The owner is unreal. After leaving a review on their FB page, he called to tell me how wrong I was to leave anything negative and to take my business elsewhere. When your husband called to harass me (and how did he get my number? Turned the corner and noticed a woman walking out of "The Shore Scoop" holding a delicious looking thick chocolate shake. Been here several times now. I have sampled several of the desserts and they've all been excellent. Very fresh. Coffee is very good. Today I am enjoying a Turkey crepe; made to order and tasty. Service is always excellent. The focus is on dessert and coffee but the crepes are available as meals or with sweet fillings. From deliciously heathy to amazingly indulgent, Whipped is a wonderful place to go for a bite! I always have trouble deciding whether to go savory or sweet, so on my last visit they indulged me by letting me order both and having half there and half to go! We've been three times, and each time had a great experience, amazing food, and good service. I've had great almond and soy lattes there, and regular coffee is made fresh in a French press. I haven't yet tried their ice cream or bubble waffle creations, but they look just as great as all of the crepes I've tried! I find myself craving these when I haven't been after a while. I've been meaning to try this shop for ages and am glad that I finally did. The set up feels like a clean, casual but upscale French bistro. Music (think Peggy Lee, Billie Holliday and other sultry voices) was playing and service was friendly and prompt. Choice of ordering at the counter or from your table, but either way food is brought to your table. I had a savory chicken pesto crepe for lunch. I love that all crepes are whole wheat and that savory crepes are served with a side salad. The chicken pesto included a delicious pesto, plenty of good mozzarella, and diced roasted red pepper. My one critique is that the breaded chicken - while perfectly cooked - was not as large a portion as I would have liked. When you eat here the crepe itself definitely makes up the majority of the meal supplemented by its filling. Tip: they offer a $10 lunch special including crepe, Boylan soda and bag of chips. Savory crepes on their own are around $8-10. On that note, the sweet crepes look AMAZING! I will definitely be back to try one or several of them. Another interesting idea. A woman asked if she can bring champagne in to drink with crepes. Answer - yes but bring your own champagne flutes unless you don't mind drinking from water glasses or coffee mugs. read more

Adorable little cafe shop on the strip. They offer GLUTEN FREE which is a plus for us sensitive ones. Its a small location and can get pretty crowded. Service is quick and easy. Love there crepes and coffee choices. They have ice cream and other beverages available hot or cold. Cute little date spot or just after dinner to go sugar stir crazy. Prices are not bad neither. Whipped crêperie is nothing short of amazing! It was my first time there and walking in I instantly fell in love and thought the place looked so adorable. There was so many amazing options on their menu I couldn't decide what to get. After what seemed like forever, I finally decided to go with the first sweet crêpe, The Classic. It was filled with strawberries and bananas and topped with powdered sugar and nutella. The crepe was so perfectly cooked and presented, it tasted like heaven. I visited Ce La Vi for one of their well known Sunday brunches and they did not disappoint. We sampled all of the food on their brunch menu and even a few items off (the spinach dip is phenomenal) and one bite was better than the next. The restaurant was beautiful and the atmosphere was a blast. The manager, Avery, handled everything from taking orders to running food, refilling drinks and spectacular entertainment. All were executed flawlessly. Would highly recommend Ce La Vi for food at any time of the day, but definitely try a Sunday if you want to eat and have a blast. read more

I was really wanting to love this place. I was in when they were the patiassaie place prior to being whipped and the only thing I cared for was the mini cupcake that I had. Flash forward a few months (new owners I think) and a new design on the place. The outcome was the same. Walking around downtown, I talked myself out of the Broadway Diner & into gretting a breakfast crepe here. My bacon egg spinach crepe was tasty, but the allure of crepes quickly subsides when I remember the dainty size of crepes. I may be short in stature, but my appetite is 10x my size. After my crepe, I was left wanting more, so I opted for some macaroons. This was a poor decision, they tasted no better than store bought ones I've had at Sickles or any grocery store that sells them. The texture was off and it was pistachio overkill. Oh well. I would have easily given a third star but after going home, I was sad to see on social media that they were giving away free PB cupcakes on the day I was there because it was some made up natnl pb day or something like that. I guess I wasnt worthy of one. With a crowded dessert scene downtown, they could probably carve out quite a nitsch with crepes and waffles, but now it just seems like a cluster of different ideas thrown together with no real cohesion. If I could give 0 stars I would. We waited to be sat for the 1130 reservation that we made for 3 people. We had to wait ten minutes to be seated. What is the point of having a reservation ? After a half hour went by, we STILL had not gotten our drinks (water and coffee... not that difficult people). We had to ask TWICE for our table to get it. The party next to us was screaming middle aged women that did not seem to care at all that there were other people in the restaurant. An hour later after we sat (45 mins after our order of egg dishes and salads had been placed) our food was still not out... we had to ask twice about it, it was seriously like the kitchen had forgotten about us - which I think they did. The owner then tried to cover it up by bringing us out free granola ( like why even bother .... I want the meal that I was hungry for, not granola when I'm ravishingly hungry at that point). At 1245 we STILL had not gotten our food so my three friends and I got up and left. I even offered to pay for the coffee, thank god the sweet waitress said it was comped. I wanted to tell her to get a new job just to help her get out of the hell she was in. We left and got surf taco and were eating in ten minutes. I will NEVER go back and will actually go out of my way to tell people about my experience. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. read more
