I'm sure the doctors ok. However, the front desk staff should invest in some people skills and classes.

The entire front office staff, Dr Zapata and anesthesiologist Troy Porter who treated me were all first-rate.

Dr Stein and the medical staff were great. The admin and their system is where things seem to break…read moredown. They changed my first name to a letter. Literally. They claim they can't list me by my actual first name, because it's abbreviated on my insurance card. My insurance knows it's abbreviated and they have my full legal name. And even if their system is that complicated, there's no preferred name option? Really? So they will refer to me as a single letter instead of my actual name. I've never run into this problem before at a medical provider office and I've been to many using the same insurance card. Imagine being taken back to have a procedure done under anesthesia and the assistant you've never met tries to greet you but doesn't know what to call you because your name is missing on your paperwork, and it's just a letter. Imagine they try to call your driver back after you're done, and they don't know what to announce. Imagine you get texts after your procedure, referring to you as a single letter instead of your first name. That's exactly what happened, and I was really surprised. It's poor customer service. It creates confusion and discomfort when you're already in a vulnerable position. I work at a medical office and I can't imagine treating a patient like that. It's such a basic standard to call people by their name. I let the office know my concern and they said they can't do anything about it. I'll go elsewhere next time.

And got a call from a collection agency and they are trying to collect the amount. Call doctor office back and told them and they said they would have someone investigate it and get back to me. Looks like I might have to file a complaint with the AZ attorney general office that they are trying to extort money from me. My insurance company said that I do not own them anything. Stay away from them unless you want trouble.

Saved my husbands life. Sometimes calling someone a life saver is hyperbole but not in this…read moreinstance. Last September my husband was hospitalized with severe necrotizing pancreatitis which became infected. During over three months in hospital he came under the care of Dr Khosravi, his main physician, Dr. Nawaz, Dr. Sachdev and Dr. Hamad. My husband was much too ill to survive traditional surgery to clean out the necroma so Dr. Khosravi led the team through numerous lengthy and tedious procedures to remove the dead tissue endoscopically. After his discharge from hospital my husband had two more procedures as an out patient. It was great to see Dr. Khosravi's smile when he said what I had long been waiting to hear. He finished cleaning out the collection and removed the stent that allowed access. What is important for me to know as I consider going to a physician includes level of expertise and skill and how the patient and family is treated. Dr. Khosravi and his team have a level of expertise and skill that based on my research as well as personal experience is unmatched in this area. During my husbands last necrosectomy Dr. Khosravi was able to use a tool he requested the hospital obtain. He removed as much necrotic tissue in one session, than had taken him six or seven sessions without. Fewer procedures under anesthesia will only help speed the recovery of patients needing this care. To my knowledge, there are no other physicians able to use that equipment locally, if anywhere in Arizona. While his skill took care of the pancreas, Dr. Khosravi's and his associates care and compassion took care of my husband, and me. They showed this in so many ways. They listened, they responded to concerns, they explained and they always called me back, even when things happened in the middle of the night after my husband was able to come home. I always felt we were well cared for All of the staff at the endoscopy department were top notch and I have been no less impressed with the staff at the GIlbert office. Abigail, Dr. Khosravi's assistant is always aware of what is going on and gets back to me promptly when I leave messages for her. This morning I was having a little difficulty getting my husbands wheelchair through the front door and the receptionist saw it and came out to help me. To sum all of this up, I will always be grateful for the care my husband got and that he is still here with me.

However- the front desk lady Sue should be fired immediately, the way she talked to me on the phone multiple times was absolutely infuriating. I have been bed bound for weeks, 3 trips to the er multiple doctors visits and come to find out I have severe stomach ulcers, I have not been able to eat or sleep for weeks. I speak with Sue to request a doctor's note, and she talks to me like Im a child trying to play hookey!!! Words cannot explain how absolutely infuriating it is to be so sick and in so much pain and have someone talk to you like that! She was rude and condescending and no matter how much I tried to reason she was downright rude! Management should pull the calls and listen because it is disgusting, I've never been talked to like that before from medical staff, someone like that should go work far far away from people who need compassionate care!
