The guy here is SO nice & he did an amazing job on my shoes with an extra touch of customer service! I took in some new alden shoes to have sole protectors put on and they presented me with several quality options. It wasn't exactly fast while you wait service but the shoes were ready in couple days as promised and looked great. This place is amazing!!!! I brought in my block heel sandals that were torn on the edges of the heel. The bottom of the heel had popped off as well and I never found it. I was really mad because it was one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I looked for shoe repairs on Yelp and luckily found this place. The man was very nice and friendly. Can't thank this place enough. I had some shoes that I only wore once that had alcohol on them and he was able to get them cleaned. He was also able to repair one of my straps and reinforced them with a screw. I never ever do reviews...not my things...but I have to say, this place deserves it. Went in to have the heel tips replaced on 2 pair of high heels. I have to admit I thought $12 per pair was a bit pricey, after all it's just a tiny little tip...besides the back of the heels were beat up and not sure the $12 per pair was even worth it, still hesitant I left the shoes. What I got back was amazing work. Soon as I got in my car I send my hubby a text "My shoes look awesome! Totally worth the $24 dollars" I kid you not, that's how amazed I was. He actually repaired the material that had torn from the actual heel, they look so good. I cant believe the number of shoes I have thrown out because of that...never again...from now on, I'm taking them here. read more

To whomever below says his man is rude: ignore them. These are probably the same people that call a busy tailor rude because they have no idea what they want but don't want to listen to them. He's a professional that takes his craft seriously. I just dropped off two pairs of shoes, one to be resoled and reheeled, and the other to get refinished on the uppers. Both very expensive pairs and he immediately knew the brand. I'll be picking them up in a week's time to see the finished product and will do an updated review, but as it stand, I appreciate the sincerity and the value he places on his business. I'm quite surprised to read some negative reviews about this place. I've had many pairs of dress shoes fixed. Everything from replaced decorative studs to new heel pads, he also fixed straps on purses and you can buy a good range of shoe polish colors and shoe glue. I've always experienced good service and its very close to my home, so very it's convenient. Actually, I'm about to take in a pair of shoes next week. The price and time frame is good too! read more

This place is amazing! Since it's right next to my drycleaners I would think about the pile of worn-out heels in the back of my closet every time I picked up my clothes. Finally I decided to take a pair in to see what could be done. I am VERY hard on heels and the guy makes them look literally brand new. The day after I picked up that first pair I took five more in. He can get your shoes back to you in a day or two and is very reasonably priced. The most I paid was $13 for a pair where he had to replace the leather on both heels. He warned me that they might not look right since there would be a seam where the leather was added. I appreciated his honesty and it turns out you can't even tell there is a seam at all. read more

My husband is getting commissioned next week into the Navy and I wanted to surprise him by getting him some new polished shoes. Came into the nearest family owned business because I rather give my money to a mom and pop shop over a corporation, but when I arrived I was confronted by who I presumed was the owner. He didn't even look up at me. Looked at the shoes in my hand and pushed them back saying he doesn't do military or law enforcement shoes. His tone was insulting and pretentious, however I still needed to know if these shoes were shine-able by any standards and when I asked he looked up and said "Do you have a smart phone?! Well you can look it up on there". He seemed to take joy out of being rude to me, and looking at other posts it is the norm for him to disrespect his clients. I bit my tongue seeing as there is no gain in being disrespectful, and walked out. A customer should not come in and be disrespected especially when coming in with the intentions to support a local business. I went to the next family owned business called "Toms" on Brockton, he took my shoes shined them within the same day and they looked amazing. No confrontation or need to belittle clients from "Toms". While I understand the rigor of owning a business, I don't believe one should take it out on a customer. I wish this business nothing bad, but hope they can respect their clients regardless of what day it is and hold themselves to some professionalism. read more
