When you arrive to this hotel, it's hard to believe that you're still in Seattle Washington - simply because it's so beautiful and spacious. The location is fantastic - I calculated about ten minutes from Sea Tac airport and thirty to forty five minutes to downtown - depending on when you go. A friend and I closed down the bar one night while I was there - so the drinks were delicious and service was great. The free continental breakfast was tasty and served with fresh brewed Starbucks and a view of the nature preserve. Free wi-fi throughout the hotel to include the rooms. The rooms themselves didn't come with a fridge but in each building, there's a main area that has a fridge you can use. Really awesome that the freezer section was stocked with pint-sized ice cream for guests like me - with midnight snack cravings. In this main area, one can also find a fireplace, tv, water, chips, and other snacks to choose from. So why didn't this heavenly place with the gorgeous views get five stars? The price to stay each night might put a small dent in your pocketbook, they didn't offer any military discount, and there's a fee for parking - whether you valet or park yourself. Of note: there isn't a big difference between what you pay the valet and what you pay to park yourself - unless of course, you're a big valet tipper. In that case, more power to you. read more

This was such a nice hotel with beautiful grounds! We made the most of our one day here, enjoying a great workout at the gym (one of the nicest I've ever seen at a hotel!) and a soak in the hot tub. Our beds and pillows were ridiculously comfortable and the bath towels were thick and luxurious. The bath products were very nice as well. The room and bathroom were very spacious and nicely appointed, and we had a nice view out onto the hotel grounds, which have a zen-botanical vibe. I also have to say the in room dining was honestly the best food I can recall ever having at a hotel. I had a salad made with a superb herbed vinaigrette and local little gem lettuces that were so fresh and springy it looked like they had been picked out of the garden only minutes prior. The break room with seemingly unlimited supplies of free snacks like yogurt, string cheese and ice cream was a delightful surprise. Very friendly and warm staff as well. If I ever come up to Seattle for business, I'll definitely stay here again! Hard to believe this relaxing oasis is right near the airport. read more

Perhaps I am in a unique position to review Cedarbrook.... We had our wedding at Cedarbrook and have been dealing with them in detail for over a year. Now granted I have only had one wedding, but the people and staff at Cedarbrook were extremely accommodating to making our day exactly how we wanted. We were assigned a specific person to help us along the way and she was available via email and by phone whenever we needed. The food and chef's here are amazing. At our wedding we had them make up a few custom dishes, one was a macaroni and cheese type dish with cheeses made from Beecher's cheeses (which is a local cheese company here in Seattle), also a smoked applewood chicken, and a steak dish. All came with sides, and all of the dishes were extremely good. When we had our tasting there the chef personally came out and asked us if we wanted anything different, any modifications to the dishes, etc. The atmosphere here was exactly what we were looking for. It sort of has a modern/rustic fusion with lots of wood and a very nice landscaped grounds. The hotel rooms are very nice as well, top notch. They have a common area with a loaded refrigerator stocked with waters, juices, various ice creams, yogurt, as well as various kinds of malt balls/yogurt covered pretzels.... all complementary! you cant beat that. The staff at Cedarbrook goes out of their way to make everything top notch. We had dozens of people staying there for our wedding and many of our wedding guests commented how nice the staff was and how they made the stay very pleasant, above and beyond. So... if you are considering Cedarbrook for a special occasion like a wedding, or if you are considering them for any event I would highly recommend. Great location if you need to stay close to the airport. The windows were double paned so I didn't hear any plane noise. Clean, comfortable room with a good desk and ergonomic chair for working. All in all, don't think I'd really go back here. Not but a couple miles from SEA TAC airport is this "lodge." Now, when I'm thinking of a lodge, I'm thinking I'm driving through wine country/forest/mountain/something other than a near run-down neighborhood. MEH to that! Taking the turn into the street and I first spot a hot pink and blue house...some kids on their bikes...wondering if i was even in the right spot...but I was! In front of me was the lodge indeed. Got there a bit early and we were not able to check in. No biggie. They said they would call us when the room was ready so we went to grab a bite and some beer. The restaurant area is small but nice decor with fire place. Our waiter gave us great recommendation of beer. The menu was very, very limited in the bar area. Hmph. I asked for a plate of veggies and dip...they said they could accommodate and what I got was a bunch of veggies cooked in butter. Oh well. 4PM (check in time) rolls around and we hadn't been called yet for our room. Went to front and they said it STILL WASN'T READY!! So we wait. And wait. We had a wedding to get to on property not to mention we still needed to change clothes. 4:30 and we finally get our stinking room. Lots of other folks seemed to be having a similar problem. Not sure what the heck the issue was but it wasn't a great start. Rooms are small but nice. Nice products in the bathrooms. Keurig coffee machine. Flat screen TV. And also THE WORST BEDS IMAGINABLE! I don't know what the heck it was but I had never been more uncomfortable. Super stiff bed. Thick pillows that ended up making my neck hurt because I was being 'propped up' in a weird way. Needless to say I got no sleep that night. Also because they put us by the door so room was very noisy from outside. Wedding venue was pleasant. Event staff was great. Food was mediocre. PROS: Snack lounge! There was free fruit, chips, malt balls and chocolate goodies, Haagen Daz mini ice creams, yogurt, string cheese! Nice restaurant with good drink selection. Food looked decent. Nice event space Clean Complementary breakfast included : bagels/breads/pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, juice, coffee CONS: Horrible beds, $15 a night parking, noisy rooms, had to wait super long to get into room with not a lot to do on property. read more

