of the way, which really puts you at ease. They looked so great immediately after. I only experienced minimal scabbing for about a day and within 2 days they were completely healed. I am going back for my free touch-up (comes with the service) in about a month and I can't wait!! She gave me the exact lashes I've been asking for; some lash artists can only do certain styles or they do whatever they want and unfortunately styles like wispies or cat eye don't look good on me, and Cathy didn't try to push any popular styles on me. I wanted to write a review about Cathy and how pleased I am with my eyebrows and the service she provided. A couple years ago, I had a friend who tattooed eyebrows on me. Of course, it was thin and dark-looking, but it fit me and I loved the high arch. 10+ years later, my eyebrow color faded to red and I found myself having to pencil in my eyebrows darker than I normally would. When I had first heard about microblading I became interested and figured I would be a good candidate. Upon research, Yelp reviews, and many Instagram posts, I found Cathy (CC Cosmetics). There were many local businesses that showed off their great work but I was really attracted to Cathy's work. The pictures shown on her IG and Yelp varied in shape and size which I took into account before scheduling a consultation with her. I noticed that many many people who now have microblading almost have the same shape- at least in my opinion. In any case, I decided to book a consultation so I can meet Cathy. When I first met Cathy, she was super sweet, bubbly, and vibrant. She knew exactly what she was doing. As I've mentioned before, where my tattooed eyebrows once layed, is now red. She suggested that we "neutralize" the color by adding and olive green to my skin. Thus, making my skin tone even. She then suggested that I do the ombre-powder brows. I wish I took an before and after picture to show you all, but I am really enjoying my brows. For those of you concerned about pain, it was not painful at all. Cathy is the sweetest! I had my brows microbladed before and it turned out very dark gray, patchy, and with no distinguishable lines anymore. So sad! My previous artist did warn me that it would happen with my oily skin :( I was so unhappy with my brows for so long. I searched high and low, then I found Cathy. She was very accommodating yet realistic with me and was extremely thorough. She knew exactly what I wanted and did the best job possible. I was really nervous about getting my eyebrows done. I was researching for over a year. It sucks I waites so long but I'm glad I waited for Cathy! She is so patient and meticulous. She explained the difference between microblading and ombre a couple of times. And put up with my micro nitpicking of the template for my brows. Once Cathy started the actual tattooing. She was efficient but patient enough to let me see the progress. THE TREATMENT DID NOT HURT AT ALL. She was so gentle and efficient with her work that I didn't feel a thing. I was more than thrilled with her work. In fact immediately after getting my brows done I made an appointment for her to do my eyeliner. I completely trust Cathy with my face. I had to stop myself from having her tattoo blush on my lips ! She proactively followed during my healing process to see if everything was OK.
