Made an appointment based on ratings and wanted to support a business in my neighborhood. They were nice and allowed me to come in several hour earlier for my appt. The lady that did my pedicure did a really good job! Almost fell asleep during the appointment. I will be coming back here in the future.

Finger infection from unsanitary nail salon

!!!!BE CAUTIOUS!!! NAIL INFECTION... UNSANITARY SALON... using unsanitary / or improperly cleaned tools on clients!! GROSS.. I'm an licensed esthetician so I know all about proper cleaning and disinfecting and saw NONE there! 02/28/24 I got a terrible finger infection... it's called Paronychia actually of my middle finger on my left hand and let me tell all of you... their work... so not worth the pain and the money I had went through with my finger as a result of their work or lack there of... I went there with my sister to just hang out and get our nails done, I got a acrylic full set and she also got an acrylic full set and her toes done. She's totally fine which is great! Me on the other hand... not great! In fact I had to go to the emergency room and have this surgically drained because it went under my nail bed and deeper than I thought! Oh and guess what... yes, I did have to pay out of my OWN pocket to fix THEIR carelessness. So if you don't want the possibility of this happening to you... I'd go somewhere else!! :) just a fair warning!

Amazing service!!! Ann did a wonderful job!! She went above and beyond with my pedicure service, she took her time to do a perfect detail work. And very sweet and friendly, cannot go wrong and don't give second thought to book your appointment. Will definitely go back!

Came here with a friend to get acrylics and a pedicure :) couldn't be happier with how they came out and my nail tech was so sweet! She squeezed me in even though she was a bit busy with appointments and I really appreciated that! Thank you, Thuy for doing such a stunning job! Will definitely be returning.

So, I've been going to my same lady back in my hometown for almost 20yrs. With my older kids in sports on the weekend, a newborn and a toddler - I hadn't been able to make it out to see her. Being that we just moved here, I figured I would try this place since it's right by my house. Well, maybe I'm just spoiled with my hometown lady - she really scrubs the bottom of my feet and gives me a great massage and makes sure my toenails are filed properly. Here- well - totally rushed. I sat down - last of all 3 ladies that sat and was the first one done. She used the pumice stone for like 10 seconds on each foot. It's been over 2mos so my feet were in need of some scrubbing. Then the massage - mediocre at best. They use hot stones with oil which is cool but then the same motion for the actual massage and it wasn't long at all. Finished in 20min! What?!? Looking at my polish and filing job - polish was ok but I purposely picked a light color to look better. Filing - not even smooth (see pic). She didn't even put polish on the edges of nails. She asked me if it's ok - I said it's rough but I'll file at home - she said ok and went to the next person....really?!? She is like one of the head ladies too....she should have made it right regardless of what I said. The 2 stars is for the less than mediocre massage and decent paint job. Everything else - well - not worth it. I pay less in San Jose for my pedicures and get 100% better job. I could have done the same job at home and saved the money. I get a pedicure to smoothen my feet and a good massage. The filing and painting should be automatic. First and last time here....not worth it. I'm a loyal customer and tip good when the job is at least what I expect. However, if you treat me like a nobody and do a half ass job, don't expect me to come back let alone give you a great tip. Disappointing - but I should have known better than to cheat on my regular lady. I just wanted to find a good alternative to when I can't make it out to see her. PS. The other 1 of the other 2 ladies that sat down before me is still getting rubbed and not even close to being done. Wth.

    Crooked nail

They fit me in last minute which I was very thankful for but the lady up front didn't do the ombré style very well. Asked to fix it and couldn't. The pink goes way up to the tips of my nails. My thumb nail is also crooked. When paying for my nails she slammed my debt card down as well. Very rude and will not be coming back.

They ruined my natural nail plate by using the drill too hard. Not recommend!!!!! My nails are completely destroyed

1000% do not go to this place. My daughters nails look horrible. Unfortunately I was not with her when she got her nails done so being 15 they tend not to speak up. They look like Frankenstein nails for Halloween. The ladies excuse was she had been working all day and she accommodated my daughter by taking 10 dollars off The cost. She refused to give my money back and offered to fix them. No thanks! So homecoming dance is tonight and we are now at a different salon getting them fixed paying for nails all over again. That lady should be ashamed of herself. Dont waste your time or your money.

My fill is totally noticeable and it's kind of embarrassing

Not satisfied, unfortunately my fill is noticeable. I was cut twice with the nail file going too rough on my fingers and left with rough uneven edges. It's just disappointing because I was looking forward to doing something for myself and left feeling sad about the finished product.

