A little corner of the scary Seatac area that truly is a tranquil reprieve--totally worth the money! After several "luxury" hotel stays in major cities across the UK and France, coming home to this lodge was by far the cleanest, most well-managed, most tranquil accommodation we had in over a month. The air conditioning, expansive rooms, washcloths, conditioner (who would have thought this little item would matter so much), free parking and wi-fi, AND complimentary breakfast were all welcome amenities and made us all feel very spoiled. Seriously one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Beds are incredibly comfortable and clean, bathroom well stocked, and the tubs are huge! Big enough for two haha I love the living rooms in each section. It has free chips, malted milk balls, yogurt, string cheese, and, my favorite, Haagen Daz ice cream! The hot tub is really nice too, though it should be posted (within the info about the hot tub) that towels are down there so people do not think they have to bring the ones from their room. The only thing I do not like is their television service. I feel that, in this day and age, there is no excuse to not have a channel to show which programs are currently on. No guide button, nothing... super lame. All in all, though, great place to stay, and I would love to stay again. read more

Wow, what a sweet thoughtfully put together place! Everywhere you look there has been conscious thought involved and implemented from the lovely breakfasts that are beautiful and nourishing to the malt balls of all different flavors in the "living rooms" of each wing. The beds were incredibly comfortable! (and I'm a serious bed snob) I mean really yummy with down comforters and high thread count linens. Very closely located to SeaTac and Seattle it will be our place to stay in Seattle area from now on! One note; Google maps sent us on a WILD GOOSE chase to a deadend that wasn't going to get us to this place. It's actually quite easy to get there. DON"T follow google maps! We had dinner in the lovely restaurant that night (which by the way was amazing as well except for the small portions that my 6'5" hubby left hungry from) and the couple next to us had the same wild goose chase happen to them. Cedarbrook Lodge is someone's cherished child with all the stops pulled out fortissimo. Start with the luxuriously pristine bathroom. An Oriental feel with a frosted glass sliding door. Not a speck of mildew to be found. Huge soaking tub sans those annoying jets which collect other people's' bacteria. ROAM bath products in a generous size. Gigantic fluffy bath towels you can lose your soul in. I enjoy the hosed adjustable shower head. The self lighting mirror. The wide expanse of counter space. The woven shower curtain. Plenty of places to hang towels and things. Comfortable, stable, non crazy water adjustment. The lights are on a timer and will turn themselves off. Now the bedroom: comfortable with a big choice of pillows. Nice duvet. Good lighting. Decent wall mounted tv. Extra seating. Our room, Alder 3211, has a wonderful view of "the rain forest." In the South, this would be someone's backyard needing bush hogging, but the blooming morning glories are lovely. There are paths, cement sidewalks, all around the lovely extensive property. The blue accent wall is a nice touch, as is the carpet. I like the gray ceramic subway tile on the floor in the bathroom, too. It looks like slate. Someone took a picture of an Autumn tree and mounted it on the perfect size canvas. AC works great. Running out of space: check out deliciously generous breakfast;property with waterfall, brook, pool, gardens, spa; fabulous staff and shuttle driver. This is a must stay! read more

Spa uses great products - Eminence. Amazing therapists and facial experts. Looking forward to a complete remodel in the future of the hot tub area for the full experience. Dining here is a must. I booked a deluxe king at this hotel for my boyfriend's birthday. I really loved this place because although it's close to the airport you don't notice it because it's secluded. The hotel is nice and clean. Checking in was very fast and easy as well as checking out. The complimentary breakfast was nice, not many hotels I know have a large selection of food items for breakfast. I did use the gym and it was very clean all the equipment seemed new to me. They do have 24hr complimentary snacks which is great. Only downside to this place is they do charge $20 for each night to park. Never heard of a hotel do this but I didn't mind much since they do provide free snacks and breakfast during your stay and the staff was great and helpful. I would definitely stay here for my next travel to Seattle. read more

