This is a solid pizza spot right by NYP. IMO the regular slice could've used a little bit more sauce, but the crust was thin, crisp and on point. I also really enjoyed this thicker slice (photo below) with vodka sauce and pepperoni. Tried a few specialty slices and everyone agreed this was a solid, no frills spot...one of better ones on the UES for sure! Small but there are some tables so you can eat in if you want. Counter along the window for additional space to eat. Everyone was super friendly and patient with us as we tried to decide what we wanted. We will definitely be back!

Crazy grandma, buffalo chicken

Stopped in here for a quick lunch during a workday. There was a short line that moved quite quickly. All the pizzas are on display so you can see what tickles your fancy. I got one slice of crazy grandma (thin slice with vodka sauce - incredible!) and one slice of the buffalo chicken Detroit style (good first bite then felt incredibly heavy and I couldn't finish it). They have some seating available. All in all 4/5, I've had better pizza in NYC but it was solid.

This pizza deserved to be put on a pedestal

One of my gigs is in the area and I happened upon this pizza shop while trying to find an atm so I could tip my garage guys. After scoring funds next door, I stopped in the shop to grab a seltzer to settle my stomach. As I paid for my prebiotic soda (Yay!), the guy at the register asked if I wanted anything else and I declined. But then I looked at all of their different pizzas and immediately changed my mind. With such a variety, the pizza looked very fresh, and you can tell they have a quick turnover. I decided to pick up a few things, which y'all already know by now means I bought half the menu. I ordered several slices of pizza, along with a hotdog roll for my kiddo because she loves hotdogs. Everything I tried tasted very good. Fresh Prince of York Ave - very cheesy mozz slice with spicy pepperoni cups Lenox Ave - pepperoni and sauseej slice Drunken Grandma - grandma slice wtih vodka sauce Crazy Grandma - grandma slice with vodka sauce and pesto Shrimp Cesar Pizza - this was a featured pizza and I is my absolute favorite! They do not skimp on the shrimp! I had beautifully fried (and seasoned) huge shrimp nestled in a bed of cesar salad, atop a slice of pizza. It was magnificent. I have a pizza setting on my toaster oven, so I used that to gets it up. It only took a few minutes because I wanted to ensure the salad remained in tact. It was soooooo good, down to the parmesan shavings. My kiddo loved her hotdog roll but the pizza dough wrap was a little hard for her. I will definitely order from here again, when I'm working in the area, or even if I'm in lower Manhattan and heading home. This spot is very close to the FDR, right near York Ave.

Ordered delivery through postmates and found the items to be hit or miss: Spicy vodka penne - awesome! Big portion and the sauce was super flavorful and spicy Spinach roll - not great. It was tiny and barely had any cheese Barbie hero - yikes. It was missing both the bbq sauce and cheese. The chicken slices were paper thin (maybe only an ounce or two of chicken on a $16 sandwich) Meatballs - the meatballs themselves were great. The sauce was super acidic.

Got it for delivery and it arrived on time. A lot of speciality pizza to choose from. They really load up the pizza with the toppings and sauce. The dough and under carriage stays strong while holding up all the toppings.

I've been here once or maybe twice but it was excellent service, excellent food, and excellent small pizza shop ambiance.

I inhaled my pizza before I could even take a proper picture. It was delicious! Highly recommend the arugula grandma slice and all white pizza! The salad on top of the arugula grandma was delicious! Loving their crust too. Small cozy local place with a few tables. And super nice staff members! Can't wait to come back to try all their other pizzas.

Nice selection of tasty food at a reasonable price. Ambiance is typical and the do have some tables outside. Daughter lives around the corner, so I'm pretty sure we will be back. Nice friendly service.

Margarita pizza. Love it. Thin crust. Great flavor. Nice people here.

Regardless of this place being a Spanish ran pizza joint, they make one hell of a pizza. 8.3/10 on the plain slice alone.

It was fine. My partner liked it more than little Italy and lunetta down a few blocks. I think at least 5.50 per slice

The arancini was a standout: perfectly crisp on the outside, creamy inside, and served with a rich, delicious sauce that tied it all together. We ended on the tiramisu, which was absolutely worth saving room. It was light, flavorful, and a perfect finish to the meal. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind and helpful--especially notable for New York--and it made the whole evening feel relaxed and welcoming. A small heads-up: it's a bit tricky to find, so give yourself extra time. That said, the hidden, underground subway setting is part of the charm and makes the whole experience feel unique. I'd love to see more restaurants creatively use these kinds of spaces in the future.

To start with the good: the arancini were perfectly passable, and the Sicilian pie was enjoyed by all. I would describe it as more of a Detroit style actually, with a super crispy crust and nice textural contrast. On the other hand, we did not enjoy the seasonal vegetable pie or the nepo pie. I generally really like this sort of no-cheese, umami-heavy pizza, but the nepo was so salty! I'm not sure what specific ingredient was missing, but missing it was. My hopes for a recreation of the rossa pie I enjoyed at Farina prior to their closure were dashed. As for the vegetable pie, the vegetables tasted like the frozen veggies one might find in what was once marketed as a "TV dinner". It was a shame, since the sauce of the white pie was otherwise pretty good.

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Personally prefer the margarita as it seems to be a more well-rounded pizza and the tomato just can't be missed. It was pretty packed inside when we got there and took the bar seating, so would probably recommend a reservation for larger parties (2+) on evenings. Definitely one of my top neopolitan pizza spots in NYC!

Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
