The pasta pizza is by far my favorite slice. Always stopping at centro after a night out at stumble.

I needed a quick inexpensive bite. The small pie for $11 grabbed my attention. Great value for a hot cheesy pie for not a lot of money. Super filled. Good flour on the dough. Hot. Tasty. Soft delectable dough. No complaints!

Margherita pizza was delicious. Crust crisp and not burnt. Service was quick and courteous. Perfect sit down pizza spot. Comfortable and relaxed for the city.

Amazing vegan pizza slice for $4. Fresh and friendly service. No cheese only fresh veggies, tomatoes, and garlic. Amazing simple food. Wanted to go to Screamer's for Vegan Pizza yet you can't do Rome and Paris in the same day so enjoyed the vegan slice here.

Fast, simple, easy, nice staff. And doesn't hurt the wallet at $3.26 w tax for a plain cheese slice. The cheese was good and the Dough is chewy. Standard pizza NYC is used to. It's just too much dough for me as I like paper thin and more sauce and Crispy and light bottom. And in summer heat the AC was not really on...maybe slightly and a fan in one area near the kitchen. So you can't go wrong for the price. Thank you for a quick bite! The cheese slice is good and only $3.26 total w tax and you can use credit card for just this. Makes life easy!

Amazing I love the triple sauce pizza and the caesar salad pizza slice. I think this place is great for a late night spot with lots of open seating

Decently reliable pizza joint on the UES. Standard assortment of pizzas with different toppings, calzones, pastas, heros, garlic knots, and such. Fridge with sodas and drinks, along with salads and pre-packaged items. Regular slices are large, and at $2.75 each two of them and a soda won't break the bank for a quick dinner. Some tables out on the sidewalk to eat and people watch.

Ordered vodka pizza, got a slice of (unsure??) slathered in vodka sauce. Absolutely unacceptable.

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
