    Not just for kid parties
    Simon W.

Nice place for a kid party. Visited Celebrations in the Kitchen for a kid party where the kids got to make cookies. Each kid got to go home with a box full of cookies which was a bit of a surprise. Usually at these parties, the kids go home with one maybe two cookies tops. The cookies were ok, could have used a bit more sugar in my opinion but hey, they were for the kids so,... they also had fresh made pizza for the everyone that was ok for what it was, for a kid party. The room we were put in was kinda small for our group but it was a Sunday during football season and they did have the Jets game on out in the front of the store where there was a TV so some of us guys were outside watching the game. Parking was easy breezy, so overall not a bad spot to have a party on a Sunday afternoon.

    Our daughters cake

We reserved a cookie party for our 11 Year old daughter and it was fun! Easy parking, clean party room, great concept for kids to enjoy in a safe/private environment. Cookies were delicious!!! Party package included a cake and pizza for all the kids; We ordered an extra pie for the adults ;-) Due to Covid restrictions they're only serving water as drink option but that's understandable. We had a great experience and recommend it.

We just had my 7 year old son's birthday party here! He chose the "pizza party". It was make your own pizza (which the kids eat for lunch) AND make & decorate your own cookie pizza! The party includes 15 children total, we only had 12, but they set up for the full 15 and made the extra pizzas for us so that the kids could eat more if they wanted. They were little personal pizzas. The kitchen is huge and laid out in a way that allows every child to have their own little space all while still able to see each other. The kids washed their hands and were given their own aprons. They had my son front and center at the table where he and the owner Mike instructed everyone on how to spread their dough and put the sauce & cheese. Then their pizzas were baked and they got the cookie dough for their cookie pizzas which they decorated with sprinkles, chocolate chips, candies, etc and they were also baked. Then they got their pizzas fresh out of the oven and ate them in the party room. They ate their pizzas and then their cookie pizzas came out in an adorable little pizza box for them to bring home. I had also purchased wraps and salad for the adults to eat. We chose chicken caesar wraps and turkey & cheese wraps along with cold italian pasta salad. Everything is made fresh there and it was delicious. They have many other options for adults as well. During the party time, the adults were also served coffee & tea at the cafe at the front of the shop which was included in our package. We had found adorable paper chef hats online and wrote the kids names on them and they decorated them with markers and wore them throughout the party. All of the kids had an amazing time, everyone was friendly and constantly checked on us throughout the party to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. Some things of note that I feel are very important that haven't been mentioned are that when you select your party date & time, your reservation is held for 72 hours and you have to go leave a deposit which can ONLY be done by cash or check. When you pay the remaining balance of your party after your party is over, you must pay the entire remaining balance in CASH only! Which is fine, I just didn't know any of this until I booked the party and being a couple of days after Christmas I was kind of broke and hoping to pay for the party on my trusty credit card like I usually do. The good thing was that the night before, they emailed me a detailed receipt along with an estimated remaining balance so I knew how much cash to bring along. The total included the party, the coffee & tea the extra food we purchased for the adults and it included the cake and gratuities as well. I thought it was awesome that the cake was included! You get to pick your flavors, filling and frosting. Literally from beginning to end, everything is taken care of. It truly is an all inclusive party, you would only need to include an extra favor if you want to. At the end of the party everyone commented that it was the best party ever and on our way out, the owners gave my son a gorgeous handmade decorated gingerbread house and his face lit up! It made his day! I would definitely recommend Celebrations in the Kitchen and with all of their different party options, I'm sure we will come back here for future parties!

It's wildly overpriced, service was none but they charged 18% service fee. 15 kids with few extra pizza can cost you $1000.

The displays were filled with a nice variety of butter cookies, cakes, doughnuts and other classic pastries. Everything "looked" good, but the taste was just average. I would have pushed it to a 3 star review, but the young man behind the counter wasn't very friendly. The store was as empty when we went in so it wasn't like he was busy trying to take orders quickly. We told the young man that we would be ordering a variety of butter cookies and he looked at us annoyed and continued to serve us with a similar attitude. I guess maybe this is the expected service from the generation nowadays? I just expected more from a place that appeared so charming. The rainbow cookies seem to have anise in it, which is a bit odd for a rainbow cookies, and the chocolate coating was not very cocoa forward. It was also lacking jam. We were also really excited about the chocolate sandwiched butter cookies, but while the cookie itself was fresh, the ganache was missing the rich chocolatey flavor. Instead, it almost tasted like carob or some sort of diluted chocolate instead. The cookies itself were also not buttery enough, though they did taste freshly baked. All in all, Francesco isn't something to write home about and it's not a place I'd visit again.

She shared information with me that Sandy is the person she works for and rents out the space for this Cupcake counter. The cupcakes are baked with the same ingredients that are used for the other baked goods at Franchescos Bakery. They do serve coffees and have a variety of cupcakes along with packs for 4. I got two beignets today, a whipcream and strawberry and a custard one. I ate into the one and found while there is a fresh strawberry on top the inside is gloppy with more like jelly strawberries inside. The whip cream is hard and not fluffy. Have not tried the other one yet. Perhaps other types will be better. Something else to note , the windows need shades or blinds. When the sun comes in everything in there gets hot . The credit card machine ( at 4% ) paper cost is very hard to see in the bright morning light. An update today, got my complementary cup cake today from many sport themed choices. I chose the baseball. I noticed and noted cupcakes in the bakery window. Jamie noted that theirs are medium-size not with filling and they a select amount of character cupcakes as well. Color me not impressed at all…read more I was in Hot Breads in Hicksville in mid-July to pick up two birthday cakes for my nephew's birthday party. In addition to being a bakery, Hot Breads also markets itself as an indo-Chinese cafe. Knowing we would be several hours early to a birthday party, we had some of the menu offerings. Samosa and samosa chaat were great, but then again it's kind of hard to mess those up. Everything else we ordered was entirely inedible due to the obscene amount of chili that went into the meal. My dining buddies seemed unbothered by the chili so it's good that not a lot of the food went to waste, but some notice of spice (or option to not have the spice) would have been nice. On to the cakes, we ordered two sugar-free cakes due to my brother in law being diabetic. The cakes were light and fluffy and sweet, and I had no idea they were actually sugar free. These cakes get Hot Bread an extra star. The cakes were personalized. I would assume (and, spoiler alert, I'm clearly wrong) that an Indian bakery owner and operated by Indian people would be able to spell an Indian name correctly.
