Pretty tasty fried pizzas and also some really yummy eggplant. The pastas were decent but really thought the fried pizza and eggplant were bomb.

Carbonara- tonnarelli pasta with eggs, pig cheeks and pecorino cheese

Street Osteria with aperitivo and sandwiches and pastas. We were there for Aperitivo but ended ordering Saccoccia- "Genovese" (stew beef). It is a Sicilian type of bread that resembles a rolled-up pizza or pouch that filled with stew beef. Beef was tender with good flavor from stew that was soaked with meat juices by the bread. And we also ordered Carbonara- tonnarelli pasta was cooked to al dente with eggs sauce and pig cheeks and pecorino cheese. It was delicious with good seasonings. Aperitivo was nothing special though. Same as other places I have tried. This was a good dinner with small portions that filled up well at night. Service was fast and easy to order. It was crowded during dinner time so must be good for a reason. They were playing music inside and people were chatting and eating. Nice place to catch up with friends there while having aperitivo.

Excellent service & friendly! While we waited for five seats, they kindly offered treats to keep us comfortable. We ordered & sipped two glasses of wine outside, then placed a variety of dishes to share while they cleared the table: pasta, two small pizzas, baby octopus, Genovese (stewed beef), Arancino, and more wine/beer. The food was consistently delicious, served in a cozy, charming atmosphere, all at great prices. A truly delightful experience!

Affordable delicious food. Near the Colloseum. Panini Classico and vegetarian were spectacular and filling. We had the both styles arancini (white) and with red sauce in rice.

Looking at the pictures of this food makes me want to go back. The service was good and everyone was nice...they literally brought us samples while we waited outside. Overall the meatball sandwich was my favorite thing we ordered, the pizza is unique but still very Roman. It was an easy place to sit down for a bit and have a quick lunch, the servers were efficient. The restaurant was small with a couple tables and great decorations/vibe.

4.5 stars! Ce Stamo a Pensa is a tiny, narrow restaurant offering a menu of Neapolitan street food! The best way I can describe the dish called Saccoccia is a "pita sandwich" filled with Italian ingredients. We tried several different fillings including Genovese di Manzo (stewed beef), Trippa alla Romana (tripe in tomato sauce), and my favorite, the Parmagiana, made of smokey eggplant and cheese baked in a tomato sauce. The Saccoccia came with grated pecorino cheese on the side, which made for a nice seasoning, and we also ordered a dish of Scarola, or escarole cooked with olives and pine nuts, which made for a tasty vegetal side dish. Overall, this was a great stop for a quick bite in the heart of Rome, steps away from the Colosseum!

So, so good! Price point, flavor and service give this a 5-star rating. I had the carbonara (so good!). The place is very small and tight, but that did not ruin my dining experience. Highly recommend.

Way too much enthusiastic reviews for this place! It's ok. I'm not rushing to come back here. The Amatriciana was fine, not the best ever but fine. It's a real hole in the wall and we ate in the hallway area which had a lot of people going up and down so if you don't like people brushing past you during dinner, stay away. We went in the evening, no wait to get in. Friendly staff.

Great late night spot! Not a lot of sitting area but the food is amazing & absolutely worth the stop in.

Magliore! The polpette (meatballs) here are absolutely delicious! This was was one of the better places we ate at in Rome! The food appears simple, but tastes absolutely divine. Absolutely worth a try if you need to make a quick choice and this is an option for you. The meatballs are a good option. The red pasta "amattricano" I think? Was also delicious. The carbonara is a must if you like cheese. Great service, great price.

Delicious! We wandering the streets of Rome looking for food and stumbled upon this place. Good reviews, so we decided to try for ourselves. Incredible. So fresh. Best meatballs of our life. Fried pizza, sooo good. Def recommend.

By the time we were seated, dozens of people were waiting behind us. We sipped an Aperol spritz and lemonade while we waited, chatting with fellow diners who raved about the restaurant. On a sweltering day, our kids were starting to struggle in the heat when the owner came outside and gave them mini pizzas breads. It was a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Once seated, we ordered burrata, cacio e pepe, amatriciana pasta, pork chops, and fried artichokes. Everything was excellent, but the amatriciana was the standout--rich, savory, and unforgettable. The cacio e pepe was silky, the burrata fresh and creamy, the pork chops juicy, and the fried artichokes perfectly crisp. There's a reason people line up for Da Enzo. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere lively, and the hospitality remarkable. Without question, this was our best meal in Rome and one of our most memorable restaurant experiences.

The tomatoes were fresh and juicy but the burrata was a bit thick (referring to the outer aspect). Also the bread was a bit tough. The amatriciana was good, but not worth a 2 hour wait in a line, 7.5/10. Pasta was perfectly al dente, but the sauce wasn't anything to die for. I think you can get a very similar possibly better pasta in Rome without the wait. My girlfriend got the gnocchi pasta, which she said was a 7/10. The gnocchi was great, but again the sauce wasn't anything special Tiramisu, 10/10. This was amazing. It was sweet without being overpowering. The ladyfingers weren't soggy, and had that strong espresso taste. I would come back here just for this dessert. Also if you don't like cramped spaces, probably not the best spot. I could hear the people next to me better than I could hear the person across me haha.

Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.

Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