love this place! this is an oasis in the middle of Seatac! you would never know you are next to a major international airport! the wooded area is so sirene and green. i have stayed here on several staycations and have always had a pleasant experience. on site amenities in each building includes a nice free snack area with fridges stocked with string cheese, yogurt and ice cream! also available are bags of tom's kettle chips, trail mixes and malt balls. they did away with bottled water but do have dispenser for sparkling, non sparkling or hot water. staff is fantastic. the onsite spa is pretty nice too! they have a dog friendly wing (aptly named Dogwood) so bring your furbaby along with you! great place to stay and relax! read more

Wow, hard to believe that this getaway is less than 10 minutes from the Seattle Airport! The lodge offers exceptional amenities including complimentary breakfast, fully stocked "living rooms" (can you say ice cream???), customized pillow selection, free wifi, and of course free airport transportation. The only downside was that our balcony room faced a parking lot. When booking your room ask for the Dogwood building as that one consistently has the best views. We stayed here for Thanksgiving this year and it did not disappoint! All of it is true, lovely grounds, great customer service, big tub, 24/7 always stocked snacks lounge area, breakfast buffet. What made our stay even better was the friendliest front desk, Kayla?? (Will be posting a picture with her- far left) I'm not sure about her name but she was the absolute BEST!! If you are a millennial like me who travels quite often and enjoys more modern services/amenities, you may not be super excited about this hotel. I agree that the concept of this hotel is great and allows the guests feel closer to nature, etc., but there are a few things that need to be improved for a wider range of customers: - The interior of our room is a little old. When we walked in, it smelled like old carpet/wood and it smelled moldy. - There is no bottle water available in guest rooms at the hotel. This might be their environmental friendly choice; however, it's very inconvenient for us as guests--we travel quite often and haven't stayed at a hotel where we had to worry about water. We didn't want to use any water fountain at the hotel or drink water from the sink--think how clean they can be at a hotel. Also, not having bottle waters for guests isn't actually going to stop your guests from buying bottle waters anyway--the hotel must figure out a good, alternative way for the many guests just like us to get the water they prefer. - The restaurant Copperleaf at the hotel is okay. It was expensive considering how small the portion it was and the hotel location. For our food, plating looked weird and the meat I ordered came out like medium although I ordered medium well. We were still hungry after finishing our entree. The next night we ordered food delivered to us from local restaurants by using our UberEats app which was way better. - The free breakfast was okay. If you love pastry I think you will like it. We enjoy savory breakfast more but there was no potato or bacon... At least they could have had some potato available as an option for those who need savory food/carbs. - The layout of the room area/building complex was quite a walk and we had to use our room keys several times and took elevator a few times to get to our room from the lobby. The directions/signs at the property weren't clear enough. It's a pretty pricey hotel so given the amenities etc. next time we will stay somewhere else. What's to like about this hotel for us was the hotel shuttle was convenient; the amount of natural light we got in our room was good, and the hotel staff seemed friendly. Decided to surprise my wife with a little get away to Seattle, Washington. Because of my fair share of travel with my job, I tend to look for a hotel by the airport for the convenience factor. Found Cedarbrook Lodge, the Yelp pics showed this lodge to be a pretty nice hotel at great prices, fellow Yelpers all had great things to say about the lodge, so I booked our reservations. When we got to the airport, Cedarbrook came and picked us up in their own shuttle (Mercedes was the vehicle, not too bad!) The pulled up to the lodge in the evening and despite it being dark, we still noticed how beautiful the lodge was, we couldn't wait to see the ground during the day. We checked in and we were given a room with a view. We were also told that our level had a living room area where you can sit by a fire, watch t.v., have access to free snacks and ice cream. As we were on the way to our room, we passed the living room and it was warm and inviting and then we saw the snacks! Milk chocolate covered malt-balls, dark chocolate malt-balls, mint covered malt-balls, chocolate covered raisins, a basket of assorted kettle chips and Haggen Daz ice-cream, assorted flavors. They also had free cheese and yogurt for their guests! We were totally stoked! Our room seemed to be updated, the only issue was the lounge chair had a big stain on it. Can't believe house keeping didn't notify management that it needed to be clean. They didn't have a king bed available so we got a room with 2 beds. One bed we left to lay clothes on, the other we slept in. Day 2, we shifted the pillows on the bed where we laid our clothes, one of the larger throw pillows had a nice size amount of dust on it, clumps of dust to be exact. I took pics, will post later. We took the pillow and left it at the door for our house keeper to replace it. Trust me, she couldn't miss the pillow and there is no one she could have missed the clumps of dust. We also left her a $5 tip for her services of cleaning our room. We left to the explore the city, came back later that afternoon and the room looked great! She took her tip but guess what, she left the throw pillow with the clumps of dust on the bed but instead of putting it back on the bed we were not using, she put it on the bed we slept on. We were a little annoyed about that. Anyways, management, probably time for a team meeting with your house keeping department. They do offer free breakfast. Salmon, capers, eggs, bacon, hash browns, a variety of bread you can toast, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, fresh juices and Pikes Coffee. Can't beat a free breakfast. I would give the hotel a 5 out of 5 review but the dirty pillows had us a tad disappointed. When we visit again, we will come back despite the pillow, it really is a great lodge to stay in. First I'll start with the good. The front desk, valet, servers and spa were all incredibly nice and helpful. This is also a beautiful hidden gem in SeaTac as others have said. Lots of wood, peaceful and nice views. Price is not bad at all for this type of location. The bad. We arrived 1 hour after check in and was told our room was not ready and having maintenance done. Luckily this was resolved quickly. We were then told what building we are staying in but not where the room is. So we wandered the halls for awhile before finding it at the very end of the bottom floor. Annoying but not a big deal. Our room had not been properly vacuumed as there was bits of paint and metal ornaments on the floor. It had also not been dusted in a very long time. As I moved the magazine on the table it became very apparent at what color the table was supposed to be. The room was listed as having two robes but only came with one. So I called the desk, they apologized and said one would be sent right out. We ordered food at the same time. Which arrived in 45 min but no sign of the robe. At an hour I called again to make sure we were not forgotten. They assured me one was on its way. 2 and a half hours go by and there is a knock on the door. The man is very angry with me and telling me it's my fault that we didn't get our robe because the do not disturb sign was out. Maybe this is my fault, but when I call twice to specifically get something I would imagine they know I want it. All of the rooms around us are under construction they have done a good job at being as quite as possible, but you can still hear the occasional grinding and scraping. I am writing this on our 3rd day and about to check out. And our room service from the first night is still sitting outside our room waiting to be picked up. I'm probably nitpicking, but a dirty room that was under equipped and a rude employee is why I have given this a 2 star rating. I see that this is also just my experience so I recommend reading others. We will not be staying here again but will definitely make the trip for the amazing spa. read more

