Delicious and generously sized Greek food at a great price! Plenty of parking available, and Cedar Tree definitely packs an authentic punch in terms of variety and flavor. Beef gyro was tender, packed and yummy! Chicken skewer platter was well seasoned, and the Greek salad had a great crunch. Tzizitaki was creamy and well balanced. Everything was fresh and warm. Restaurant seating was small, and it's casual inside, but on a Friday night it was full. I would definitely recommend stopping by or ordering take out.

A lovely local Mediterranean hidden gem! Our company orders from here very frequently as of late because of the following values: 1. Delicious food 2. Reasonable price 3. Free & Quick Delivery and 4. Good quantity I tried their beef gyro which was packed with large slabs of gyro meat that was well-seasoned and loaded with their delectable, perfectly fried French fries. My wife loved her grilled shrimp souvlaki, and a colleague enjoyed the grilled chicken wrap which was actually pressed and had good quantity. I've also tried their Sparta pita which comes with a kick of chipotle sauce and their fries are seriously great. If delivery, we of course tip generously on top because they deserve it with their reasonably speedy delivery performance. Support local. Eat here- you will not be disappointed!

This is our Small goto take out Mediterranean restaurant. Simple and delicious gyros never disappoint. Delivery is always quick. If your looking to try something unique try the beet felafel appetizer.

Another great meal! Food (4.8), Service (4.8), Ambiance (4.0) When the owner puts her love and care into her business it comes across loud and clear. Congratulations on your expanding business! Octopus app is great as is the Greek Chicken Quesadilla. Keep up the great work!

Full disclosure: this was DoorDash delivery, but a delivery for three people arrived fast and hot. I got the chicken souvlaki and so did my coworker, but we ordered different sides. He had rice and I had potatoes and pickled vegetables. It also came with a split pea soup. We both enjoyed our dishes! We also got falafel, which was a hit. I had the supreme salad as well, which was fantastic! A fresh salad with crispy lettuce hearts, red onion, corn, peppers, feta, avocado, potatoes, and greek dressing. It was super fresh! This place has a huge menu, which usually makes me leery, but our experience was good enough that I won't hold it against them! They have a ton of hummus dishes, zucchini and eggplant dishes, multiple meat skewers, pita sandwiches, and more. Definitely recommend, and wouldn't mind dining in-house.

For the price the food was bland, just rice and chicken without flavor. It was clean and nice looking.

The ambiance was nice, it was clean and some delightful plants adorned the outdoor space. We ordered the Aegean Salad, the Calamari appetizer and the whole fish/branzino as a shared main. The restaurant includes olives and grilled pita and it's served warm. The combo of the salad and the pita was really nice, the salad ingredients were fresh and lovely. The Calamari was equally as fresh and the oils and seasoning were pretty much perfect and again eating it with the pita was a real treat. The grilled branzino was cooked perfectly and simply put one of the best pieces of fishes i've had. The fish came with a side of stewed veggies that were absolutely delicious and honestly the veggies alone are worth a return trip. i can easily see why the reviews are so positive for Aegean Estiatorio, it was truly an excellent meal, especially at a time where prices are so high and one is forced to question the value, this restaurant is really an exception. Lastly, the service was also spot on, we were well cared and treated with professionalism.

We called it last minute for table for 2 outdoor or inside they said unfortunately only outdoors because inside is totally booked and we were okay with that but we realize it was pretty empty when we got there by the time we left too it wasn't full inside either so that leaves us with disappointment and not fully honesty in my book and I don't appreciate that. Service was okay and ambiance around good as well. Portions are a little smaller for huge plates making it look empty. We didn't have dessert I wasn't up for it.

Like a lot of these spots, the tables are very close to each other so don't expect privacy especially if you're just two people. They have a decent menu with pita sandwiches, salads, appetizers, souvlaki platters, seafood and a kids menu, as well as specials. We enjoyed the falafel pita ($12.75, not dry and soft pita, hummus sauce but no tzaziki) and the shrimp platter ($25, on a bed of pita bread, fries [similar to diner fries] and a small side of pilaf rice for $4.5). It would have been nice if both entrees came with a side salad (or something) to complete the meal. I had my eye on the moussaka but there was no vegetarian version and they didn't have a spanakopita platter either. Also no complimentary pita, tapenade or chips, unlike some other Greek places. Since they seem to be pretty busy, service is fine and tries to keep it moving. Some people entered and had to wait for a table but staff didn't seem to rush anyone who was languishing a bit out. There was a steady stream of customers and takeout orders which likely speaks to a consistent experience. Their to-go bags were actually blue reusable bags, which I thought was a nice touch. Bring cash because credit card orders tack on almost 4% to the bill. The location isn't the best atmosphere wise (shopping plaza near Shop Rite and next to a Jersey Mike's) - small but not intimate - but on the plus side, parking is easy. If you miss the turn and go into Shop Rite, you can still get to the restaurant without going back on the main street.

