I've lived in Sherman most of my life, but for some reason never came here until now. We came to celebrate my wife's birthday and we had a blast. We ordered several drinks and shots. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent as well. I shared a dozen oysters and then ordered the fish and chips. My brother inlaw had nachos. I can't remember the details of the nachos but I remembered he liked it. My wife got the loaded potato and boy was it loaded! Will go back for sure. read more

*** Dangerous Place*** Service was good. Food was good. The DANGER lies in the patrons. Visited tonight. Patio wasn't busy. A table of young guys DELIBERATELY set FIRE to something. Overheard another table complain to 2 servers. Saw one server say something to them. The idiots were allowed to stay. Someone should have called the Fire Marshall! Setting something on fire endangers both the idiots and everyone else in the place. Yet they were allowed to stay! Yes they put the fire out after it had been blown uncontrollably by the wind. But, it could have been som much worse! That's how fires kill people! To allow that table to stay shows that Cellarmans does not take the safety of their customers seriously. read more

My husband and I went out with a couple of friends on a Thursday night after staying home for four months because of Covid-19. We were sitting at the end of the bar and had just received our drinks when a middle-aged biker woman came up to the bar next to our friend on the far right side of her even though we were still under pandemic protocol to skip tables and keep our distance. The woman was still served next to our friend with no issue to us, however this woman had expressed that my friend was too close. Again, no skin off our back considering this was an easy fix- just moving the chairs down to the left as much as possible. Still, the woman was not happy because as soon as she received her drink, she took her whole forearm and threw her entire Bloody Mary on my friend and all of us in the crossfire. We were ALL immediately asked to leave even though we did nothing to cause this confrontation or even escalate it. My husband paid our tab even though we didn't even get to drink our drinks we had ordered because that's just the kind of person he is. We walked out drenched in Bloody Mary while this middle aged biker woman had no repercussions to her actions. The fact that we are peaceful, non-confrontational people who choose friends who are also peaceful and non-confrontational and the bartenders asked us all to leave was a complete slap in the face. We have been visiting this bar for years and even gave them our business during the pandemic when Cellarman's offered the drive-thru option. I have also emailed this place of business and have not received a reply. I won't hold my breath. We knew the person waiting on us and she still asked us to leave even though someone behind that counter had to have seen what happened considering we had overheard several times amongst the staff that they are not to allow people standing/walking about the bar due to limited capacity at this restaurant. We even encouraged them to enforce the rules in the whole 10-15 minutes we were there. This bar does not deserve our business any longer. We have been loyal customers and have never once caused any trouble out anywhere and especially Cellarman's Pub. Completely disappointed in the way this was handled. Refuse service to belligerent people looking for fights when they come in!!!! read more

Went with a group from my company. The beer list was quite a selection of offerings from around the globe & many very hard to find. The appetizers were good but your typical (Deep south) American fare: potato skins, fried dill pickles, fried green beans, etc. Brick oven pizza was also good. We ordered several different kinds to share. We sat outside on the deck. It was a tad hot to be sitting there in early July. Heard the inside used to be smoking, but it no longer is. I would eat there again if I wanted great beer & good pizza next time I'm in Sherman. read more

I ate here a few times in the past and the food was excellent but the smell of old beer and cigarettes was overwhelming . Now they are a no smoking establishment and the smell is gone. The food is great and the staff is nice and take good care of your needs. Wish the screens were bigger for watching the games but hey you can't have it all. Overall a great place with good food and service. Plus the menu has an excellent variety to choose from . One of if not the best hamburgers in Sherman. The buns are soft but yet toasted and not covered in butter or oil . The meat is a thick piece covered in your choice of cheese. Vegetables are fresh and they don't use lettuce as a filler. Large portions at fair prices . They like most other restaurants now days are overcharging for a glass of tea. I think it's at 2.95 but It is all you can drink and not watered down . read more

Cellarmans is pretty good with a variety of choices. Pizza is solid and they have a great spud and great nachos too. They have a tendency to undercook all 3 of them though. I've gotten all of those with unmelted cheese and had to send back. When they get it right it is very good. read more

Being very generous with the two stars. But wanted to be completely fair as I have been to Cellerman's many times in the past with good service. Last night, I went in with a date for a few drinks and appetizers. We got all of that and the worst service I have ever had at Cellerman's. The waitress consistently ignored our table. We got our cheese/spinach appetizer and the waitress didn't even bring us silverware or napkins. By this time we had already had a couple of rounds of drinks so there was plenty of time to bring napkins and silverware. We got her attention and asked for napkins... she went on to help four other tables (ten minutes) later she finally saw me flagging her down and brought me napkins. She has no business working as a waitstaff when she can't even handle the basics. read more