Save your money. I booked a weekend stay here during Labor Day to take advantage of their spa. I had a massage and facial booked and decided to stay here two nights to make the most of the relaxation. First, I arrived around 9pm. They had given me complimentary parking which was very kind. This place is much more spread out than I expected and there is no way to park close to the entrance. I booked this weekend to relax after getting in an accident that left me with a temporary walking impediment and it was really challenging how far the walk from my car is to get into any entrance. It is also pitch black at night with no visible signs anywhere of which building is which. Going back to my injury and issues with walking, I ended up in the building behind the one my room was in and it was really frustrating because again, there were no signs anywhere. A guest pointed me in the right direction. Next, you can not control the temperature of your room. It was HOT at night and I ended up waking up every few hours. The snack bar is a cute idea, however the ice cream had freezer burn and the snack dispensers had crumbs all over. Finally, I get to my first full day at the resort. I wake up at 8 to get ready for my 10am massage. As I'm walking out of my room at 9:30, I get a call from the spa saying my massage has been cancelled. Something came up and they were down to only one masseuse. Things happen, I get it. It's also COVID times so extra precautions are necessary, but interesting that there are so many call outs on a three day holiday weekend. And every masseuse but one? I wonder what their Covid policies and vaccination rates are. Ultimately, after the last 12 hours of being here with the main reason I booked my visit cancelled, I decided to cancel my other spa service and cancel the rest of my stay. I was given 50% off my next massage (I'm not coming back so it's a moot point) and $50 off the night I had stayed here. So all in all, I spent $170 to sit in my hotel room with no guest wifi and leaving with more knots and injuries than when I drove here. I could have done that at home. I thought about stopping by the restaurant on my way out, but honestly, I've given this place enough of my time and money. read more

