I've only been here 3 times and each time the service has been horrible. The second time we asked for a lemon drop, the waitress came back saying she couldn't find the ingredients on google seriously If I can find answers to a test online she could of found the ingredients for a simple drink. So far I've been here twice with family and the food is always perfect. My first visit I had a rib eye steak with mashed potatoes an coleslaw; the steak was huge, potatoes were a main course and the coleslaw could've desert. This last time my sister in law had the ribs. Imagine the Flintstones opening when Fred gets his ribs and the car tips on it's side. My niece had the Calf. burrito. Her eyes were in dreamland with every bite. I really enjoyed the tri-tip sandwich. The homemade BBQ sauce is bonkers. A little spicy, which I wouldn't normally go for, but the flavor is so good, I don't mind the spicy part at all (very unlike me)! The fries are nice & crispy, although seasoned, which I prefer just salt (but, the seasoning was fine & not overdone). The staff are friendly, although it can be a little slow. Fillmore is not exactly a culinary mecca, and the food here is simple and bar-type food, but it's done right. With the change of ownership the food has improved drastically! We love this place and it's a go to spot for a great local lunch. I came to check out Central Station after I heard there was new ownership and I was extremely impressed! The tv's are bigger, they have Sunday Ticket, the beer selection is better, and the tri-tip sandwich was off the hook! I had an avocado honey Ale from Islands in Carpentaria, an Amber from Enegren in Moorpark, the Cheif Peak from Topa Topa in Ventura, and a Brown from Institution in Camarillo. Second time I've placed an order for a burger over the phone and it's also the second time they have messed up something so simple. I know it's not the waitress' fault and that is the only reason I give them 2 stars! Very disappointing when their burgers used to be amazing when they first opened. Sorry to say the cooks can't read provolone instead of cheddar cheese! Cook the meat well done when it clearly lists medium rare. Also, an extra order of bacon on a double patty burger very clearly (to the cooks) means two slices of bacon on the single patty burger. They seem to always hire cooks that can't read and just cook things how they want! Save your time and go to Yanni's or IHOP. Even Carl's Jr. hasn't messed up like these guys keep doing! read more

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt for the second time. Big regret. Went the first time with a friend because she raved about the pizza. We go and sit at a table. Waitress came and took our order like it was a chore. We got our drinks and then pizza and that was it. It was a good pizza ill admit. Our waitress would walk by and look away from us before passing. I had to walk to the bar to get and pay our tab. This second time was worse. I will just say, if there are people seated, turn right around. We sat at the bar thinking that would guarantee better service...wrong! It wasn't even a busy night and it felt like we had to beg for attention. So this is the second day in a row I've eaten lunch at this place. Yesterday I was getting my hair cut so I decided since it was taking so long I might as well give it a shot, I had the philly sandwich, and it was super tasty, also had their slaw, no complaints their either. If I had to find a complaint, I guess you could say the sandwich was on the smaller side. With that said, I came back today, as I live right down the street, and had the French dip. Super flavorful, but a little small, I'm not complaining as I'm way too over weight anyways, but I do like this option as the city doesn't have a ton of food spots. the food was flavorful, pretty quick to get to the table, the place is clean. We took a trip to Lake Piru and came down the hill to old town Fillmore with a greatly revived appetite for a good lunch. We walked around and tried this pub for the first time. The place was hopping, the Cubs and the Cardinals were playing, and the tables were full of local people enjoying conversation and good food. We were tempted by the menu which sounded wonderful. Michael enjoyed pulled pork and I had the super chuck burger. The ambience was fun and although it was noisy, that could have been the big group of guys and the TVs on around the room too. It is definitely a good place to eat but maybe not for a meeting where you have to hear yourself think. As often as I eat a burger, which is about once every 3-4 months, I am happy if I find something so good when I do have one. This burger was tasty, tender and the cole slaw and fries were classically good. Service was attentive and friendly. I was surprised that only one person was working tables but she did a great job watching over us.
