Ordered takeout and when I went in, no one acknowledged us until I had to walk up to "Victor" and let him know I was there to pick up an order. Not very warm or friendly, he said he would go check. He went to the back for a bit then came out and walked around for a while leaving me wondering if he even checked or what the status was. As I kept waiting, I had to catch a female waitress' attention and so she went to check and came back to finally tell me the status of my order. When it was ready, "Victor" came out with my order and again, still not friendly. I paid and left but just wondering why they have this guy working there if he's gonna be rude and acting like he hates life. Employees like "Victor" give a business that bad reputation. read more

I tried this place out last night, it's got that small hometown feeling when you walk inside. The staff is friendly, service was good, I got my food in a good amount of time. The beef ribs were awesome, they gave me like 6 to 8 ribs, I was wondering if they accidentally gave me two orders (I guess I'll find out when I go back). The BBQ beans were just okay. We felt comfortable since we first walked in. It's a typical bar & grill with a great craft beer selection and just good food grill. I believe our bartender was the manager, possibly the owner, she was friendly and took great care of us. We enjoyed some great tacos and a delicious tri-tip sandwich with good fries and some great jalapeño poppers. I believe the bar has been recently renovated, the tables and chairs are solid and comfortable, making for a calm atmosphere. We are in Fillmore two or three times a year to get roses or tomatoes and now just stop at Central Station for a great lunch before heading home. read more

Great atmosphere with the family. I grabbed the tri tip sandwich and my wife did the bbq pulled pork and we were super happy. Central Station has a great location on the main strip in the little quiet town of Fillmore. this is a "location town" which means Hollywood uses it as "any town USA" all the time. I have been to Central Station at least 3 times before, this however this was before I was a yelp addict. I drive the 126 on a regular basis and have had a nagging urge to go back just so I could check-in and write a review....The burger.. it is still the solid burger I have had every time! Today I took my 18 year old daughter with me, we were on set off pear blossom highway and stopped in on the way home. For the food to still be top of the mark BAM!! 5 stars RIGHT NOW! Cold beer, good food and a collage game on the TV's not a bad lunch! They have one burger on the menu, the super chunk burger we added bacon and cheese. cooked to a juicy perfection. Been coming here for a long time and the service has always been horrible but today just took the cake... we sat there for 20 mins and nobody even came to our table to even ask us for drinks. When we were able to make eye contact with one of the waitresses she just kind of nodded to us and that was it! We very much enjoy going to Fillmore as a family day trip. We visit the Fish Hatchery, the Historical Museum and the antique stores. I had been wanting to try out the Central Station Bar and Grill and finally found an opportunity. We walked in behind another family and waited. And waited. And waited. There appeared to be one waitress there, and she finally saw us... And... said nothing. She walked back and forth and passed us about 4 times and even looked at us about four times and said nothing! We waited for about ten minuets, and were just completely ignored. I tried to get her attention, but she up right didn't care. I see there is another review on here titled, "Where everyone knows your name"". So maybe they need to know your name in order to be welcomed into this establishment. I'm disappointed, because it looked like the type of place I'd enjoy... but if we're not welcome, we're not welcome. Again... it's not like they didn't know we were there. They made eye contact and simply, didn't care. Skip. Go to the much friendlier Fondita Mexican Restaurant about ten steps down the road. Or Yanni's Best, a short drive away. We got hungry as we were starting out our road trip. I found this place on Yelp and I am so jazzed I did. Corner bar and Grill! Super great atmosphere and super friendly staff! My husband ordered the Super Chuck Burger and he raved about the great flavor! I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. It's located on a cute hometown feel street. The food isn't the best, besides the pizza. I had the mango habanero boneless wings, potato skins, and a cheese pizza. The wings and skins were mid along with the ranch dressing which is really weird. The prices are really affordable so I guess it makes sense. Strong alcoholic drinks also. This place is bomb as heck. My buddy and I came for beers and tacos. I had 3 beers and 8 tacos. The beer was delicious and cold. The bartender asked if I wanted to sample anything which is a great service to offer. I had the carnitas tacos.The tacos were scrumptious; they were stuffed full with meat and flavor. I recommend asking for the hotter salsa from the back if you can handle it. The ambiance of the building is really cool! Huge flat screens adorn almost every wall. I had a great time watching the NBA playoffs in this building. The regulars are nice and it was fun bantering with them. Central Station has an attentive staff and a clean welcoming environment. My only knock against this fine establishment is their parking. I had to walk further than usual but it was fine because it was worth the trek for delicious tacos and ice cold beer. As soon as you walk in you are immediately greeted with a friendly face and your drinks and food are out fast....I love there BLT and everything is freshly made. I'm glad I did because the 2 ladies who were bartendering took care of the whole place themselves and absolutely killed it. It had cheese, Chile verde, chips, sour cream, guacamole. I asked for fresh cilantro, onions, and fresh jalapeños. I got everything, but fresh jalapeños and I got their house salsa...pickled were acceptable. The salsa made the dish even better! My friend ordered cheese pizza. I didn't taste it, but it looked over cooked and hard. I never saw him take a bite and oodles of cheese strung from the pizza to his mouth. We both had water and it was nice and chilled; water tastes good there. Bathroom was clean. I think the place is PERFECT for the little town of Fillmore and if I lived there I would probably not be as picky as this Elite Yelper and would give it 4 stars if that were the case! read more

