We spent a night here while in town mountain biking, just on a whim. The staff was excellent and courteous, very friendly. Room was fine, breakfast was excellent, one of the best "continental" breakfasts I've ever had! Coffee available all day, cookies at night. We just had a great time there. You can also easily walk about a mile into the historic downtown area across the footbridge and a little less than 2mi to the market, where we had awesome food at Fire and Ice. read more

My Aunt called and made a reservation at the Cedars Inn in East Wenatchee three weeks ago. She mentioned that the young man who took her reservation told her it was his third day on the job. She needed an Accessible room as she's using a walker and must have bars near the toilet and an accessible shower. So she reserved her room and that was that. When we arrived they informed us there were no ADA accessible rooms available but they DID get her a ground floor. The young lady behind the counter just kept saying that due to stay-overs there were no accessible rooms available. It turns out Auntie also needed 2 beds since she would be sharing the room with her sister and the Inn does not seem to have any Accessible rooms with 2 beds. So there was some confusion there. Here's where they went wrong: 1) Instead of offering an ADA compliant room (which she really needed due to her health issues and use of a walker) and then offering to bring in a fold out bed for her quest at time of reservation, they just kept confusing her. 2) when we arrived and were quite irritate they did not offer to call other hotels to see if someone else could accommodate our needs, or make any other efforts to help. Just kept repeating the same line over and over again. While I understand there was a misunderstanding between her and the hotel staff now, the way it was handled was deplorable! So we made due. I took a chair from the lobby and put it next to the toilet so Auntie could at least get herself onto and off the pot. I looked up the regulation as soon as we got settled. Here's what it says: "When a reservation is made for an accessible guest room, the specific accessible guest room reserved must be held for the reserving customer and the room must be removed from the reservation system." I talked to the manager and her response was that in no way would the offer any kind of reimbursement or even apologize. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Needless to say I will never set foot in that hotel again. read more

Loved this place, had to find somewhere last minute in East Wenatchee. Booked in to Cedars the night before. Staff were wonderful! Room was clean and fresh. Coffee/Breakfast Bar was great for grab and go. Did not get to try the indoor pool but it looked great! Kinda of handy with the Coldwater? Bar/Restaurant right next door. On a side note, the hotel was very full that Saturday. Was pleased to see the front desk handling all problems brought to her attention quickly, she went out of her way to see that the guests were happy. Only negative was the shower pressure in the morning, kind of week. read more

We decided to head to Wenatchee for a weekend on very short notice, and this was the only hotel I could find that had available rooms. I was a little leary, as I always am with non-chain hotels, but I had nothing to worry about. This hotel was wonderful and contributed to us having an awesome weekend. The little bit I had to interact with the staff I found them very friendly and professional. The room was clean, very comfortable and even smelled nice. The bed was great and the bathroom was extremely clean and had all the amenities of a much more expensive hotel. Complimentary breakfast was the exact same free hotel breakfast that I've seen at any hotel with a free breakfast. The hotel also gave out free cookies at 7pm, which was weird but, hey, free cookies. The pool is open until midnight, which is nice, but there is no adult swim time enforced so it was full of screaming kids until the time it closed. This place was a very (unexpectedly) nice place to stay. Definitely my go to place if I ever stay in Wenatchee again. read more

