A very good old style mexican restuarant. Made me feel like i was at my abuelitas house. The food was very delicious aswell. I got the pollo asado which was amazing. The one thing i will question is the chips. They were a bit fluffy , if ur into the skinny crunchy chips then u might not like there chips but there salso was very good. Tasted like it was homemade. The family and I were up here when we decided to visit CC Taqueria. CC's is a homey kind of place. Almost feels like you're walking into a kitchen where Grandma is cooking. (And if you look carefully in the back in the kitchen area you will see Grandma and her sister cooking there). While not the best decor, the place is clean, bright, and cheerful. They have a good selection of options here and most items including full meals cost under $15. They have everything from Burritos, Tacos, Enchiladas, Sopes, Tasada's, and several fajitas options. The family sat down and we put in orders from everything from fajitas - burritos. The people here are super friendly with is a plus. The chips here are fresh and they offer 2 different kinds of chips. The salsa here is fresh and delicious. We could have easily just eat the chips and salsa and been fine. We got our food and holy food overload. We got HUGE plates of food. Best part, not only where the plates big in size, they were big in taste! My chicken fajitas were done perfectly and the flavor was just right. Everyone else seemed to really really enjoy their meal. Just very solid homemade Mexican Food, something that is harder and harder to come by. Overall, if I'm in the area CC Taqueria is top of my list and a well deserved 4 star rating. Ugh we ordered food for 4, no one was satisfied. We ordered nachos, pollo y crema, tacos and the tortilla soup, turned out to be some potato garlic puree....the farthest from soup of Mexico I ever have tried. Had a late dinner here. Place : Small & simple. Service : Quick, our server was very nice. Food : Free Nachos were yummy. So soft & fresh. We ordered burrito, enchilada, nachos. All were good. Went back again. Still great food and service. I went in the first time with NO expectations, and was thrilled. I went in this time with those expectations and was not disappointed. I had the same dish, same seat, same everything. I'd forgotten how good the tortilla chips are. Have to be home-made. It's hard to screw up Mexican food, but it's also difficult to do it very well. I'm a menudo fan and this place has the best! A bowl full of high quality tripe, as much posole - or none, as you specify and a great flavored broth. This is one my favorite menudos. It's comparable to a few of my family members' great menudos. This place has it reliably every Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the food is good. Try some grilled jalapeños on the side. They do them nicely. Their American breakfast selections get high marks from other diners at the table. The staff is young and highly efficient. Oh those were PHENOMENAL! My husband had asada soft tacos & devoured them. He isn't such a fan of Mexican food, but my white boy cleaned his plate! Honestly the WORST Mexican food we ever had....the absolute worst. We were hoping this would be a great local find, but we were incredibly wrong. We called 8 months in advanced to have our wedding catered. Carlos said everything would be fine and we just needed to come in a few days before. We live in San Diego and called multiple times. We just got in to town to finalize our order and he gave our spot away. This is our WEDDING!!!!!!!!! He has no remorse and doesn't care that he fell back on his word. Awful place. This review is for the main restaurant on 108 in Jamestown. The No. 2 place was good but has closed. The food is amazing. I love Mexican food and this is the place. The food is generous and reasonably priced (like very reasonably priced). I have never had a less than fabulous meal there. The place reminds me of the Cheers bar in that most people know each other. Lots of customers visiting tables to say hi to neighbors and friends. No one knows me, but I still get a nod. Great food, great atmosphere and very reasonable priced. Well, the enchiladas were soggy and tasteless; the rice was dry and tasteless; and the beans... ya, the beans - they were chalky, tasteless, and cream colored. Really? White refried beans. We sat and pondered why this place was so popular, then we got the bill - $18 plus tip for two people. I guess there are some who's measure of a good restaurant is how inexpensive the meal is. This is by far the best Mexican food in the whole of Tuolumne County. I love their Spicy Shrimp Tacos with corn tortillas. They butterfly the shrimp, sauté in their special spices, wonderful. Oh my goodness!!! This place is amazing. Homemade chips and salsa. So good. We had the carnitas taco and fish tacos. Both were fantastic. The fish appeared to be trout or something. Its Valentine's day and I'm going to call in an order to the best Mexican in tuolumne. cc of course. I work in Modesto and live locally so I wanted to pick it up on my way home. I was put on "hold", but could hear everything in the background which was ok for the first ten minutes. After 20 min. I thought maybe I should hang up and call back. But instead had my girlfriend call and confirmed that yes the phone was busy... With me. So even if I had hung up, calling back would just render a busy signal. I wonder how many other people tried to call in in the 48 minutes and 32 seconds I was on hold before getting hung up on. Of course I tried to call back, and what do I get... Busy signal. When I got in there I knew it was bad mexican food... "Hard shell tacos" like taco bell?... Yes, like taco bell. It was packed of white people, no Mexicans, that means no authentic mexican food.