Cellarmans food was on point. Went with two coworkers and each had a personal pizza . First, the personal pizza is enough for two people to share easy. I had the cheesesteak pizza and it was delicious. Beers and cocktails were good. They offer a Bloody Mary even during happy hour which was a nice change (I am a weirdo and like them even after brunch) also had the cookie desert with ice cream on top and it is definitely worth getting less food to leave room for that! read more

This is the best restaurant we have found since moving to the area two years ago. We weren't quite sure what to do when we first walked in the door, but a server caught our eye and said to be seated anywhere and she would be with us asap. It was cold and rainy outside but this place had a warm and welcome vibe. Our server came shortly as promised, took our orders, and quickly delivered an excellent frozen margarita and green bean fries, which were freshly and perfectly fried. I had the Baja soft tacos with cod, and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Although neither were the best we've ever had, they at least were second best! Everything was fresh and well prepared, and we chowed down happily. Frankly, although we like quiet dining places, the restaurant is pleasantly noisy and has an atmosphere of camaraderie that we found very attractive, and we plan to return soon and take our adult kids for the flight of beers and more good food. read more

This place has a pretty lively "nightlife". Helpful servers. A better beer selection than most places in Sherman. A bit more pricey than others though. This was once my favorite place to eat and have a few drinks. Not Anymore, wondering when the owner/management of Cellarman's became so cheap. Monday night I had drinks and the Shrimp and Chips dinner. Emily the waitress was very good, and my two star rating of this place has nothing to do with the service. When I got the bill $49.73 I noticed there was a charge of 0.98 for 2 cocktail sauce, and another 0.49 for tarter sauce. I questioned this with the waitress because I though it was part of the dinner. She explained that the management now charges for this. What Next, charging for ketchup on the fries. I paid the bill and left. I noticed on their on line menu that the Shrimp and chips $13.49 served with our smoked chili pepper cocktail sauce. DUH guess they became so cheap that they won't change the menu and note that they don't serve the cocktail sauce without a charge. So a friend and I spent close to $100.00 for our dinners and drinks, and then get nickel and dime for the condiments. I think we will find another place! read more

They make their own beer right in the back of the pub, on top of that they use a stone oven for their pizzas which are amazing. They never have potatoes for their big spud so don't waste your time ordering that. They have oysters that are pretty darn good as well. The deep dish cookie is great as well though you can't ask for one to go because of the way it's made. The waitresses are all nice and the bartenders know how to make a strong tonic. So ive been her several time since I moved up here last year and have loved the service and food, I have worked in service industry for 10 years, so I went out for the college Championship game and sat at the bar for the first time ordered a house made beer and an appetizer, no problems there finish my beer and then order a Manhattan he makes it and brings it to me, it has a lemon peel in it which is does not come with a Manhattan but whatever I try it, it's not bad but not a Manhattan so I bring this up to the bartender he doesnt even talk to me walks away grabs a menu flips it open and just points to the description of their Manhattan which doesnt have bitter and has Cahraka in it again not a Manhattan so I ask for another without the lemon, the bartender, Josh, then ask if I would like bitters in it now and rolled his eyes at me brings my new drink still with Cahraka in it, again not how a Manhattan is made I drink that switch back to beer because he is incompetent then he disappears for over half an hour while I'm trying to pay out. So I flag down several waitresses asking for my check they all walk off and never come back after another 20 minutes I just walked out. This was the first time to visit this awesome restaurant! Our daughter attends Austin College so we decided to give it a try. We sat at the smaller seperate bar area and Elizabeth was AWESOME! She made an amazing Mexican martini and the food was delicious! After dinner we even got a pizza to go..Hawaain pizza...HIGHLY recommend! We will be back! read more

Get the Pizza! I think it's the best item on the menu, and possibly some of the best brick oven I've had. They advertise the oysters, but make sure to ask your server how fresh they are. My husband tried them when they were not same-day-fresh, and said they did a good job dressing them up, but they just weren't good. It's a really cool atmosphere with a variety of beer to try. It's always crowded on the weekends and is a popular local hang out. There is a fair share of 20-40 year olds. It's family friendly up until about 9 pm. They do have outdoor seating, and wind shields around the patio to protect from the elements. The staff is incredibly friendly and fun! We always have a good time! Be careful in the parking lot. The spaces are lined up at kind of an angle, and the big trucks are hard to park. The crooked parking combined with the crowded area mean it could be really easy to get into a fender-bender, so check your mirrors and blind spots when you come and go. read more

Cellarman's is by far the best sports bar in Sherman. They have an impressive beer selection and good food. The weekly beer specials are very nice, you can usually get nice and loaded on a weeknight without emptying your wallet. The HD tv's throughout are perfect if there is a game on, I usually like to go there to watch the Cowboys or Maverick's play. On top of that they also have free wifi so you can have a beer and check your e-mail... ain't that grand. read more