Omg a GREAT hotel for the cost. I have to say BEST FREE breakfast I've ever has hands. Down. A short drive to anywhere in Wenatchee. 30 mins from Leavenworth. The whole reason we were there. Its located across the river and by 2 main roads and cant hear a thing from our room. Ample parking for all hotel guest. The views are awesome. A indoor heated pool. We saw a ton of kids swimming in December I bet that was fun for them. The hot tub is outside. The front desk area was nice, inviting and the employees were helpful and sincere. Our room was on the second floor. The view of the river with a private balcony was pretty. You could see the current moving from our room. The room was clean and spick a span upon arrival. It had a desk, couch, microwave, fridge, coffee machine in room. Multiple garbage cans. I LOVE how the lamps had a plug in it so I didnt have to lean all the way over to find the plug to charge my phone. They had a nice flatscreen TV in the room with free TV. We could of ordered pizza in which was awesome. Between 7pm and 9pm the serve FREE baked cookies. Seriously how awesome is that. We went down and the entire hotel smelled like chocolate chip cookies. And dont get me started about the FREE continental breakfast!! By FAR the best breakfast I've ever had. They served eggs and sausage. Biscuits and gravy. They had toast, bagels, yogurt, muffins, and they had 3 automatic machines. 2 waffle iron machines. A automatic toaster machine and so cool a automatic pancake make machine. You literally pushed a button and in 2 mins 2 perfectly cooked pancakes popped out. And the drink bar was great. Had 4 or 5 juices to choose from. Teas, milk, coffee machine with all sorts of creamers. A hot chocolate machine. Had fresh fruit, cereal and oatmeal. If for any reason your in Wenatchee for business, or pleasure. Possible if booking your Leavenworth trip I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Dont judge it by its outside photos. I would stay here again. I stayed for two nights (Thursday & Friday) in a one bed King room. My friends were staying at Crescent Bar, I'm not a camper so I booked this hotel. For the price and the free breakfast (which was great) & free Wi-Fi, you can't go wrong. The staff was very pleasant, and I didn't need a lot of assistance. I will admit when I first got there I wasn't too sure of the place. It is old and outdated, but very clean and served it's purpose. They were working on painting door frames in the hall way when I was there. It was no inconvenience to me. I was on the ground level, I had a sliding door to the parking lot and ample parking available. It was nice to park right next to my slider so I didn't have to walk all the way into the hotel to move my bags into my room. Air conditioning worked fine. It is right next to highway 28, but the noise didn't bother me. Location was great for me... the hotel served it's purpose and my needs. No frills... free breakfast and free Wi-Fi... can't go wrong! Booked 2 nights here for a wedding last weekend. A day and a half before check-in we found we were only going to need one of the nights I had reserved, so I called right away to cancel the first night. The gal on the phone informs me I am outside of the 48 hour cancellation timeframe. 48 hours? wow. I asked if there was anyway she could work with me, since I just missed the time....No, I would be charged $222 for one night. Ugh. After I hung up the phone, I was thinking to myself that most hotels I've stayed at only need 24 hours notice for changes. I decided to check their website to make sure she was giving me correct info, and found that their website says "24 hour cancellation notice policy". When I called back she informed me that it was Octoberfest in Wenatchee, so the policy is different for "special event weekends". I told her that when I made my reservation I was never informed of any "special policy" and that they should honor what the online reservation system stated. She kept repeating herself, saying it was a "special event weekend" and there was nothing she could do. I was getting frustrated because I was within timeframe listed on their website, and I frankly didn't care that it was Octoberfest. After this went on and on, I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. She promptly told me she would change it for me "just this one time" but in the future I needed to be aware of "special event weekends" in the Valley. Mmmkay, no. Room was cheaply done, but the heater worked, and there was sheets and pillows. Our feet were dirty after walking around on the carpet while getting ready....ewww. A different girl checked us out, she was very friendly. Final thought....for your money, there are much better hotels across the river in North Wenatchee. read more

When we first got to the hotel, it smelled of sewage outside. Or toilet was backed up, and they had no more available rooms to move us, so my husband fixed it. Every time we opened the sliding door, all you smell is sewage. As with any hotel room, you couldn't keep a decent temp in the room. It was always too hot or too cold and the heater was loud as could be. The bed itself was comfortable but the comforter was cheap. The couch wasn't very comfortable either. Now on to breakfast. Everything you find online says how delicious their breakfast is.. This is beyond an exaggeration. Their "omelette" is reheated eggs, the sausage.... Was gross. The waffles tasted like cardboard and the syrup was too sweet. I think the only good thing about the breakfast was the cold cereal and bagels. Even the oj was tasteless. Upon checking out, our bill was $15 more then they said initially. And that was what was irritating the most. I personally do not recommend, but then again, you get what you pay for. read more