Let me first say that my girlfriend and I have been big fans of the cedarbrook and the copper leaf restaurant - we have many good memories of terrific meals and stays. That's why we were so disappointed recently with the experience we had at the copper leaf. We originally had reservations booked for later in the evening, and then we asked to move the reservation to an hour earlier. We were told that they could move the reservation as requested. About 15 before the reservation was scheduled, we got a call saying they could not accommodate us as promised. We were disappointed but we rolled with it and had an app and drink in the bar. While finishing up at the bar, we walked over to the restaurant desk to see when we could get our table. We were told that the table would be available in a few minutes and the person told us they'd come and get us when the table was ready, 10 minutes later, we still were waiting and now we were past the time of our original reservation. The problem was that there was no person in charge at the maitre d desk. There was no one there at all and customers had to flag down servers in order to check in and get table status. We finally got seated when a hard working server named Justin took charge and got us a table when we asked. He seated us and then we proceeded to wait for water and menus for another 10 minutes. We'd had enough. We could see that we were in for a lot more waiting and frustration so we decided to leave the restaurant before we got water and menus. There was a jazz concert on the grounds so clearly the staff had its hands full keeping up with the large number of people both inside and outside. This could have been the source of the problems we experienced. Advice to management: you need to have a manager directing traffic, especially when it's so busy. Your people, especially, justin, who literally was nearly running as he performed tasks, are working hard. read more

That's ridiculous, its not on their website and they did not tell me anything about that parking charge, nor would honor my BOGO reservation either ! ! A very charming lodge perfect for a weekend getaway. You have a beautiful garden and stream in the back perfect for a nice little nature walk, a small fitness center with an adjacent outdoor hot tub, a restaurant that gives you free breakfast with your room, and a very classy bar and restaurant that won't burn a hole in your budget. I had a mixed drink made from cynar and fernet, a nice herbal digestif like a bitter Jaegermeister that was absolutely wonderful as well as a duck confit pot pie and both inexpensive! read more

What an amazing experience! Upon checkin they greeted us so warmly and professionally. Our room was beautiful and luxurious. Loved the chocolate truffles waiting for us and glasses of wine! My bonus was the snow and the Xmas lights still up making it so magical. They had the best shampoos, etc... and another bonus was the community living room with water bottles and snacks complimentary with books, board games and tv for those who wanted to unwind amongst a roaring fire. This review is for the event planning (specifically weddings) attributes of the Cedarbrook Lodge. My fiance and I wanted a place in Seattle that would be convenient for all of our out-of-town family members to stay and enjoy during our wedding weekend. We have felt very glad we chose Cedarbrook for this reason, and that is because they make everything SO EASY! There has not been a single email or phone call I have made to their wedding coordinator (Terra) that has not been answered same-day. She is warm, welcoming, extremely organized, and very, VERY good at her job. She has helped me with nearly every aspect of our wedding at Cedarbrook: menu planning, booking rooms for our guests, finding a perfect space for our small-ish wedding of 45 guests (they didn't even try to up-sell us a bigger space at a higher price like other places did). She is wonderful, and I can't say enough good things about her. The Lodge itself is beautiful. We will be married on their lawn, with a reception on the patio and in the boardroom overlooking a pond. It is hard to believe this gem is in SeaTac, it is so peaceful and calming being there. The food we tasted at our tasting was incredible, I can't wait for our wedding buffet. All in all, so far, I have been extremely satisfied with Cedarbrook. The wedding is this Saturday, so I will be reporting back for sure :) read more

