    Meatball Sub
    Paul Francis M.

Out putting around and needed to feed a hungry stomach. The place caught my eye as I was at the stop light. I knew of this from people talking about it at work but never in this area so was always out of mind. Nonetheless I decided to find a parking spot and make my way in. Place was busy. Not so much at the tables but the girls were running around taking phone orders and preparing lunches. Looking at the menu I decided to go with a 14" meatball with peppers and onions. It was a damn good sub and very filling. Would be willing to bet everything else is equally good too. Definitely a place to grab lunch if in the area!

Meh. Touted as a local's gem. Its fine but not earth shattering. Good spot for no frills sandwiches. Since 1979 and still looks it on the inside...which is fine and charming. Reminds me of childhood. Anyway, chicken salad was fine.. def needed S&P. Fast, efficient. Glad they survived the pandemic.

Best lunch stop in West Springfield. The soups are all homemade and sandwiches are so good. This is by far the place you want to go if you are in a hurry but need real food.

This is one of my favorite deli's EVER. The food quality is excellent. The help is fast and with one notable exception always friendly. The soup Nazi comparisons are apt, but honestly, only if you make a point of complaining. (He's always been nice to me, but I make a point to be prepared for my transaction, and say please and thank you.) The veggie sub is without a doubt the BEST veggie sub I have ever had in my life. Mushrooms, peppers, pickles, cukes, lettuce, tomato, everything.... The chocolate chip cookies are second only to my girlfriends cookies. (This is saying a lot, honestly.) While I have never had meat there, the omnivores I know that have eaten her corroborate the other reviews here. Next time I am going to have to try the egg salad... They do a lot of take out, and you can call ahead. Oh. CASH ONLY. keep that in mind before you go to pay (There are signs up all over, and an ATM in the corner.) And they are only open Monday through Friday until 5.

The carefully curated menu has all the classic breakfast and lunch staples - omelets, eggs, pancakes, etc, and for later in the day, soups, salad, sandwiches, pork chops, NY steak and even fried chicken! I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs over easy, and the bacon on the side, and everything arrived perfect and hot. Tender, crunchy, gooey deliciousness with the sandwich and bacon! The home fries were also tender on the inside with a delicate crust. Add salt if needed for that. I really liked how clean everything was here, and it was apparent that the owners take good care of their customers and establishment. Kudos! I'll definitely look to come back here next time I'm near!

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....

Upon arrival, we first noticed that it was a very clean and well organized store. Plenty of places to sit and a buzzing vibe with all sort of activities (phone ringing, orders being taken, orders going out, kitchen activity and lots of customers eating in) We arrived about 1pm so it was part of the lunch time rush. We ordered a cucumber salad, chicken panini with onions (I didnt realize that caramelized onions was an option!), The Green Goddess was delicious....with fresh veggies (spinach, mozzarella, ricotta and spinich with avocado and pesto) and incredible taste! Little Havana was our last choice and that included roasted pork, shaved ham, swiss cheese, pickles and dijon mustard. Again a big hit...delicious and some to take for later! We sat down and one of the tables and enjoyed our lunch and the incredible lunch crowd! Lots of drinks to choose from, as well. I am so glad that we made it here. I am a fan, for sure! 5 stars Parking- easy Vibe- just that good food feeling Price- fair...going rate Will I be back? Of course, next time I go to Saratoga or am out in the Western part of Mass! My comment: when you come across these types of places, it is a great feeling...the quality, the service, the choices, price and good people! Fantastic!

Some restaurants serve food. Others tell a story…read more At bNapoli Italian, Chef Momo Camara does both. I've been a fan of Chef Momo since his days at Harbor View Hotel on Martha's Vineyard, where his talent was already impossible to ignore. Yes, he's the chef who cooked for President Obama twice, but what impresses me most isn't the celebrity connection. It's his commitment to seasonality, sustainability, and the people behind the food. Chef Momo doesn't just buy ingredients--he builds relationships. He visits local farms, works directly with producers, and supports local businesses throughout Western Massachusetts. That philosophy is the heart and soul of bNapoli. This time, my favorite dish was the Hamachi Crudo. Thin slices of yellowtail, cured with salt, sugar, and citrus zest, floated in an orange acqua pazza so vibrant it tasted like sunshine meeting the sea. Clean, delicate, and beautifully balanced. The squid tonnarelli was equally memorable. Tender squid folded into house-made pasta with a lemon tomato sugo simmered for three hours, enriched with lobster stock, Calabrian chilies, crab, and shrimp. Rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. My daughter's favorite showcased Chef Momo's creativity at its finest. Using a pâte à choux-based dough, he achieved a texture that seemed to defy gravity--ethereally light, impossibly pillowy, and delicate enough to disappear on the tongue. Paired with sweet roasted corn, asparagus, lemon crema, and crispy basil, the dish tasted like summer distilled into a single plate. As an Asian female chef, I couldn't help but reflect on how underrepresented chefs of color remain in fine dining. Some of the most talented chefs I've met throughout my career deserve greater recognition, and Chef Momo is certainly one of them. His food speaks for itself--thoughtful, elegant, technically precise, and deeply rooted in community. If representation matters to you, if supporting local farms matters to you, if celebrating extraordinary culinary talent matters to you, don't just talk about it. Show up. Make a reservation. Support Chef Momo. Western Massachusetts is lucky to have him.

It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

Our waitress Monica was beyond welcoming and knowledgeable. She made us feel at home. The low dinning table with low seated sofas made us feel very cozy. It's not very often you can cuddle up and enjoy a meal as if you were at home. The Eastern European food and ambience is as authentic as it gets. All I can say is... I'll be back
