I was really worried about the staffing at this location and the facilitation of my repair when I dropped off the car. They kept promising me an estimate (on 3 separate occasions) and it didn't even happen until the shop held onto my vehicle for TWO MONTHS. An estimate for repair should take max one day. On top of holding onto my car for 2 months, the estimate was provided and the work was started however THEN they realized they couldn't even DO the work. Never again will I go here and I recommend to stay away from this Mom and Pop shop 100%. read more

Great old-time Texas values and manners was what I found at CTC. I had a pickup door that was misaligned and driving me crazy because it would not shut, open, or lock properly. I brought my car to Central Texas Collision Services in Buda seeking a 2nd quote on repair of my Hyundai because I felt the first quote that I received from another well known body shop was way too high. Not only did Doug Mueller, the shop manager, give me a lower estimate but he took the time to explain further things about the repair process. Obviously, I went with CTCS due to the lower quote and great customer service. I didn't feel like they were taking advantage of me. Also, they completed the work faster than estimated. I hope I don't need more work done again but if I do, I will certainly take my business to CTCS and recommend them to others. read more

My car is about 15 years old, and the age really started to show as the clear coat began to fail. I contacted many body shops and received very high quotes ranging from $1300 to $2000 for a repaint of the hood and roof. Central quoted me $650. It was a no-brainer at that point. I was told upfront that my paint was difficult to match and blend, being a two-stage pearl metallic. I decided to go through with it. A million estimates--because I'm terribly indecisive--and a few days later I was amazed. Not only was the repair done fast, but the car looked amazing! I got compliments from a lot of customers at my job, and I find myself guilty of the "look back" effect when I park my car. I couldn't be happier and I have recommended them to a few of my friends/family already. Honest and efficient work coupled with fair prices? I don't think anyone in the area can beat that. Seriously! If there were 6 stars, I'd make it 6. This was my first time with Ctrl TX Collision and I really can't be more impressed. Everything from Doug's awesome disposition at the onset of the process of estimating and starting the process of repairing the damage to my car, to the amazing, jaw-droppingly good job the body shop did. We just picked up our freshly painted 1995 Roadtrek RV (a small motor home converted from a Dodge van) from Central Texas Collision Services. We had it painted because there were small pock marks, some of which were rusty, all over the vehicle (Doug at CTCS explained that this problem resulted from the fact that the original factory primer coat had been defective). In addition, there were numerous more extensive superficially rusted areas, including the windshield support pillars. Overall, it just plain looked bad, and the rust around the windshield looked like it might be more than superficial. It looked like the integrity of the vehicle might be in question. CTCS had our Roadtrek for about three weeks--long enough that they did not have to hurry, but quickly enough not to inconvenience us at all. We took it there after the shop our insurance agent recommended could not handle the job because, they said, their paint booth is too small. In addition, the other shop declared that the vehicle is not worth what it would cost to paint it. To begin with, I did not much like being told what the vehicle is worth--that is for us to decide, and we feel that it was well worth protecting it from further rust. When the first shop could not help us, I looked around the Internet for someone who could and found CTCS. Central Texas Collision has an enormous paint booth that would accommodate any vehicle you can imagine; they also have one they consider to be their "small" booth which well accommodated our RV. They did not say anything negative about our RV; instead, they treated it with respect and creativity. They did a magnificent job of prepping and painting the vehicle. At my request, they tracked down and beautifully applied accents using the original paint from my long lost 1971 Datsun 240Z, thereby honoring a car that had meant a lot to me. This was a challenge because it involved using materials and techniques that have been obsolete for 20 years. All I asked was that they use this paint on about the bottom foot of the vehicle to replace a similar band of color that had been part of the original paint scheme. They had a couple of terrific ideas for additional places to use it, though, (the awning cover and the cover of the Continental spare tire kit), to yield a truly unique and, in our view, extremely attractive result. Because they had to remove the windshield to take care of the rust on the pillars, they installed a new windshield and gasket while they were at it. They did all of this at a price that was to the penny equal to their original estimate. On top of that, the owner (Steve Ohlman) and the shop manager (Doug Mueller) could not possibly be nicer guys, and we had only very positive interactions with all other members of the staff with whom we had contact. Our Fiat 500 suffered a pummeling from the recent hail storm in San Antonio. It is pearl white and from what I've heard had to match. If it´s body work only that you need they are OK, but if there is some technology systems damaged along with the body, this is not the place to consider. They replaced a safety sensor for me with a new one, and it did not work. The response I got from them is to resolve the problem with the dealership because they would have to contact the dealership, as well to fix it and the dealership would charge them the same as they would charge me. The reason I decided to give them the work is because I asked them if they knew how to handle it and they said ¨yes¨. The bottom line is that now I probably have to spend several hundred more dollars to fix my car because of their limitations. read more
