* The owner, Randy, failed to provide a "not to exceed" bid. * The original bid was described as hourly", but also stated an amount, which was confusing and contradictory. An hourly project has no bid. Also, an hourly project is illegal under California laws, since it encourages abuses. * The owner has marked a key document as "not a contract" for unknown reasons. * The owner accused me of making the move more difficult, which I did not. The move was actually made simpler by having a single destination rather than the two originally planned. * The owner physically inspected the house before the move and could have easily provided an accurate "not to exceed" bid. * The move was estimated below $800 but cost 50% more -- $1200. That's called "bait and switch", an unlawful practice. * The owner insisted that he was licensed and insured, and that he knew the California laws, which appears to be false. * The owner has failed to provide a refund of overcharges based on California law. Just moved last weekend (Saturday 6/28/25) and after a lot of unpacking of boxes I've found the time to write a review. Which I don't do often. 1. Originally found the company through various online ads/web searches. Narrowed down the companies I would actually speak to and get estimates from based on my research. Spoke with Randy on the phone about an estimate and scheduling. 2. The Tuesday before my move, Kurt called me to confirm the reservation date/time and addresses. 3. Ricardo & Art showed up right on time at 7:30am. Professional, Polite, Friendly and we discussed a plan for the items being moved. They both worked efficiently, but not rushing and showed care with my valuable new furniture. 4. Arrived at new location and after a short delay due to other tenants moving in at the same time in the same apt complex, using the same elevator, they were able to execute their unloading plan and set up/reassemble my bed frame. 5. Upon finishing I inspected my furniture and other items for any damage. Scratches, scrapes, dings in walls, chipped furniture, etc. I've moved over 25x in my life and pretty much every time there has been some kind of damage. Whether it be incidental or carelessness, it always something. Well, this time I could not find anything that day, nor after a week of unpacking and organizing have I come across anything. Which is how we all dream of our moves going. 6. Something refreshing from Ricardo & Art were their positive attitudes during the full 8hrs. Other moves I've had, the movers are constantly complaining about something, how long it is from the house/apt to the truck, how many floors up it is (even when there's an elevator), how much stuff I have to move, etc.. Other moving companies I've used in the past, I've had to keep asking them to stop being on their cell phones so much during my move, having to monitor so many breaks (more than what is reasonable), I've seen move teams take 5-6 smoke breaks during my move. I recently used CC Relocation for moving services I needed after researching and obtaining several quotes from other companies. After weighing my options and speaking to Curt I decided to go with CC. I had a 2 BR apartment with standard bedroom furniture, couches and coffee/end tables, a small dining room table with 4 chairs, plus all of our belongings including personal and kitchen items. The two movers, Jose and Saul were great at helping navigate the miscommunication that somehow occurred regarding the extent of the move and thus the actual anticipated total cost, which they were saying was going to be double what Curt had initially quoted me. After further discussions with Curt and the guys, we agreed to a modified plan so things could move forward. Jose and Saul worked diligently to get it done while we helped with what we could to keep things moving. At the end of it all, Curt offered me a revised cost that, although not the original quoted amount, was reasonable to me and showed me he took into consideration the situation and wanted to ensure fairness and a positive outcome. I really appreciated this. I especially was pleased hearing from Jose and Saul that Curt and his company value its employees and take good care of them, which further demonstrated to me the company's work ethic and values. We moved everything in our 4 bdr, 2,000 sqft house, of state, about a 14 hour drive away. The whole process with CC relocation was amazing. Randy came to the house for a formal estimate. The price never changed throughout the whole process. On move day Ricardo, Art and David showed up right on time, and wrapped EVERYTHING. Nothing got damaged during the whole move. They were also very nice, and cool people to chat with. Joe drove our stuff out and it arrived two days later, where additional movers arrived to help unload, setup furniture etc. That was just as great of an experience. I only wish I knew that we could have kept our clothes on the hangers, and bed frames put together, as that was apparently included in our price (we were up very late the night before!) C & C did an amazing & thorough job for a local move on May 31, 2025 . Initially, Rand came out within a day of our call to inspect our needs & give us a bid . He explained everything in detail & gave me a contract . I didn't have to pay anything till the job was done . Movers , Eric , Jorge , & James arrived exactly on time for a Saturday move . They were very expedient & careful with ALL our treasures . They were meticulous in wrapping multiple items . At our new location , they safely took all the furniture to the spots we designated & accomodated us as we changed our minds multiple times for placement . They never complained . They also had to relocate existing furniture , left by the owner , to different rooms . Nothing was damaged or broken . All of the men were extremely pleasant , helpful, & determined to provide us a timely non-stressful move . Our sense of comfort , satisfaction, & well-being was their goal . I want to start off with the positives. The movers showed up on time and we're friendly and professional. They packed and moved everything without anything breaking or getting scratched. Based on that alone. I would highly recommend this moving company. Now to the negatives. Randy was my point of contact and told me it would be $5,200 to move everything in my office. I told him I was going to sell some stuff and transfer stuff to my other office and he said he would revise the quote based on what I removed at the time of the move. True to his word. Randy did revise the quote, except he tried to up the amount despite me getting rid of significant amount of items. Unfortunately I had to move that day so I had no choice but to pay him well above the price anticipated. Additionally, Randy told me the delivery would happen 5 days after the pickup which was fine because we were moving 500 mi away and I had to return to the delivery destination and prepare for the delivery. However, as the move was ending, the movers told me they would be delivering in less than 36 hours. And when I explained to Randy that it was going to be almost impossible to get back by that time. He said there is nothing he could do and that it would be delivered regardless. So based on everything, if you want to pay more then quoted and be flexible on delivery date then I would recommend this company. If not then stay away. read more

