I feel a change in the store's only doctor should do this. I put this on corporate more than the store. The check in was easy as I had updated my vision insurance before my wife and my appointments. I learned that longtime employee Sharon had worked with Dr. Mayburry for 18 years and continues to run the office. She is very friendly and helps check you in, take pictures of the eyes and prep for the rest of the appointment. Kudos Sharon. Dr. Vu is outgoing and really wants patients to feel comfortable. He also went over the eye scans that were done (optional charge of $44 but so much easier than dilating eyes). After the appointment they have you sit with another employee who helps with frames and lenses (contact lenses are prescribed by Dr. Vu) I'm not a fan of their selection but MyEyeDr. does carry many brands including sunglasses. Dave the technician was nice to clean and tighten my current glasses so they fit well. I like that the office offers Saturday appointments. They have a lot of parking shared by other shops just to the right of store. MyEyeDr. takes a variety of insurance and appointment cost is based on co-pay and if you buy other items like glasses. I'm excited to continue my care with MyEyeDr. Cornerstar.

No dilation, no eye pressure test & none of the standard questions ODs use to assess serious issues. He seemed more interested in telling my husband and i all about his Colorado road trips. Then, Dr H retrieved a copy of my prescription from another room, came back and said "everything looks great!" No details. I am 53 and i feel like my vision has declined in the past 3 years. So, i asked Dr. H if he could use my glasses to compare how much my vision had changed. "Of course!" He took my glasses & disappeared, returned momentarily & announced, "it hasn't changed much at all!" Again, he provided no data & no details, which seemed odd. The entire exam took 10 minutes, max. On the way home, i had forgotten to ask for a prescription for Bimatoprost . left a message with the receptionist. (i was surprised that i had to explain what it is!) As so many other reviews have said, the office staff is totally incompetent. The message the receptionist took was that i needed a prescription for Prazapam - a medication prescribed for insomnia & anxiety! When Dr H returned my call, he was also confused about what it was i needed but seemed more interested scolding - yes, SCOLDING - me, accusing me of YELLING at his staff on the phone. What i suspect is that this OD accused me of yelling to deflect from his own incompetence. Scolding a patient is a sure way to get them to go somewhere else as they are about to realize that this OD is nothing but a silly quack.
