We only had a week to organize my fathers birthday party and I'm happy someone suggested Cena 081. I've driven passed this place 1000 times and had no idea it was such a gem. We booked the private party room upstairs which has indoor and outdoor area. The room also has it's own bar and bathrooms. The passed appetizers were a big hit followed by drinks then a buffet. Even though the restaraunt downstairs was packed with people, the upstairs space remained truly private. The price for top shelf open bar, food , and staff was VERY reasonable. I would suggest having your party anywhere else but here. It seems the maître d' and manager just stop being nice once you book the place. Francesco will tell you one thing, and jack another. Not only was Jack rude to me, but my guests as well. I even saw him eating the candy from my candy table. He just roams around while the party is going on, which was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. We agreed on a half open bar, that consists of only beer, wine, and soda. I did say to open a tab if anyone wanted to order something other than those options, but none of my guests were aware of that because the servers just asked what they wanted to drink or if they wanted a shot (needless to say the bar tab was ridiculous thanks to them). My mother was UNAWARE of this, as a family member offered to pay for it and we didn't want her stressing out over the total. So for Jack to say she agreed to it, is him lying to not only us but those reading this as well. It's very obvious this place doesn't care about you or your party, just their money. I asked one of the servers to put my cupcakes in the fridge until it was time for dessert, I ended up leaving with all of them because he never brought them back out:) looks like they really needed that automatic 20% gratuity. Overall very grimy because they know what they are doing, and clearly don't care. Oh, we also called to say how they didn't honor the half open bar we agreed upon MULTIPLE TIMES (even the day before) and jack said "an open bar was in the contract" yet no receipt was ever given to us. If it isn't obvious, I don't recommend this place. I hope the owner Joe sees this and realizes the people he has working for him, are the reason his business will fail. read more

We just had our daughter's baptism party here. Orlando Help me set up the party. He was a breeze to work with. We had two servers, Jen and Fernando. They were amazing and catered to all of our needs including a guest that wasn't feeling well that day. The food was delicious and everyone raved about the salmon. Because our party wasn't that large we even got to take most of the food home which was awesome. I definitely recommend this place. We came here tonight for Restaurant Week. It was our first visit and we were very happy with both the food and the service. Armando welcomed us warmly as we entered. Our two servers, Carlos and Joshue, were very friendly and attentive to all our requests and questions. The prix fixe menu special for Restaurant Week included 3 courses. We shared 2 appetizers: parmigiana di melanzana (eggplant parm) and gamberoni piccante ( shrimp with spinach in a delicious red sauce) and they were both very tasty. Our entrees were pollo portobello (chicken in a delicious cream sauce) and slow cooked salmon with white beans, substituting spinach for escarole. My husband enjoyed the chicken and I thought the salmon was outstanding served in a delicious broth. It was such a big portion that I took half home for lunch tomorrow. Carlos treated us to an after-dinner drink, which was very generous and thoughtful. We will definitely return to Cena 081! read more

stopped in with another couple on Friday night for happy hour. walked up to the beautiful outdoor bar and a guy in a fedora is f-bombing very loud at the bar. i figure OK , there is always a guy like that and maybe it was just a one time story he was telling , however , he kept on f-bombing away and loudly. then i see the bartender come over and high five him? OK , walked over to another area and proceeded to have a few drinks . now a guy comes and sits with my group and introduces himself and proceeds to spend the next 45 mins telling us his story? tells us he is a regular at the bar and lives within walking distance. OK , a little chit chat is fine but we are not here to hang out with a complete stranger ? place is pretty ( especially the outdoor area) and the little bit of food we had was fine , but the two guys overstepping turned me off . read more

Waited a long time for my food, not served properly, and the dishes are not worth the price. I love octopus, but when I ordered it there, I couldn't believe what I got . This is my new favorite restaurant. They truly take care of their customers here. The food was really spectacular and authentic. The atmosphere was perfect. When we arrived, we found there'd been a miscommunication about our reservation time, but they carried in a whole new table for 2 just for us, and gave us an appetizer and drinks on the house for the mixup. The service was excellent. They really made us feel special on our anniversary here. And considering how delicious our food was, the prices were perfectly reasonable, as were the portion sizes. I was at a birthday party here. The food was ok. The penne alla vodka was delicious. Beef sliders were sh*t. But the water that they poured us tasted normal, but had a chlorine aftertaste. I had just thought they used bleach to clean it and didn't think much of it. After an hour, the water tasted and smelt as if they had poured bleach in it. I had to get seltzer just to not risk anything. Horrible, horrible water. Service was outstanding though. Don't drink the water, it's for your own good. read more

I had a 8:00 reservation on 7/14 and was there promptly at 8. Entering the restaurant I was looking for a host/hostess to check in but could not find anyone. I asked the bartender and there was no real response. About 5 minutes later a gentleman came over and said we would have a table in a few minutes. This was fine. We were seated and then waited about 20 minutes for a menu and then we were served water and then no one came back. Now it is 8:45 and we decided to see if we could get a reservation at Galleria restaurant which is only a minute away on the same street. They said to come on over. We got up and left and the funny thing is that no one even noticed or cared. I had heard that the food was good here and this was my first and last visit to this establishment. read more

Went there Tuesday July 3, 2018 We had tried this restaurant about one month ago .Ate outside. the food was very good, service also was good. Decided to try it again on Tuesday... YIKES !!!! What a disaster. We arrived at 6:15 and sat at the bar for a drink before dinner., Sat there for 10 minutes, no bartender.........Finally the bartender came back to the bar and got our drinks. I realized then that the bartender was also the host/hostess and waiter for the entire restaurant which had a full bar and a dining room that was more than half full. There were two busboys serving and cleaning. Service was painfully slow. I asked to speak with the manager and Talia, the bartender told me the manager was off that night. So.....to sum up our experience. No host/hostess, no waiters, no manager...We may or may not be back . For a fairly new establishment they certainly don't pay very much attention to details. Food was average, portions average, service poor. Received the wrong order and waiter tried to push it off as the right dish, but clearly the ingredients were incorrect. Then they forgot to take the meal off the bill because we didn't want it and shared an entree. When they finally did take it off they added $10 to the bar menu. Unbelievable. CENA 081 really took care of us at Westbury High School's Class of 2008 10 Year Reunion Alumni Happy Hour on Friday June 20, 2018!! Almost 60 people enjoyed a 3 hour open bar and 5 tasty appetizers for two hours. The vibe and atmosphere was so lit, no one wanted to leave after the event ended at 9pm, so we stayed on until midnight! Though it was incredibly warm that evening in the outside/backyard space, our reunion happy hour was a huge hit at CENA 081. Armando, the manager, was professional, flexible, and made sure our event was very smooth. You can tell he really cares about his customers and the experience the moment you step into the space. Our main server, Josue was awesome, charismatic, attentive and took care of us the whole night. Thank you for allowing us to bring our own DJ and decorate. We were happy to be the first class to hold a reunion in the space after the renovations and grand opening. read more