Hey SCV, take a drive to Filmore and check this place out. Great local restaurant/bar with the best pizza we have had in the area. Good food, fast friendly service with seating indoor and out. The crust and sauce are really good and they have a good list of toppings. Drinks from the bar are well made and the beer is cold. Parking on the street is easy to find. Take a walk down the Main Street or even over to the train station. Cool little town and a nice break from the less than impressive list of places to eat around Valencia. read more

We've been to Central Station a few times, and every time it continuously gets worse. It has never been a 5 star joint, but this evenings experience was just ridiculous. After a long day at work, we like to get out for happy hour. Normally we'll go to Garmans in Santa Paula (5 star joint) or El Pescador, but against our better judgement, we decided we'd try Central Station again. When I think of HH, based on what other restaurants serve, you have a bar menu, and a food menu. The only thing they have on HH is beer. Not everybody drinks beer. The beer HH is actually pretty reasonable, I think I paid 3.75. But my wife doesn't drink beer. $11 for a mixed drink, in a tumbler? It's not even a full glass, and it's weak. So she decided on a pepsi. When I asked the server why there was nothing else on the HH menu, she responed with "there just isn't". There are no food items on the HH menu. We decided we'd try the sampler platter. It consists of 1 potato skin, cut in half. 2 frozen breaded chicken strips, cut in half. A single flauta, cut in half. 3 chicken wings, and maybe 6 rib tips, barbque sauce and WATERED down Ranch dressing for $12. When they brought the plate out, all the fried stuff was warm, but the rib tips were cold to the touch. When we had to call the wait staff over, she took the plate, along with the rest of the wait staff to the kitchen. Not sure what was going on there, I'll leave it to your imagination. When our food was returned, we asked for a to-go box, paid the bill and left. This will be the last time I visit Central Station. It is overpriced, and the wait staff just waits for you to get their attention. read more

They have a great menu, anything from salads, burgers to BBQ Tri Tip and may I suggest the Flat Iron steak. You can catch Frank outside on patio bbq'ing up some of that fine tri-tip on the big grill on any given Sunday, but come by early , cuz they close super early on Sunday's about 5pm. And the best news yet, they just got thier full liquor license!! Whoo whoo, very popular spot on 4th of July!!! Have fun! I've been coming to Central Station for a few years now and have never had a meal I didn't like. The restaurant is modeled after an upscale sports bar: brick walls, large HD televisions, spacious booths, high top tables and walls adorned with sports memorabilia. There is also a patio with additional tables and a large barbecue used for grilling their famous tri-tip. The food is delicious. I've had nearly everything on the menu and the tri-tip is always tender and juicy, the chicken is never dry and the salads are always crisp. Recently, they just added house-made pizzas and they are REALLY good. The size of the pizzas are generous and the crust is crispy on the bottom and perfectly chewy on the top. Service is good too, with the staff always on top of the refills. The prices are fair and reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. read more

In this sleepy town of Fillmore, is a lone grill. The bar looks like a throwback to an era where you can see some real gristly train folk come in for a bottle of rye, and would ask to "leave the bottle." A barbecue sits outside, slowly roasting meat. It wafts across this tiny town. This is a really cool joint. Low key getaway spot in the middle of town. I can't imagine too much going on here. Just a nice duck out place from the congestion of Los Angeles, if you travel this way. It's nice enough away from Ventura too. Just a really relaxing quiet place. The beers are cheap ($2.50 for domestic). And the wings on Tuesdays & Thursdays are only $5. I don't come up this way too much. I was on a location scout just sniffing out the place. I got followed by a bum when walking through town. And most of the shops are closed. But CS was a nice oasis to kick back and observe the ebbs and flows of the town. read more

I met a friend here for a quick bite before we headed down to the tracks to check out the old train. I ordered a burger and my friend had a grilled chicken salad. I must say my burger was better than I had expected; the bun was really good and my friend said her salad was pretty good too. Central Station is about the only place to grab a beer and some American food in the Downtown area. I was impressed with the variety of beers they have on tap...If I find myself in Fillmore again I will most certainly return to the Central Station...good times! read more