The reason I booked the place is that the placed looked absolutely charming and I can get some R&R before heading back home. When i got to the hotel to check in and the person was sharinf w me their amenities & directions. At this time, he mentioned that their spa was not currently open. Meh! He then pointed out the hours that room service was available. Fast forward I ending up calling room service & it kept going to voice-mail. Never left a msg but called back multiple times. After a awhile I called front desk and they said they didn't have anyone working at room service that day. (?????) Whats the point of having vm if no one was managing it to call you back?? Why wouldn't it just be re-routed to the front desk. If I had known I would've gone out to dinner early on. Front desk said I could order from their restaurant but I would need to pick it up. I called the restaurant and it also kept going to voice-mail. Getting frustrated. Called front desk and the gal said she would have someone call me. The $20+ burger was mediocre at best. So dissatisfied with the whole experience for the price point paid. No comp was offered due to all their nonsense. We stayed here last year on our first trip to Seattle and absolutely fell in love. First of all the atmosphere is that of a lodge hence the name. Feels like you are secluded in the woods and creates an awesome ambiance. Our room was great with floor to ceiling windows of the beautiful garden and trees. The bedding was so soft and plush. We were surprised at the pillow menu they had, as we are huge pillow freaks. You can literally order from a menu of pillows to lay your head down at night. My partner ordered the buckwheat pillow and I ordered the medium down pillow. Perfect sleep. The windows in the room open so that you can smell the fresh air of Seattle and cool the room at the same time! We are booking again! read more

I, like millions of other Americans spent Thanksgiving by myself due to Covid. Therefore a relative gifted me the Thanksgiving dinner from the Copper Leaf restaurant at the Cedarbrook Lodge in SeaTac, WA. It was amazingly delicious. I can't even pick one entree as my favorite as they all were scrumptious. However, because my dinner was for 2 people I ate both hazelnut pumpkin tarts before the dinner as they were the best ever. I sincerely hope the entire dinner is available next year as I'm the Copper Leaf's restaurant, kitchen and staffs number one fan. I had lunch there once before before and the meal was equally as good as was ambiance and service. Very Pacific Northwest. I've visited the spa twice for manicures and pedicures and again I was very pleased with the service and beautiful results. We had an amazing experience here - Denise at the front desk was so so helpful and kind when our travel plans fell through. She helped us get the last two rooms available and graciously went above and beyond to make sure that we had a place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and the free ice cream was a nice touch :) We also enjoyed being served by Duncan at the bar - the cocktails were perfectly balanced and delicious. Many guests gush with love for this hotel! I have relatives who do. It is expensive with the amenities that are typically found in its price category -- super clean, plush towels and bedding, Enjoyable touches like free haagan daz ice cream, yoghurt, maltballs - white, milk and dark chocolate - and a fullscale breakfast buffet. The complex is actually six buildings, served by one fairly small lobby and service desk. There is no question that the grounds are lovely, multiple seating areas with a well-designed brook that feeds into a koi pond, all very well maintained. While we were there, a wedding was held outside and there were lots of cameras at work to record the wedding and the wonderful backdrop of gardens. For my tastes, however, there are too many cutsie touches. For example, each building has a room that functions for guests like an untended lobby. In our building, said room was furnished with a giant TV screen, generous seating, gas fireplace and a commercial refrigerator that held the snacks and ice cream. The management refers to this as a "living room". When I sought ice for our room, I was advised it was in the living room. As hotels don't normally have such a room, the advice was meaningless. Other cutsie touches were signs in the garden area saying, Bees at Work. In the room is a "Pillow Menu" that includes nine types of pillow that can be ordered from the front desk. read more