First time tagging along with my husband on his business trip to Seattle. I had no choice but to stay where he wants me to stay and to do what he says (obey his commands) if I wanted to have a free trip. So Cedarbrook Lodge it is! Cedarbrook Lodge is located off the beaten path (sort of). It's definitely tucked away behind a neighborhood. It has that "i'm going home" feel to it. Which interestingly enough, there was a sign at the computer center that says, "welcome home!". Coincidence? Hmmm. That was just the start of the we-pay-attention-to-detail atmosphere that they have so nicely cultivated. Let me just tell you, my first impression of this place wasn't the best. It was like, are they going to have all the accommodations? Is this place old? What's it going to smell like? The strategic design of this place makes you feel like you are staying in a humongous tree house in the middle of the forest. The landscape is breathtaking! The check in area is cozy, small, modest yet there's this gigantic real christmas tree (the kind that smells so darn good) elegantly dressed and so beautiful. The concierge lady who greeted us and checked us in was incredibly friendly too -- and patient. Right away it gave us such a warm feeling inside. Our room is located just a short walk from the front desk. There is complimentary snacks, drinks and ice available (24/7) in the lounge area where there is a large flat screen tv and comfy sofas. Oh and the Haagen Daz ice cream is perfect for late night cravings (all-you-can-eat)...I did have to refrain myself and only had one. This place is perfect for a work trip! It is equipped with private boardrooms and computer areas where you can even print up to 5 pages if you want. For free! Unlimited WiFi too?! It is a dream come true. And to top it off, they have sea salt oil rubs for your hand in their bathroom! That was the cherry on top that was the reason why I was so excited to sit down and write this review. I am all about the attention to detail and this place has has out done itself in so many ways. I am a big fan and hope I will have a chance to come back to Seattle to enjoy another round. Let's just say, I was supposed to into downtown Seattle for a day of exploration, but instead, I stayed put and worked the whole time. PS, The restaurant serves great food too! This place is great to say at but it has some pros and cons. Pro: Free Snack, water, ice cream, internet, parking, and breakfast. Place is very clean and the bathroom soap bar is better than most. Free pool table in the bar and gym is amazing. Cons: No refrigerator, room was small for what you pay. The bed is only a queen bed and the curtains don't keep all the light out in the morning. When people close their doors it is very loud and kept me up at night. No jacuzzi. I had a issue with the suite next to us had a connecting door but was supposed to be locked. At midnight someone opened the door and started to enter our room. This woke us up from our sleep and I yelled out to who that was and they shut the door. This was very creepy and as I said before the doors were very loud all night and every time I heard one I kept thinking someone was entering our room. I tried to extend my stay for a few more days from the weekend to the week and the price was almost double from what my holiday weekend price was. read more