Whether it's a roast turkey with endless sides, spicy meat stew, a seafood extravaganza, or even no-frills Kentucky Fried Chicken, there's no holding back when the season for feasting rolls around. Located on busy Broadway in Elmwood Park, we decided on our Christmas Eve dinner at this family-owned establishment. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon arrival as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the owner at Taverna Mykonos and got a table for two right away in the corner where the tables are close to each other inside their cozy, very dim-lit, and elegant dining room with Christmas music playing throughout. There's a full bar with an extensive selection of Greek wines, with approximately 80% sourced from regions across Greece, as well as other excellent choices from California and Spain. The menu featured both authentic traditional Greek dishes along with many other options. The restaurant bakes all of its bread as well as its desserts. Traditionally, the meat of choice served during a Greek Christmas meal is lamb and pork. For starters, we decided to share Keftedes (Greek-style seasoned meatballs served with tzatziki dipping sauce). For our main meal, we opted for Baby Roasted Lamb with roasted potatoes and Lamb Shank with tomato orzo. Complimentary bread started our meal, and we washed it down with a sparkling spring water product of Greece. Complimentary cookies were given to each table at the end of the meal. The food was fresh, using quality ingredients, tasty, and well-presented. We enjoyed the keftedes very much, as they were moist and complemented well with the tzatziki dipping sauce. The portion was reasonable. However, we were disappointed with the Baby Roasted Lamb, as it was mostly bones with only some pieces of edible meat. Service is professional, friendly, and fast. The cost is comparable to the area. Exchanged a few words with the owner, George, about the old neighborhood in Astoria. Opa!

One had eaten and taken out from here before and liked it, so we called, didn't need a reservation, off we went. At about 5:15, give or take, we were the first patrons there. It's a lovely large space, warmly decorated with tables and some banquettes. We chose a 4-top kind of right in the center! Comfy chairs, btw. The menu isn't strictly Greek or Lebanese or Turkish, kind of a combo of good choices from those cuisines. We started with an appetizer called Tinos Artichoke. Very interesting, served with small warm fresh wedges of pita plus a cup of deliciously seasoned pita chips. It's a dip of mashed artichokes with Greek yogurt, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, garlic, feta. S tasty! It's a great portion to share among several people. My friends each ordered the chicken soup with vegetables for appetizers. Quite a nice sized bowl for the price; I love avgolemono, if that's what it was (I didn't taste it), just didn't feel like having soup. They both liked it very much and then they were pretty full! I ordered two appetizers for my meal - Symi Shrimp and Grilled Halloumi. Excellent choices, and they worked really well together as a meal! The 2 slabs of perfectly cooked halloumi are served on a bed of romaine lettuce and some threads of carrot. The shrimp are small, very lightly breaded and deliciously seasoned; menu says garlic, lemon, but they were reddish so I suspect maybe paprika as well or cayenne + paprika (not hot but not bland), shredded feta sprinkled liberally on top. I'm a big eater, but after the appetizer I wasn't able to finish my meal; today I reheated in the toaster oven for a lunch treat! One friend had just the Symi shrimp as her meal; the soup had filled her up and she also took some home. Our other friend had the chicken shish. This came as a really well-balanced plate, with plenty of cubes of chicken, rice, and veggies. We ALL had to-go bags! Appetizer portions, just based on the appetizers we were served, are ample for sharing. Didn't stay for dessert, as I had a train to catch back into the City. When I'm out in Bergen County again, I'll think about coming back. If you live in the area, GO, It's very good and not exorbitantly priced.

Tino's Artichoke is a tasty start - an artichoke dip with feta and sun-dried tomatoes served with pita chips. We'll usually get the mixed grill (but subbing lamb in for the beef, way more flavor). Or, a mix of grilled octopus, grilled calamari and a salad. Everything is very flavorful and goes great with the pita bread. Our calamari was a little chewy this last visit, which surprised me. It's never like that. Octopus is always tender and comes with tasty charred onions, peppers, caperberries. Other delicious dishes here - chicken shish, the steak, gyro, grilled shrimp, lamb shish. Lately they've been decorating tables with fresh flowers - nice touch and complements the candles.