We had a mixed experience with CC Relocation. Positives: Our first point of contact, Randy, was excellent--friendly, reassuring, and easy to work with. The movers who packed up our items arrived on time and were both professional and thorough. They took great care to wrap everything properly, which we appreciated. Curt also stepped up by comping us for our extended hotel stay due to the delay, which showed accountability. Another plus was that we weren't required to pay a deposit up front, which helped ease the financial burden during a stressful time. Negatives: Unfortunately, the delivery did not go as smoothly. The movers arrived almost two days later than originally estimated, forcing us to extend our hotel stay unexpectedly. When the crew finally arrived at our new home, they were clearly understaffed--I ended up helping them lift multiple items just to keep things moving. They also complained frequently about the amount of stuff we had and made several passive-aggressive comments about our apartment and the city we moved to, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. Given the strong start and how well our belongings were handled, it's tough to leave a poor review. But the delayed delivery, inadequate staffing, and negative attitude at the destination y took away from the overall experience. Final thoughts: 3.5 stars at most. Some solid customer service, but several issues that need to be addressed for future moves. read more

The packing and unpacking guys are amazing. Ricardo, Arturo and Joe were great at securing everything. The guys in Texas unpacked everything smoothly and were amazing as well. Alex the driver made sure all went smoothly. Only reason this isn't a 5-star review is because of the way the payment was handled and the plants. We initially agreed on about 60% cash on load completion and credit card on unload. We agreed to the cc payment one day ahead of time. The delivery date all of a sudden got delayed by a day and despite calling in for payment we didn't get calls back until the guys showed up on delivery day. Tried 2 different credit cards and finally gave up and had to pay cash. We understood the risk with plants and boxed them up and prepped them as best ad we could. All of them arrived out of boxes and one was completely torn out with its root. We said the plants are the most prized of all things in the move and so far only two seemed to survive. The extra day of delay could have saved them. We would have paid cash in advance to not have the delay. So, the payment method, the co-owner not calling back and the extra day of delay are the only reason this review did not get 5-stars. The movers themselves deserve the 5-stars. read more

I would love to give these guys 5 stars. They were fast, friendly and efficient. They went above and beyond to get me moved from Aliso Viejo to Mission Viejo. The loss of two stars comes from them breaking the glass doors on my bookcase and then not responding to phone calls/voice mails to rectify the situation after telling me "we'll take care of that" during the move. They event made a notation on the invoice. The doors were not broken in transport, they were shattered before they even left my old home. Two months later and I'm still waiting for someone to replace my broken glass doors...which they don't make anymore by the way so they busted irreplaceable glass. On top of that, they didn't clean up the broken glass and I got charged an extra cleaning fee from the complex. read more