I've stayed at Cedarbrook Lodge about 3 times so far for board retreats. It's such a great place, especially for the location! You'd never know you were right next to the airport. Clean, spacious, tranquil, there are always snacks, including a drawer full of Haagen-Dazs ice cream! The reception staff are always very friendly. I called this past weekend about my upcoming stay in May. I will be traveling with my two small dogs and was concerned because I had read online that they only accept one dog up to 50lbs. I was informed that this rule had recently been changed and they now accept any amount of dogs of any size! So glad that my beloved mutts will be welcomed here as well. I'm removing one star for the lack of a variety of vegetarian foods. They have been very accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions (our gluten-free family member's meals looked delicious), but as a vegetarian, I eat mostly sides here. I was disappointed to find no vegetarian entrees at the restaurant one time and was instructed to order a regular meal without the meat portion. I'm sure this is a great place for people who love fish, though! I just wish there was more variety, it gets to the point where I can guess which side dish I'll receive on which day. The hubby and I chose to stay here for the weekend since we planned on going to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. We thought it would be a closer drive than staying in Seattle. I highly recommend this hotel if you have a rental car and are planning on visiting different cities in the area. If you plan on spending most of your time in Seattle, it is a bit of a drive into Seattle (about 20 minutes), and you might want to find some place to stay in Seattle and avoid a car rental all together. Seattle is a fairly walkable city. That being said, we would definitely stay at Cedarbrook Lodge again. The entire staff was pleasant and responded promptly to our needs. The rooms were cozy, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also nicely sized. If you are staying here as a part of a business trip, there is a nice sized desk for working, and plenty of storage space for clothing if you're here for an extended work trip. There is also a communal living room area for each lodge with a refrigerator to store any leftovers you might have from eating out. There is also a microwave in the communal living area for rewarming said leftovers. The hotel also stocks the area with snacks (chips, fruit, candies, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, and water) for you to enjoy as a part of the room rate. I will say though that there seemed to be a chip bandit the weekend we stayed, as every time they filled the basket up with chips, it seemed to be quickly emptied. In addition to the snacks provided, there is a daily continental breakfast provided as a part of the room rate as well. They provided a nice variety of breads, pastries, and fruit. There was also cereals, salmon, and hard boiled eggs provided as a part of the breakfast. Also, I wanted peanut butter for my toast instead of butter, and the wait staff was more than willing to accommodate my request for peanut butter. This hotel is also a nice place to stay if you are local and just looking to get away from home and relax for the weekend. The grounds are pleasantly landscaped, and I would have loved to wander around them more if it weren't cold the weekend we stayed. They even offer free water and snacks. The beds were comfortable, it was right around the corner from the airport, and easy access to the train that goes to Seattle. Very nice accommodations. Clean and comfortable rooms but on the smaller size. The room had the feeling of a cruise ship stateroom, though the bathroom was standard size. Contemporary bathrooms, tons of storage (well designed rooms), and quiet location so close to the airport all contribute to four stars. The mattress was very comfortable and the linens were fine quality. The only things on our wish list would be heated flooring in the bathroom (the tile is COLD), and elimination of the $20 parking fee. That seems excessive for this location. The spa is a little above average, but the massages are outstanding. Spa staff are awesome. No saunas or steam rooms here though, and the men's changing room is tiny. The space is poorly designed - in the men's changing room the restroom is huge, the one shower stall is huge, but the actual changing/locker area is tiny. Any more than two guys and it becomes awkward. The breakfast that's included was less than impressive. Cold cereals, oatmeal, some pastries, and hardboiled eggs. We scanned the offerings and decided to have breakfast at 13 Coins. I think it's reasonable to expect a hotel in this class - with the restaurant operation it has onsite - to provide guests with more fulfilling breakfast options. Buffet, omelet stations, etc. at the very least. I would recommend this hotel for out of town visitors (with no car - use their shuttle). For locals there are plenty of other options that don't charge the parking fee. read more

Stayed here for the weekend and the visit had ups and downs. It is a beautiful place and our room was amazing. My husband and I both got massages at the spa, I got a mother to be massage which felt great and he loved his massage. The relaxation room is also amazing. The next day we got pedicures and I wish we hadn't. While the women themselves were nice and enjoyable the actual service was really bad. My nails were cut so short and the shellac was done really poorly. My toes actually looked worse than the polish I had applied myself going into the weekend so a huge let down as I am pregnant and was really looking forward to my feet being pampered. My husband said his service hurt the majority of the time. And it wasn't cheap with tip It was over $100 so you would expect a pretty nice pedicure at that price but it felt like a $20 service. Another not so great experience was dining at the restaurant. We had made reservations in advance and were excited to have a nice fancy dinner. As soon as we arrived our attitude changed, we had 6pm reservations and the restaurant was not packed what so ever but for some reason we were sat in the middle of 2 tables that were so close together it was shocking. Like I said the restaurant was not packed so it wasn't that loud and we could hear every word from both couple on either side of us. It felt like the 6 of us were at 1 table. We had to whisper almost the entire dinner it was not the romantic and enjoyable experience we had hoped for. Additionally our waitress checked on us once during our meal, my husbands had to flag her down to ask for bread after being seated for about 20 minutes and she wasn't very friendly. The food was really quite good but the experience was a let down. The dinner was about $200 without drinks or dessert so I would expect them to not cram guests SO close together I understand it's a small space but it was so uncomfortable it ruined the mood. The only other thing that was annoying was that the elevators were down our entire stay. I understand things like that happen but oh my gosh I am 8 months pregnant and walking up and down flights of stairs every time we left our room was really exhausting and took away from the relaxation I was hoping for for the weekend. Check out was also a nightmare the women who helped us was so rude I couldn't believe it we had a gift card that I guess had an issue at the spa they never posted our payment so we weren't sure what the remaining balance was and the women had to walk downstairs to check how much our spa services were to use the remaining towards our room and she acted as though we were being a huge inconvenience the entire time. I will say the lady who checked us in and was at the desk during our check out was really pleasant and helpful and always had a wonderful attitude. I wish I got her name but she had long brown hair and wore glasses she had great customer service. read more

