Both really tasty We order a couple of dishes - one was the grilled platter called mazatlan ..it included baby back ribs - tender and really tasty, 2 bacon wrapped shrimp, also delicious. The platter included beef and chicken - to me the chicken didn't have much flavor All served w rice beans pico salad guacamole etc and for the money was a great buy!! I've come in a few times. The food is decent, but not consistent. Consider yourself lucky if you get a server that even speaks English. My daughter's kids meal was delivered to the wrong table. When they realized it, they took it from the table it was delivered to instead of making her a fresh plate and on several occasions I've been brought raw shrimp. I've only come back because they won't refund my money, only give credit. To add insult to injury, the prices online don't match what they charge you. A Cancun platter for one is advertised for $18.94, but I was charged $22.90. The fajits for one is advertised for $14.00 and I was charged $18 and some change. I've brought it up, and clearly they don't care because it hasn't been fixed and when I brought it up at the time of placing my order, I was told too bad the advertised prices were wrong. They continue to over charge people for half- cooked food and the manger lacks professionalism, but got a double helping of arrogance. read more

I am sorry to say this business was very misleading my husband and I thought we were going to the new Aguirre location based on the one on Texas 6 in Houston. Aguirre had good service and the fajitas were amazing now when we went to the new location on 15650 fm 529 my husband and I observed a employee standing along side the free ice cream cone machine digging in her nose and constantly putting things from her nose and putting it on her apron mine you it wasn't busy we always try to go anywhere before it gets busy, finally the order comes out we left the nasty server comes running out to the parking lot saying you forgot your flour tortillas I turned around and told her no I don't want those your very nasty and should be fired. read more

We were a big fan of Aguirre's until their popularity has led to a decline in consistency. When the food is prepared correctly it's awesome and when they are busy attention to detail is out the window. The fajitas were very dry and lacked any flavor other than a slight burnt taste. The street tacos were greasy due to the onions . The salsas we had - green and red were excellent. The service is sporadic when they are busy. The seating is very cramped making it difficult on the servers to operate efficiently. You roll the dice when you dine here but if you come early for dinner or late for lunch the place runs smoother. read more

I love this place, the food, the staff, but its too hot to have a broken air conditioner. They are planning to move into a better building, but so far don't know exactly when. Decent food and drinks. They have a new outdoor patio, most likely because the place always gets packed and they needed the space. Unfortunately they boxed the patio in and you can't see anything but the sky. They have daily specials so check their menu. I loved the old place. The new location has all the same great food and drinks but with some new flair.

Came here 5 times even brought countless friends here. Food is good, not superb but good. With that said, I will NOT be going back here. Came with another friend and my 7 month PREGNANT wife and we are waiting to be seated and no one bothered to seat us. Place had only 8 people max and SO many servers/waitresses and everyone overlooked us. No one bothered to show some compassion or professionalism even looking that someone is fatigued from standing since they are PREGNANT. My wifes feet were hurting and she was dying to sit down so we ended up leaving. So rude how many people were there on the clock, looking straight at us and yet no one bothered to even attend to us. Wanted to make this place my go to spot and for a short time it was. But THIS RIGHT HERE IS UNACCEPTABLE especially when a PREGNANT women is right there. Will not make this my go to and most likely we will NOT be back here. As for us we ended up going to Herraduras Mexican grill and it was bomb. Margs were on point lol read more

Not bad! We stopped by here because of the good reviews. There were few cars in the parking lot which was concerning at first. The restaurant is very small, clean and has 2 TVs. We ordered the house margarita and a grand margarita. The house margarita was only $6 but the grande was $16, kinda steep! We also ordered a chicken burrito and combination plate with nachos, flauta and chicken enchilada. Waitress was nice. Overall it was good! read more

I think it gets a lot of 5 star reviews because it's in the suburbs and, well, not a lot of competition and possibly not a lot of locals eating outside of the burbs, but - it's good enough and likely one of the better in the area. They are, however, very disorganized. Service is spotty and the to go station rarely gets it right. All these things seem more like being understaffed than a full management issue. It feels like they can't quite get caught up to the pace of the place. read more

A few years ago, this quickly became my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. It was close to the house, the place was usually bustleing with customers (indicating quality/popularity), the food was fresh/well prepared/delicious, and the young waitresses were attentive, cute and very congenial. I ate there regularly about once a month. It was small, but always warm, inviting and thoroughly enjoyable. But something changed a couple of years ago. I moved to a more distant part of town, so I visited only when work took me to their general area. I visited about six months ago, and the place was curiously empty - only a half dozen customers. The food was so-so, but still edible, but the perky waitresses were gone. The feel of the place was far less engaging than in prior visits. I went back today, and found the place to be utterly depressing. There were only two other tables occupied, and the atmosphere was like . . . "Well, okay. We'll serve you, but the food is miserable, the ambiance stinks, and we can't change any of that. Just suck it up" Please don't misunderstand, my waitress was very pleasant and helpful, but in a way that indicated she knew I would not be happy . . . it was a sixth sense sort of feeling, which proved to be totally accurate. I sat at a table with a direct view of the kitchen. The first thing I noticed was a teenage male in a hoodie, working in the food prep area. That clinched it for me. This is not the Aguirre's I experienced previously. I will never return. read more

Stopped for dinner and we had their Thursday fajita combo special. We were seated quickly and our chips and two types of salsa instantly arrived along with our server ready to take our drink order. Shortly our drinks arrived and we placed our order for the fajitas. We had only eaten a few chips before our server arrived with the fajitas, 3 floor tortillas (a piece), charro Beans, rice, and more than enough fixings. There was more than enough of everything...and it was goooooood. Our server was very attentive and kept checking on us. I should note this place was busy and they had plenty of servers and others bussing tables and checking on their quests. We were very pleased with the service, prices (very reasonable), and especially the food. We recommend this place and will be back again and again. Note: this is loud (maybe because it was crowded) and it is very difficult to carry on a conversation but not worry as there is plenty of food to carry you through those moments when you can't hear your partner. read more

Aguirre's offers delicious Tex-Mex. This place gives off a cozy vibe. Although small inside, there are plenty of tables. No wait on an early afternoon. The waitress was friendly and gave good recommendations. Chips and dips were complimentary with refills. Crunchy and still hot. The guacamole dip was okay but the salsa went great with the chips. The Plato Cancun seems to be one of their most popular dish as it was featured on a card stand. It came in a steaming hot plate with beef, chicken, and shrimp wrapped with bacons. All the meats were seasoned just right. The shrimps were my favorite with the bacon was cooked perfectly. Tortillas, veggies, rice, and your choice of beans were also given. I really like the rice. The flavor was simple but that was what made it good. On the other hand, I wasn't a fan of the enchiladas. I can't recalled the name of the enchiladas but it had two different enchiladas. One was mostly cheese inside while the other one had meat. For some reason, I didn't like it that much probably because of the amount of cheese that was overwhelming the enchiladas.
