After spending $100 & fighting with the nail tec who: 1. cut my skin to where blood was dripping 2. redid the top coat 3 times because it kept drying so thick and uneven.. 3. Refused to let me chose the gel color i picked upon walking in (the first time was this gross self drying top coat- she finally decided to switch to gel) I can confidently say this is the worst set I've ever received. I wanted a NATURAL nude set. I'm going back tomorrow in between my birthday surprises to have them take the set off I never leave reviews but figured I'd save someone from this awful experience. read more

I have been in and out of Central Nail & Day Spa for many years now. They are located in the Stoneybrook West Shopping Plaza. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. They have a white noise machine that plays songbirds and running water in the pedicure area. The manicure area entertains you with the TV. Their technicians vary in skill so on some occasions the outcome is absolutely lovely and other times just mediocre. Their prices are comparable to their competitors and you will be best served making a reservation. The salon could use a renovation. It has been open for many years now and its starting to look tired. Traci is the owner and does a beautiful job. I recommend trying to book a reservation with her. On my last visit I was given a new girl who did not apply the dip all the way down to the cuticle. After letting her know that I like color from end to end she corrected it. The correction caused the original ombre finish to now have three colors fading into each other. The look was beautiful and I would love to have it recreated. They offer a reward card that is stamped with each visit. After ten visits you receive a discount. The discount is so puny that it is not worth the effort to maintain the card in my wallet. read more

I normally go for a Spa Pedicure. Once in a while I splurge on the Deluxe Pedi which adds the stone massage on your legs. I really like Tracy there.. she's worth asking for. Lately I've been getting owner and he's only OK. He gets distracted with people talking to him and the last time I went there I kind of felt like it ruined the relaxation I was trying to obtain from having someone pamper me. I do not recommend getting any eyebrow waxing as I did once (I was desperate) and they completely ruined my shape that I had been working on with my normal gal at the salon across the way. I would image they would be a great place to do a bikini wax as it's a bit less expensive as your normal salon and they are quick! I have had manicures done there and occassionally gel tips. They always do a great job at the basics and I feel very comfortable in their environment. It's clean, they have awesome massage chairs, loads of magazines to read and several flat screen TV's. The AT& T wifi signal sucks so playing on my Iphone is hit or miss so I tend to listen to my own music. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I'm in the service industry myself, so I always give people the benefit of the doubt and rarely leave bad reviews. This experience was so terrible. First, the tools are filthy and unsanitary, as is the entire salon. I won't be surprised at all if I get an infection, and will definitely contact a lawyer or the better business bureau if I have to spend money on medication. I can't believe this place is open. My cuticle was cut so badly that it is swollen. After it was dripping blood down the side of my finger, the woman doing my nails continued to try to trim that area! So painful! I asked her to stop more than THREE TIMES before she stopped. You aren't supposed to trim cuticles anyway, as it invites infection. To make it worse, the color I chose was on its last leg so we kept adding thinner to it (which was sitting out without a cap on). She smudged two nails before I asked her to just take off the polish and let me leave. She continued to paint them with a clear coat and asked me to pick another color. I had already said I wanted to leave. I told her clear coat is fine. She then chose a different coat that is an ugly pink. Whatever. I just wanted to leave. Another woman came over and asked if I wanted a third coat and I said no. THEY DID IT ANYWAY. Anything I asked they ignored. Unbelievable. Finally I left. They charged me full price anyway. I've been to nail salons countless times in a dozen cities and this is by far the worst. These practices are ILLEGAL and I will SUE if I get an infection, which I will be surprised if I don't get one. Attaching photos! read more

First time here.. was recommended from a friend to book Traci the owner so i asked for her. I usually bite my nails so wanted to break the bad habit and get them done as a distraction not to bite. When arrived, i asked them if they were comfortable enough doing rough hand biten nails and they reassured me it was perfectly fine. Once i got it down she had a face as if she was really annoyed of my situation which is why i asked before sitting. She said absolutely nothing to me, did not even tell me what she was doing next, what her plan was to help, etc etc. she just started and didnt say anything. Before we started, i did tell her it was my first time and she said "oh you dont like getting nails done?" And the only other thing she said to me during the whole process was to get up and wash hands in the beginning of the process and after she was almost done filing she said "OH you want square right??" Didnt even ask me. I dont know these things as i did warn her this is my first time.. end result: first timer...and im not comfortable with my nails. I dont think this looks right but she said it was the best she could do with my nails since it was very short. She didnt mention to me options or any insight... read more

Walkings are welcomed( that is what I usually do). Today 2 men got their manicure and pedicure. Reasonable price and after you get rewards for accumulating visit and $. Reasonable price. I get my gel options and relaxing. I also get the additional lotion for massage on feet. Very relaxing place. Been other places but always come here due to prices, discount and longer time on my feet. Great service read more

Found them to be difficult. They could not Explain the pricing to me and I felt Like they were trying to rip me off. What could have been an upgrade was quickly reduced To a downgrade and I will go somewhere else next Time. They had a surcharge sheet. read more

Once or twice, a young woman, who I believe is named Margorie, did a perfect job on my acrylic fills. The salon is clean and bright, the restroom spotless. The work stations and tools are sanitized. I have to do a shout out to Central today. After a horrible experience at my regular nail salon, I went over to Central to get a top coat fix and also to get a pedicure. After my experience at the other salon, I didn't even want to stick around for anymore service (lack of) from them. Central took me in right away, fixed my top coat without charging me and then gave me a fantastic pedicure. I definitely recommend them and will be back! Thanks Central:) read more

I have been going to this nail salon for years. But for the past three times I have been, Traci, the owner keeps upcharging me and coming up with prices off of the top of her head. Today, after I gave them yet another chance was the last straw. On their loyalty card, you get a stamp for every $20 you spend. Once you get four stamps, you get $5 off a service. My card had two stamps when I went in, and as I spent $50 I was given two additional stamps, for a total of four stamps and $5 off. Traci, however, told me that because one of my previous stamps had faded in my wallet, that I only had 3 stamps - not the four that I rightfully earned. I showed her clearly where the stamp was and it simply looked like the employee did not press down very hard. Traci said it was not a full stamp and she wouldn't accept it. After all the money I've spent here over the years, it's ridiculous to argue with a loyal customer over $5 off when I clearly had four stamps and whoever stamped my card last time simply did not press the stamp down hard enough. I recommend you find another nail salon with steady and fair prices and rules for loyalty cards. read more

The staff here is so incredibly friendly! I happened to mention that I was in a rush and I had my mani/pedi done at the same time and super quick! I liked that there were no TVs in the pedi area because it made it more relaxing. Both my mani/pedi were done so professionally. I have no complaints about this place. Beware! I contacted toenail mushroom fungus here. Owner Tracy failed to follow through and get medicine for it. She also put a bottle of nail polish she used on me back on the shelf contaminated. Total disregard for me as a customer who has gone there since they opened 7+ years ago. Went to my doctor and prescription not covered by insurance. Doc said would take at least three months of daily treatments and maybe more. VERY difficult up get rid of. Owner is irresponsible and poses a health hazard to her customers. read more

Oahn pronounced "One" does a beautiful job. She takes her time to ensure nails are done in a beautiful and healthier way. She didn't rush or over file to get gel polish off quickly. Instead she removed the polish in a nice way and ensured the nails were not damaged. While it costs a little more than what I am used to, the professional service from this nail tech and the attention to detail makes it worth it. My gel polish manicure came out great both times that she has worked on them! read more