Great hidden location close to the airport. Nice rooms and amenities. Snacks like chips, malted milk balls, ice cream and water bottles a plus! I really like being able to text back and forth with questions before we arrived. AMAZING breakfast that comes with your stay. Smoked salmon and bacon among other choices for a huge breakfast to start your day. My only suggestion would be to add USB ports around the building for charging devices. I was one of those forgetful guests who brought their charging cord but not the outlet adapter. The option to download an app that is connected to a charging station is hard to do if your phone is already dead. :) I was surprised there were no USB ports in the public areas at least...or loan out the adapters from other forgetful guests who leave them plugged in when they check out. :) Thanks for the nice stay- I will try the spa next time! read more

Very unexpected oasis near airport. Greeted with a friendly smile and a very happy couple checking out as I was checking in. They could not stop raving about their experience. I'm always skeptical but I must say CedarBrook delivered! I stayed in Single Queen room . Windows opened up for fresh cool breeze on the morning. No city noises or smells. Comfy robes available and my personal favorite was the Pillow Menu! I tried a few during my stay. Each building has "living rooms" stocked with treats 24/7. Nice touch. Lodge was spotless. If your ok driving a few minutes into town this is worth the stay. Bfast had a nice variety of options. And all this just up the street from airport! I can't wait to come back! read more

I have to say I dont give a lot of 5 star reviews for hotels, but after having stayed here at Cedarbrook Lodge so many times I have trouble not giving it such as great rating. From the moment I check in with the extremely pleasant and helpful front desk staff, to my last PNW continental breakfast, the accomodations are always fantastic. The rooms are clean, amenities and grounds are so peaceful and beautiful, and of course the treats in the common rooms in each building are an excellent point of service. Each time I book a room here they do everything they can to accomodate all of my requests, and have never let me down. My only comment that is just a pet peeve for me would have to do with the breakfast. While I enjoy all of the great things they serve, from the smoked salmon to all of the other items, after staying here over the past year, nothing changes on the breakfast, with the exception maybe of the types of pastries served. A little change is good, and speaking for myself, would be greatly appreciated. read more

We initially were just interested in attending TomatoFare (which was amazing btw) and then decided to book a room last minute. It's Northwest style lodging at it's best. Since we booked a room, we were able to attend TomatoFare at no additional cost. Did I mention that TomatoFare was amazing? Anyhow. We booked a Deluxe King in the newer Alder building. Bed was very comfortable and the room was really nice. While it didn't come with a tub, it did come with a spacious walk-in shower. And if you really want to soak, they have an awesome jacuzzi by the gym. Lots of mentions about the snacks and rightfully so! Malt balls, string cheese, haggen daz. Some great local snacks, too. The potato chips were local. The yogurt was local. Even the bottled water was local. Impressive! While we're on the topic of food, Copperleaf restaurant is lovely and deserves a review of it's own. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. It was a treat even just to walk around Cedarbrook. Between the living rooms, the spa, and the deluxe breakfast; It really just felt like a peaceful resort. So many thoughtful amenities. Overall, Cedarbrook is a comfortable and restorative place to spend a night. read more