I was pretty surprised during my stay here. The staff was unbelievably helpful over the phone. Raven and her manager saved me some money on my stay and pretty much fixed the mess I made during my reservation on a different website, this was literally a LAST MINUTE decision. I booked this hotel literally 3 hours before we got there (12:05am) got us a room and it was comfortable. The breakfast, (which is the first thing I look for) was great, everything is there on the table I had 3 plates lol. Cookies at night time, vending machines, 711 in walking distance. The balcony floor has the best view BUT beware if you are on the second floor rooms 206-202 here are stairs you'll need to climb to get to your room so if u have a lot of luggage be ready to carry up 8 steps. Other than that I'll be back here again. Only reason why a 4 star is because the second floor ice machine is surrounded by rooms. Need to get it st the first floor for common courtesy. read more

Visiting Wenatchee on a Saturday night in summer can get expensive, hotels that rent cheap other times of the year can get outright expensive this time of year and fill up fast. So it was nice to find the Cedars. The hotel itself is shall we say, vintage, but it's clear they have attempted to update it. Our 3rd floor non smoking room was a hodgepodge of old and new. The beds and bedding were up to date (read: not those creepy polyester comforters of old) the mattresses were very comfortable, and pillows small but comfortable, and duvets. I checked upon arrival for any sign of bedbug activity and found none. The room smelled good and there was no smell of cigarette smoke IN the room but the halls and elevators did smell of stale cigarette smoke which is the risk any hotel runs when they offer smoking rooms. The bathroom was clean but the shower head and faucet were ancient and didn't work well but we figured it out. The separate sink area outside the bathroom was clean and well stocked with coffee pot, toiletries, and plenty of towels. One of our towels was badly ripped and I'm sure it was just overlooked by housekeeping. The carpets had stains here and there, and there were what appeared to be coffee spills on the walls and bed skirts. and a little pile of rolling tobacco under a chair that the vacuum missed (clearly a smoker found themselves in our non smoking room), the alarm clock was totally unplugged so we would have had to go to the trouble of plugging it in and setting the time so we left it, also there was a lightbulb out on a wall lamp . Pretty much all the things I noticed were not the end of the world, just hasty work by housekeeping. The important things (clean sheets, clean bathroom, and comfortable bed) were all up to par. The AC unit was loud but that's to be expected. The hotel is near a couple of casinos so it gets loud so we had to close the windows and use the AC. The breakfast the next morning is good but can get crowded, we didn't use the pool but it looked popular. Finally, the front desk staff was very friendly and we had no issues with our reservation that we made via hotels.com. All in all it was a decent stay and we would stay at the Cedars Inn again. We have stayed in the area before and used Holiday Inn and Red Lion before so we have a frame of reference of what's available in the area and how it compares. read more

