Went in with no expectations. The restaurant was a little dirty and peek bending the curtain of the kitchen was rough. However the staff were very friendly. They give you a spice level rating of 10. My partner and I got wanted 5 but were talked down to 3 & 4. I like spicy but even at a 4 it was fairly hot. I've been coming here for a few years now and for the south this is solid pho. Ambiance is best described as typical oriental restaurant kitsch mixed in with the cheapest furniture sets they could buy but the food is excellent and prices are good. Wait time for food can lag if there are four plus tables filled but they have always taken my order within two minutes of my butt hitting the seat. If you get the spicy noodle on the 1 to 10 rating do not get above 5 unless you like fiery hot. It's not white girl spice level; think like born in Thailand or eating adult Korean kim chi. If you pay cash they usually round the tab down to the nearest dollar. read more

About all I can eat here as vegetarian is Pad Thai with tofu and egg which is very good with just a small amount of spice. Unfortunately the Pho has a beef based broth which isn't very good anyway. Passing through town landed me here and I was very impressed. I actually bookmarked the location so I can return on future trips. I'll seperate the review in 4 parts. Food: Phenomenal. I like most food but prefer rice plated meals over soups. I ordered the Yummy Chicken at a 6 spice level. Initially I thought about ordering an extra side of rice but at the end of the meal it was the perfect serving for me. You could split the meal with an extra side of rice if you wanted a lighter lunch. The chicken has a crispness to its outside while still being juicy, followed by a tangy and delicious sauce. Garnished with nuts. Some peppers and onions I believe but simple and well executed. If you enjoy a spicy meal, I would say 6 is the highest I go before you experiance less of the flavor. I'll try an 8 next time but 6 left me happy with the spicy, while not sweating profusely. I didn't feel the need to continuously go to my drink which allowed me to enjoy the flavor while still experiancing that burn. A slice of lime came on the side which I used to garnish. For my water enthusiasts the water was good. If it was tap I couldn't tell. I don't remember the price but it was 11-13 bucks for the meal. Customer Service: Excellent. They added impactful experiance to my day. They were polite, helpful, and very fast. I believe my meal was out within 10minutes around 3:30. 3 other tables being served. They offered recommendations, and the chef actually visited our table to ask how each meal was, even asking if my spice level was okay (they recommended not going over a 5, I chose 6 knowing I am a fan of spicy). The chef also explained how he cooked the chicken when asked. Meal came with silverware and chopsticks. Atmosphere: Very clean. 1st thing I noticed was a clean dining area and maintained tables. Tables were cleared when people left promptly and there is a good spread between high tables, tables, and bar seating. Lighting used natural light from windows, they have overhead lighting as well. No fluorescent lighting that I saw, soft white lights and some colored lights. Where they could improve: I don't believe there was much that needed to be improved on. They seem like they have a good thing going and know what restaurant they want to run. Food was phenomenal, customer service was more friendly and welcoming than any restaurant i've been to lately. They seemed like they wanted to be there and welcomed us there. I don't see this often anymore. Restaurant was in good shape, clean, with good water. Some of the tables were from a "Beef o Brady's" so they could be re-finished or have a table cloth thrown over but that doesn't concern me. I would recommend and will be returning. read more

I was very underwhelmed. I had heard great things from multiple people so we decided to give it a shot. I'm not a huge fan of Asian food so I'm biased that way. The interaction with actual service staff was minor but their kids were friendly and super sweet. It's a small mom and pop shop so kids are there too! The ambiance was underwhelming as well. Come in and treat yourself to a great bowl of pho! We happened upon this gem while visiting. The pho is generous and very well-prepared. You will also enjoy the fresh basil and Vietnamese cilantro, which was new to me. The broth isn't overly sweet and has probably three good grinds of black pepper per bowl. She made sure we had everything we needed at all times. We ordered pho and when we received our food and tasted it we couldn't believe how flavorful it was! The food was delicious. We dined here in June 2020. Had high hopes for a noodle bar, especially in Bristol, where some more culinary diversity is needed and appreciated. It was a let-down, from the get-go. 1.) It smelled funky, like soured rags and old oil. Was filthy inside. Floors were sticky, as were the tables that were not properly cleaned. Doors were open (which was fine and smart in a pandemic) but flies were everywhere. 2.) I travel for a living so have had my share of Pad Thai all over the US. This ranks among the worst 2-3 I've ever had. Was lacking in depth and flavor; and entirely too sweet. Noodles weren't fresh, and a bit soggy. They skimped on the meat. No limes served with it. My friend got chicken fried rice...also very disappointing. Again ingredients were not fresh, food was not made with any thought. The stock for the ramen was not remotely authentic. This was the nail-in-the coffin for me. Basic, authentic bone broths aren't hard. And if this is your selling point, as a noodle bar, you need to nail it. Further the stocks usually have a deep earthy quality with notes of lemongrass, ginger, shallots, garlic, etc. This tasted like broth from a can. 3.) For the lack a cleanliness and quality, it's overpriced. Wish I'd taken pictures. read more

Had the pho with meatballs and and an order of the spring rolls. It's a very small restaurant. I rarely see other people there but then I tend to pick up carry out in the late afternoon. But the food has been consistently good. Very reasonably priced. read more