The Cedarbrook Lodge is a beautiful resort. It's hard to believe that a property like this exists so close to an airport. The Cedarbrook is situated on an 11 acre property in the middle of a residential neighbor. It is a very peaceful place. The rooms are good size and nicely appointed. The bed are very comfortable. They have a pillow menu with various types of pillows available. Great walk in shower with good water pressure. Large flat screen TVs. There are free snacks available 24 hours a day in the common areas. They have yogurt, string cheese, chocolates, nuts, bottled water, ice cream, etc. The complimentary breakfast was very good. I was expecting continental breakfast but they had bacon, oatmeal and eggs available as well. Everything was delicious, especially the oatmeal and the bacon. It was a very pleasant surprise. They have a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport and also to the Link light rail station. The shuttle does not go downtown only to the Link station where you can get downtown. The Wifi worked great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you don't want to eat at the on-site restaurant or go to downtown, the resort can make reservations for you at Saltys. Saltys has a free shuttle that picks up at the resort. They will make a restaurant reservation for you when you book the shuttle. Saltys offers free dessert to Cedarbroook Lodge guests. Try the chocolate cheesecake. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. read more

Outstanding!!!! I didn't want to leave. Check in was a breeze, excellent service from the beginning. I was told about all of the amenities that came along with my stay. Where everything was, the hours available, I felt very "at home". I was there for my birthday so I headed up to my room, I was given a choice of a walk in shower or tub, I chose the tub since you are able to go down to the spa to create complimentary bath salts to take back to your room or home with you. I stayed in the Spruce building. Downstairs there is 24 hr Haagen Das ice cream (a variety of flavors), yogurt, cheese sticks, sparkling water, candies, chips and other snacks. In the Spruce building there is the fitness center. Before I even got to my room I was in heaven surrounded by the wilderness. My room, beautiful! The view gorgeous! The tub!!!!!!! HUGE!!!!! I loved everything about this resort. The customer service was beyond my expectations. The breakfast the next morning was GREAT! Choices from smoked salmon, oatmeal with fresh pecans, to fresh fruit, eggs, back and sausage to bread goods. The presentation was perfect and tasted so good! A very nice choice of beverages. I could not believe the experience I had for such a low price. I just love this "gem"! This is definitely somewhere that I needed to be every other month. read more

What a lovely place to decompress and spend time. You don't want to leave. You feel relaxed the moment you walk I their doors. The atmosphere is quiet. The service and staff is friendly and wonderful. The breakfast is healthy and yummy. The dinner menu is expensive and fancy. It doesn't cater to kids or to the vegetarian, but there are plenty of restaurants within a few miles you can go to. Their living areas stocked with yummy snacks are wonderful. The gardens are lovely and the waterfalls and ponds are very nice. There are tons of trees and green grass. It doesn't feel at all like an airport hotel, however you are just a mile away. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and clean. Lots of desk area if you need to get some work done. I highly recommend this diamond in the rough and hope to stay here again soon. read more

I can't rave enough about this place! Everything was superb. The check-in people were great, the pillows and beds were EXTREMELY comfortable. I saw a review saying the rooms were a little small, but I definitely didn't think so. The scenery was enchanting and the perfect backdrop for our honeymoon. There actually is a hot tub (outdoor), which caught me off-guard since I didn't see that anywhere that I looked and didn't bring a bathing suit. Now, I've been to MANY hotels. And I always get one with complimentary breakfast - "no breakfast, no sale" is my motto. Realistically, when I am on vacation (even for only a couple of days), I want as much taken care of as I can get. This place did it all. The breakfast was really wonderful. However, one minor snag was that their website promised some sort of potato and egg casserole or something and that wasn't there. I was pretty much stuck with limited options because I have to eat Gluten-Free. The potatoes would have really helped. So, because of that minor infraction, they are officially the 2nd Best Hotel Breakfast I've Ever Tried. There were also a couple of issues with restaurant staff, but not enough to make more than a passing comment. Justin D. in the lounge more than compensated for any trouble we experienced from other less-pleasant members. He was great! Yes, there are snacks in the communal living room. I think I read in a review that it was "only yogurt, cheese and ice cream" and that they "should have a little more variety". Well, whoever you are... I don't know what places you've stayed at but in this low of a price range, I can say that there is more than enough variety for FREE FOOD. I would like to see it more regularly restocked, but I still don't complain. My husband and I have decided to get our vow renewal at Cedarbrook when we reach 5 years, that is how immensely this place made an impression on us. read more