Despite staying 2 weeks with this hotel, my husband and I planned to stay another 2 weeks with them (due to his work) and called ahead to plan for this... the hotel confirmed the reservation a few days ahead and then a few days later had no record of the reservation. Then they went on to tell us they don't have the vacancy to keep us for the time we needed. After a couple of phone calls we couldn't trust that we would have a place to stay with them. I would really like to give this place a ONE star but I hate to let one bad apple at the front desk justify for everyone and the entire stay. We have been traveling to Wenatchee over the last three years (from Seattle) Never have we had problems nor such rude service before. We have never been charged a deposit and honestly its not an issue at all, but when it's unprepared considering whenever we have paid cash before including TWO nights ago we never planned on a deposit, a 250$ deposit at that! I call to reserve a room for another night and they tell me we need the 250$ deposit..confused I explain to her our situation how we've already been staying there and we haven't been charged a deposit. She explains to me that and I quote "it really doesn't matter, I dont know who checked you in and it doesn't matter at this point because it's just bridge under the water and irrelevant right now" um...excuse me? If it wasn't for the snotty and rude attitude, inconsistency of customer service I wouldn't have had a problem. But we found better customer service, better rates, nicer pool and rooms about a block down at The Inn at the River and we stayed there all week with outstanding service! So thanks for the previous stays but we have now found a place for future trips to stay when we visit Wenatchee! One bad Apple ruined our experience with you guys! The best part was indoor pool & a outdoor jaccuzi. really enjoyed them. Breakfast was included in the tarriff. Breakfast is put on in lobby & it gets really crowded in morning. I like Cedars Inn and have stayed here for several years to go to the Autumn Leaf Festival in Leavenworth. It's a two-fer, you can see both Wenatchee/East Wenatchee/Leavenworth easily, and the rates are cheaper in Wenatchee for lodging. I was dismayed, though, that I was told that "pet friendly" rooms are now on first floor-- I like the view from the 2nd floor-- and when I inquired about the room I really wanted-- was abruptly told "You've been assigned room #___".... If I cared enough to call about the room I desired, I cared about this issue. While I understand hotels have reasons for their policies, it's important for the "face" of the hotel, it's front desk personnel, to convey a gentle attitude of caring even if they have to tell you "No" to what you want. I didn't get that impression. Also, the room rate I paid was higher this year-- and affordability, comfort and safety are still my main concerns. read more

I recently stayed at the Cedars Inn. I could not have been more impressed. My wife and I are on a road trip and we have stayed at 8 different motels across the northwest. I Can honestly say the cedars inn was a great surprise. It was the cheapest room rate in town and that's why we chose to stay. First Nicole at the front desk was friendly and kind and knowledgeable about the local area. The room was large very clean and cozy. They even had a Samsung smart TV in the room. Overall the hotel was clean and quiet. And their breakfast is incredible. They had pancakes waffles sausage biscuits and gravy toast cereal many types of drinks. Worth the stay. Do not pass by this hotel if you stay in Wenatchee. read more

This hotel was good when I checked in but then that night my 3yr old niece got a nose bleed and when I went to get my deposit they charged me $20 for a towel that she grabbed to stop her nose then the manager was very rude when I was talking to her and she wasn't helpful at all. Stayed here President's Day weekend 2017. Yes it's a bit dated but it's pet friendly, took our chihuahua, and had 24 hour swimming pool access, good breakfast included, pleasant and responsive staff! Good value! read more

I booked this hotel for 3 nights becuase it was realitively cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for. The hotel seems as if it hasn't truly been updated since it was opened. The rooms weren't dirty, but they definitely need to be updated. The curtains were fraying, there was painters tape left on the walls, the clock wasn't set, the shower didn't drain, and the list goes on. One of the biggest issues was how paper thin the walls were. I could hear full conversations of the people next to me and I swear I heard the people above me drop a bowling ball. If they would go through the rooms and clean up and pay attention to the small stuff I think they would be alright. The hotel staff was really friendly. This would have been a great hotel to stay at if I was only passing through, but we stayed 3 nights and just kept noticing the flaws. They did have a nice breakfast every morning that had waffles, pancakes, sausage, eggs, and few other things. read more

We stayed the night on March 29th the place was busy so that's great. What was not so great was the massive kids but hey it happens. We had an ok time and as expected didn't sleep well.. The thin walls were very thin (so thin you could hear people coughing next door) as I lay awake listening to someone else's noise machine I found dirt in my bed. Then my min went wild! I'm still itching and praying its in my mind. Come on how could a busy hotel be so neglectful as to not wash the sheets.. I noticed a could things like the smell of strawberries? What's that hiding and then the sheets that would normally smell like bleach didn't... I could live with the bad paint job in the bathroom and the back of the bathroom door with water damage but then... I checked under the bed! I found a receipt from the 26th?! Are you kidding me?! When checking out the girl at the front desk asked how our stay was... I told her.. Oh... So will that be charged on your credit card?! Wow!!!