Met here for a conference. Rooms were comfortable but noisy (vents constantly blowing and stomping from neighbors upstairs at 4am). Meal staff was nice and attentive but they struggle with providing appetizing meals for specialized diets (eg. GF and Vegan). I appreciate that the produce is local but not that they didn't wash the lettuce thoroughly enough to prevent grit and bugs. I will say the rest of the staff was really attentive to my needs, with particular kudos to Lucy and Tina who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was good. read more

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. The Cedarbrook Lodge is wonderful. Everything about it made the stay there, with dozens and dozens of friends and family for my daughter's wedding, not only stress free, but a purely enjoyable experience. The only thing they could not help with was the rain - but then again, there were lots of golf umbrellas we borrowed for the rehearsal - so I guess even that is an added bonus. First off, the grounds and facilities are gorgeous. Simply and stunningly gorgeous. I enjoyed sitting outside in ALL of the various outdoor spaces and taking in the view as I let my thoughts wander freely during a very busy, emotional, and exciting time in my life. It was relaxing and revitalizing. Everyone on the staff was professional and a pleasure to work with. Shout out to Pepper at The Spa - that woman is a force majeure and a delightful human - They went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. My husband left behind his briefcase, and we realized it after returning the rental car -the Lodge sent a driver to the airport to meet us there and return it to him - that's service! The food and beverages were fantastic - totally top shelf. They even have a farm to table garden for the restaurant and spa. They have beehives - the honey is about as pure and fresh as it gets, and like eggs and tomatoes, home grown is vastly superior to anything else. The living rooms and the free snacks are comfortable and yummy respectively. Try the mint chocolate malt balls - enough said. . Wow, who would think SeaTac would have a gem like Cedarbrook tucked away in a preserve just a stones throw away from the airport. I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Cedarbrook for a work conference. Everything was absolutely fabulous. My raves: super comfy bed and pillows (actually a pillow menu), wonderful "living rooms" with free snacks that include malted milk balls, ice cream, chips, yogurt and string cheese, great work out facility, delicious continental+ breakfast and overall a wonderful cozy feel. The staff was great and very attentive. The only down sides I found was being charged to self park and the rooms are a bit small. These two issues would not stop me from highly recommending and coming back to Cedarbrook. An amazing oasis by the airport! read more

My bf and I stayed at the Cedarbrook lodge for three nights, this was our first time ever coming here and we had the best experience. Everyone was so nice, helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Chris at the front desk checked me in and made sure that I got to my room safe for it was about midnight and I checked in alone without my bf. Patti and Jordan were so kind and took the time to explain how to get to downtown seattle and the best way to do it. I've never rode the light rail and only been to downtown seattle once so they gave me a map showed me exactly where the light rail goes and circled the stop I should get off at. They really made it easy and helped ease my anxiety about it. They offered a variety of complimentary amenities as well as free ice cream and other snacks like malt balls and chocolate covered raisins at your convenience. Each building has a lounge area with a tv, several places to sit, a refrigerator/freezer you can store some of your perishables in and complimentary ice. They have a microwave and a nice filtered water/hot water machine. Plastic utensils also available if you need them. You don't need to ask anyone for anything it's just there for you to enjoy. We had a great time walking around the property exploring what they had to offer, like the garden they have and source some of their ingredients from for the restaurant, they have a little beehive area some small trails and a nice hot tub that is right next to the gym.