I recently stayed here while visiting my father who is under hospice care. During a very difficult time for myself, this place provided a calm, peaceful atmosphere and lovely retreat. A secret retreat tucked away 8 min from the airport. Absolutely my favorite hotel in Seattle! So quaint and charming. Love the cabin feel and the beautiful pathways around the buildings. Definitely recommend this place! Just wish they had more rooms so availability is better! Totally got lucky today and grabbed a recent cancellation. So stoked about the FREE snacks in the lounge! What a stunning property! This hidden gem is immaculate! You really feel like you are staying at a well appointed lodge in the middle of nowhere. Customer service is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and bathrooms have soaking tubs. The lodge offers free Häagen-Dazs ice cream, yogurt, string cheese, water and chips 24/7 in their living room lounge areas. Bottom Line: "Rivals or even supersedes the Ritz". My one-night stay at Cedarbrook Lodge was spectacular and remarkable! The customer service was above par, the venue was exquisite, and the room I stayed in was well appointed and comfortable. My expanded ratings are below: Customer Service: 5/5- Mishyara at the front desk made a world of difference. She was very friendly and accommodating and made the arduous process of checking-in to a hotel, pleasant. Every other staff that I got to interact with were very responsive and genuinely open to serving your every needs. I also got to enjoy the Bartenders company, Dino, while watching the last minutes of the NBA Eastern conference championship. He was great to have short-conversations with and the very knowledgable about the area. The people here are very courteous and friendly.... And this by far is one of the most important thing to excel in within the Service industry. Cedarbrook Lodge not only meets that criteria but exceeds it. Room: 4.5/5- while the room I got was AWESOME (deluxe King)... I did find some little things that were distracting. The first thing was that my door was unlocked/open when I first arrived to open it. I just wrote it off that housecleaning must have forgotten to undo the deadbolt that was holding it open. The second was that the toilet still had used toilet paper on the rims of the toilet... Which made me have a flashback of a "Porta-John" at a popular outdoor event. While these two things made the room experience a little uneasy... The rest of the room was well put together. They have an individual Keurig, a huge window, wall mounted TV, and a very ...very... Very comfortable bed. The deluxe rooms are a little smaller than most hotels, however, the amenities they provide compensate for the perceived shortfall. The best thing about the additional amenity is the "communal living room" in which it provides guests free water, cheese sticks, malt ball chocolates, Hagen-Daz ice cream and yogurt. It's nice to get out of the room and spend time in this luxurious room. It's what I would equate to the "club-level" at most well known 4-5 star hotels. Venue: 5:5- Cedarbrook has a SPA in their main building and a nice gym and hot tub. The gym isn't hay big but it has all the latest nautilus machines, limited free weights, and several cardio platforms. I didn't use the SPA service or the hot tub so I can't really speak to those, however, I have heard from a lot of guests here that they enjoyed their service. The areas aforementioned were clean and looked nice. They also have free continental breakfast, which was delicious and plentiful! Summary: While competing hotels may put the word "home" somewhere in their titles, Cedarbrook has gone far beyond just the title and actually make their clients feel like they are home. They accentuate the care for the individual while providing opportunities to commingle with other people if one chooses to. It truly is a "lodge" in every sense of the word but a very luxurious lodge. It's also very close to the SEATAC airport but one can not hear the air traffic that is normally associated with this type of proximity. If you are looking for a place to stay in Seattle/SeaTac, your search is over. You have found the best place!! We stayed for 2 nights after our cruise at the end of September. This place is awesome!! Everyone has already said everything so I will give our favorites: 1. Easy/close to the airport. Tom Tom got us there with no problem 2. Courtesy umbrellas. Being from San Diego and not owning an umbrella, we thought this was pretty cool. 3. The absolute best staff. They were the example of what customer service should be. They went above and beyond at ensuring we had a great stay. 4. Complimentary water, chips, ice cream, fruit, yogurt. What??? Who does this?? This alone convinced us to stay here again when we travel to the NW. 5. Beautiful grounds and relaxing atmosphere. 6. I have stay at Cedarbrook on several occasions, for years and I always look forward to returning. The staff at the reservation desk is very personable, professional and quite informed. Exceptional customer service and they make you feel appreciated. The rooms are warmly decorated, very clean and the beds are very comfortable.
