First time stopping in to Central Pizza in over 10 years. It was not what I expected to see because it use to be just an older pizza shop that had not been changed in years. Much to my surprise, I walked into a a beautiful, modern and very family orientated pizzeria that had added a lovely Bar. There was nice music playing, servers waiting on tables, people enjoying the bar and it was a very upbeat vibe. I decided to try a couple of different items so I ordered a small combo pizza with onion and peppers and a small pizza with just pepperoni. Both pizzas were delicious and had good toppings, a nice sauce and a crust that was a little crispy and cook nicely. I started off by trying the fried pickles and did not know what to expect since I had never had them before. My server said they were quite good and they were. Crispy, sweet and tangy all at the same time. My server was great, the prices for the quality of food was excellent and it was a nice place to spend 45 minutes enjoying my food. Nice to see Central Pizza has re-opened. The changes look great and the bar is a great addition to the place. A group of us went the other night after work and sat at the bar. We ordered some of the bar specials along with some drinks. We had some onion rings, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and tried the fried pickles. Pizzas were great with a nice crispy crust and the sauce was very good. The rings were good but the fried pickles surprised us all. None of us had ever tried them before and the bartender suggested we try them. They were awesome and came with a nice dipping sauce (not sure what it was) A couple of us had drafts and the the other got mixed drinks. No issues or complaints as they were all good. The place is basically brand new so everything was neat and clean. The bartender was helpful, friendly and treated us well. Im sure we will go back and its nice to see another good place to eat in Southbridge. read more

Have not been to Central for about 8 months so we stopped in for dinner today. The weather was not to nice today so I figured the place would be slow but it was actually quite busy. We ordered an app which was called firecracker shrimp. The taste was absolutely amazing. There was some type of sweet chilly sauce which was really good. For dinner I ordered the steak tips which came with rice and it was pretty good. The rice was good and there was a lot of steak which I couldnt even finish. My wife had a salad that had fresh strawberries on lots of fresh greens which she enjoyed. We split the cookie that was baked in a hot skillet that came with ice cream and sauce. That was good but when I step on the scale tomorrow I may regret it. Overall the food and service were very good so we are looking forward to our next visit. read more

Went to Central Pizza to try their food after a friend had a good experience there. I stopped in around 5 pm yesterday (Thurs) and the place was pretty busy. Their menu has a lot of good starters and some other foods in addition to pizza. I decided to try their Hamburg pizza since my friend said it was really tasty. I added some of the steak fries and a Coke. The pizza was quite good and the hamburger had a very nice taste. The crust was cooked nicely and the fries was good too. Overall I like the food and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. The place was really nice, clean and from I could tell, just remodeled. I thought the prices were fair and reasonable based on the portions and quality. I'm sure I will go back and try some of their other foods read more

On Wed my buddy and I stopped in to Central Pizza & Pub to try their Bar specials. We both had $5 dollar pizzas, one was cheese and the other was pepperoni. Both pizzas were very good and certainly a great value. We also had a couple of drinks which the bartender Liz made perfectly. She was very friendly and provided great service. Seemed like a pretty good place based on the people we met while at the bar and most of the food we saw being served looked great. The place just went through a total rebuild so everything was very clean including the bathrooms. We will definitely go back for dinner or lunch, seems like a really good place. read more

I have been going to Central Pizza for quite some time. I love their pizza crust!! I just got back from dining inside and the service was superb. Our server (Luz) paid special attention to us. My friend had a special request and instead of just putting through the order of what she thought was correct, she asked the cook about it and he (Vinny) took the time to come out to our table and discussed the order with her to be sure it was exactly what she wanted. One of the better pizza places in town when it comes to having lots of toppings and also their party pizzas. They do really good with toppings, like their Central's Special pizza. Also for decades they have lived and died by their hamburg pizza, which many in Southbridge regard as the best pizza you could buy in town (debatable). However for the pizza review, their cheese pizza is too greasy and has kind of a fruity taste. For small cheese pizza, this place would unfortunately get a 3.7 out of 10 from me. read more

If Central Pizza were to go out of business, I would never get takeout pizza again. Our whole family has been going to Central Pizza for pepperoni pizza for my whole life, and I always get new-to-town friends hooked on "our" place as well. Family friendly environment, great food, what's not to love? Central Pizza has been there for us through birthday parties, anniversaries, holidays, and many many other special traditions. Terrible Customer Service! More than once they left part of my order out. When calling to complain they were extremely rude and did not make any effort to make up for their mistake. Central Pizza obviously does not believe in the "customer is always right" philosophy. Quite the opposite actually. After once I thought it was a fluke. After it happened again, and after reading other similar reviews, it is clearly just the way they are. I will not be going back. read more

Was driving through Southbridge and wanted to stop for dinner with a friend. We found Central Pizza & Pub and right away seemed like a good place. The inside was clean, all new equipment. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and we split a large Hamburg pizza. They were GOOD. Read a lot of great reviews online and decided to try Central Pizza for dinner. We ordered Fish & Chips, a Calzone and some pasta with meatballs. All of the food was excellent and our server really friendly. We also had a couple of their Margaritas which were delicious. I gave them 5 stars because the food, service and environment were all terrific. We will be regulars from this point forward. read more

Went for lunch with some vo-workers. We ordered a large Cheese Pizza and a couple of salads . The pizza was was very tasty and the pizza sauce was really good. The salads were fresh and excellent. The place looked brand new, had a nice bar and the staff was really helpful and friendly. Prices were pretty good for the portions and food quality. We will definitely go back for dinner. read more

This place has been around since 1967 and was just completely remodeled and it looks amazing. Great family environment, friend staff, great bar and the food was outstanding. Come here for the best pizza and grinders in Southbridge and beyond! We get Central's for game nights, parties, and whenever else we can think of an excuse! I ordered the small pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Sauce was awesome, lots of pepperoni and the mushrooms were fresh and tasteful. I planned on doing take-out but was surprised at how nice it was inside. It's a brand pizzeria and the have a bar. It was clean, good music, friendly people. We ordered a Central Special pizza which was really good. Lots of toppings and great taste. We also ordered some barbecue chicken tenders. They were awesome and my kids favorite. My son wanted a snow man for his birthday so I thought to order him a snow man cake but then I asked the manager at central pizza if he can make me a snow man pizza and he did and I think that was amazing the things that they can do at central pizza which made my son very happy that's my favorite pizza in town read more

We've been to Central so many times now. Just can't quit!! For a casual dining experience, great prices and superb service, you cannot go wrong at Central pizza and Pub. Ordered the Central Special pizza which was fantastic. Crust was perfectly cook and it was loaded with toppings. My wife ordered the chicken salad which was huge and very good.
