Job was to replace a very old central AC unit. They switched the unit purchased (which was also late ETA) at the last minute, because the new AC finally arrived damaged to their warehouse. They switched from a residential unit to a commercial unit saying the commercial unit, which they happened to have onsite, was as good or better. Was a long installation. They had to come back few times to fix issues, to replace a part so we did not have AC during the summer. The unit made very loud noise, louder than our much older unit. And we had specifically asked to have a unit with the lowest noise. The unit at the end of 7 years was KAPUT completely, last summer They said commercial units are only 2 years warranty Vs residential units. I had originally asked for residential, made the purchase for, and they did a switch at the last minute, not disclosing this difference (taking advantage of a customer is hwo I see this). They would not honor any support of a unit which should have lasted a lot longer in residential setting. They wanted to sell a new unit and offered no other solution. They have been very rude and dismissive. I do not find this acceptable after spending thousands of hard earned dollars. They completely dropped this customer like a hot potato to go find a new vendor to replace a 7 year old AC unit. Very dissatisfied. Bad customer service from my point of view. read more

I requested an annual inspection and maintenance of my two air conditioning systems that were installed by Central cooling and heating. Making an appointment for this service was very easy and I had many choices for the service to work with my schedule. Chris arrived on time. It was my first time meeting Chris. I was extremely pleased with Chris's manners and expertise. He was respectful to my property when he was doing the maintenance and tune-ups, putting everything back the way it was before he started and leaving no messes. He was very knowledgeable about air conditioners and worked efficiently. Chris was very easy to talk to. He answered all my questions. I love the people on the other line when I look to make an appointment. They are as accommodating as they can be, and seemingly try really hard to get you in even if they are crazy busy. And if they cannot do it, say like when it is 99 degrees and your AC has frozen up, they seem seriously bummed they can't have someone there today. Every tech that has come to the place has been honest and fair as someone else wrote. Good comment. I had Oscar this time (been using them for a while - always seem to remember all their names too, I wonder why that is?) He was using his little booties religiously which I appreciated. He then cleaned the outside condensers (for an additional charge) but they looked looked like they had just rolled out of the factory when finished. I asked him if he could do my windows. Central Cooling & Heating has always given me excellent service and emergency service when my heat would not go on in the winter. They have service available 24/7 especially in the winter so heating systems can be fixed and people won't freeze. John B. to help solve an issue with my new furnace not adequately cooling or heating the second floor. He identified the problem, pointed it out to me, and told me what needed to be done and at what price. He is very knowledgeable, efficient, extremely helpful and explained things so that I would understand. He solved the problem for me and I was very pleased with his polite manner, care in not tracking wet shoes through the house (it was raining heavily) and how efficient he was at making sure he cleaned up the areas he worked in. Thoy at Central Cooling & Heating has given us excellent service for years, on both our heating system and central air. He has always gone way above and beyond expectations to make sure everything is working right. On one particular visit Thoy disassembled, fixed, and cleaned the large a/c circulating fan unit in the attic, and the resulting cooled air output was phenomenal. He has great breadth and depth of knowledge and experience on both heating and A/C, and always takes the time to explain what he's doing. When our 40+ year-old heating system finally needed to be replaced, Thoy recommended the best system and setup for our needs. He's always been very friendly and courteous as well. We could not be happier with Central Cooling and Heating and its service technician John B.. After coming home from vacation we quickly discovered our air conditioner was not working. I left a message Monday evening and received a call first thing Tuesday morning, 7am, that a service tech would be at our house between 8:15-9:00. Within an hour the air conditioning was working, yeah! The gold plan maintenance contract (which I had been questioning if I should do) we have for our heating and a/c which includes priority service and also included the part (capacitor replacement) and labor, the repair was at no cost. on the week prior to our service i called for a price for a non contracted furnace. the person i spoke to stated an hourly rate of $150. an hour for the first hour and then $130. an hour for any time over the initial repair. serviceman arrived made the repairs which i am very happy with. problem is that the serviceman quoted me a price of $`150. per half hour had i been informed of this at the original contact i would have looked else where foe the repair. $150. for an hour is pretty steep,but $`150. for a half hour is ridicules it took at least that just to set up the equipment. now i have a contract on my main furnace and been with this company for a long time but who knows???????????????? jbd read more

They've only done tune-ups on my system, but the office personnel are pleasant, and the service personnel arrive as scheduled, are polite, and cover their shoes before entering. They do the work promptly. No complaints. Update: This winter they replaced my heating system. The sales rep helped me through the process by helping me apply for a heat loan, a zero interest loan with a rebate. I can't say enough about how pleasant, careful, neat, and honest this company is. I hired Central Cooling & Heating to fix some older, poorly installed minisplits in my house. They don't usually work on this brand, but were willing to attempt a fix (time and materials because of unknowns) and they 100% succeeded. I am thrilled! The technicians arrived on time, made several recommendations and managed to remove noisy condensate pumps and get gravity drains working. We have a heat pump system and although we wish we had a better system, we are stuck with this type of system because of the condo we live in. However, we have Central Cooling and Heating come out twice a year to have it serviced. Very happy of my recent services with Central Cooling. A few months ago I took advantage of my maintenance plan when my AC had an issue with water coming in the house. It turned out to be a blocked line and was fixed quickly and on a weekend night. Just had the AC tuned up and Rob did a great job. He cleaned everything thoroughly, including removing my condenser pump and cleaning out the guts. Im typically not a fan of service plans but when it comes to my HVAC I would much rather have piece of mind. read more

When an A/C coil of our 22 year old A/C system failed we had Central Cooing & Heating replace both our units with Heat Pumps. Two months later they're working perfectly, keeping out home much more comfortable than before, and saving us money every month. John visited to fix a minor issue which he corrected immediately.