    Shellac number 26 by lynn

5 stars is for lynn she has superb customer service and always touches up my nails if needed even if I didn't come for manicure. Also I belive they open early to help well known customer :) a plus if you have things to do and need to get in and out. The establishment it is nice and clean. My four stars would go to the owner she's not super mean but she's not very nice either. I cannot say that I wouldn't agree with the other reviews in regards to the owner. Although she is the business owner she wouldn't keep me from coming strange I know. I come for lynn and the other staff members seem just as nice and they also have their following.

I was seated immediately and was getting my pedicure/manicure service. After 15 minutes I realized that the woman working on my hands didn't really know what she was doing, she kept shaking as she was cutting my cuticle, and sprayed my hands with alcohol twice within a 5 minutes span. I thought she would have moved on with applying nail polish. I was wrong. She proceeded to apply hand lotion right after applying the gel base. At this point I had to stop her and my pedicure was finished and was confused and nervous- not a feeling you want after leaving a nail salon. They were going to shift me over to a table to finish my gel application and I said I would pay for my services and leave. I was then asked to pay for my full service for a clean-up as my manicure. My only regret was not pushing back on that $20 charge, but I won't be returning back.

The first time I went to Crystal's, James did my nails and he did an amazing job. Unfortunately,…read moreI'm basically a walking allergy test. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I'm allergic to a chemical found in gel polish as well as the solution used to build acrylic and gel nails. The reaction causes my skin to burn, blister, itch, and swell all at once. Now that I'm fully aware of this allergy, I only get dip nails. On 5/24/26, I called and made an appointment at Crystal's. I couldn't remember the original tech's (James)name because it had been years since I'd been back after previously experiencing an allergic reaction from gel polish used on my toes by another staff member. My appointment was at 11:00 AM, and they took me right on time. Initially, everyone was friendly. The woman who did my pedicure was very nice. However, when the male tech, not James, started my nails, I became concerned because he began filing my nails down instead of soaking them off, which is how every other salon I've visited handles dip removal. When I asked about it, he told me, "Oh, we don't do that anymore." The tech then started applying a thick paste-like overlay to my nails. I immediately said, "Wait, I want dip nails." He responded, "Yes, I know," and continued applying the product. Although the nails looked nice cosmetically, I knew something was wrong. By the time I got home, I started experiencing the same burning sensation that I had before during allergic reactions. I called the salon and asked to speak with the owner, but I was told she was not working that day. I explained what was happening and was instructed to come back in. Upon my return, the friendly atmosphere was completely gone. The staff repeatedly insisted that all of their powders were dip powders and explained that they simply do dip "a different way." They removed my nails while speaking loudly in another language, and the tech removing them was rough and visibly irritated. I was refunded my money and left, but there was still residue left on my nails. At that point, I didn't even feel comfortable saying anything further because I was made to feel like I was the problem. Needless to say, my fingers are now swollen because the dip was done "a different way", not the way James originally did them, and not the way any other salon has done my dip nails successfully without causing a reaction. My only recommendation is this: If a customer specifically asks for dip nails, please make sure there is a clear understanding of the process being used and the products involved, especially when allergies are communicated. Also... where is James?

If I had a choice it would be a 0 star rating. This was the most painful and worst pedicure I have…read moreever received. I don't know if the girl was new to the field or what? First, she was rough and was cutting my skin and poking me and causing me to bleed on many of my toes and nails! Especially my left pinky toe nail which she also used a cheese grater to remove callouses. I usually go for the deluxe treatment which they didn't use the grater on me at other places but this time I just ordered the callous treatment which was 38. so 20. cheaper. But the grater took off some of my skin not only callouses. Especially since the pinky toe area is sensitive. When she cut my nails I was wondering why she was cutting it so short and part of my skin as well. Then she proceeded to poke and prod and file the short nail down even more. After I kept getting hurt and saying ouch numerous times, I was debating maybe I should have got up and just left! But I am such a ninny, and polite that I stayed and thought it can't get much worse, it will be ok. It became a comedy of errors. It looked like a 3rd grader painted my nails and she kept fixing one nail but then accidentally touched the other nail on the other foot ruining the polish and had to keep going back and forth fixing it. You would think you would learn after 1 or 2 of these accidents, but she did it over and over I just started laughing bc it was comical! She was laughing too and saying sorry! Normally, when the polish comes off accidentally it was bc of me, not the nail salon person! Then I asked bc this was the first time I had a black border on the top and bottom edges and some side edges? I thought maybe it was bc I picked a light blush pink color and I never had that as usually I got French manicures which are even lighter in color! I didn't have my reading glasses so I couldn't see well, but she painted the edges more. Later when I got home I was looking over the black edges wondering why they were black? It was because of dried blood!!! She cut it too short causing it to bleed and poked and prodded further making it bleed. I guess it was underneath. Then that pinky on the left was red and inflamed and painful. So I don't know if it was hurting from irritation, or if it got infected!? Two days later it is still red and hurts. The cheese grater she took out didn't come out of any solution I was thinking I hope they sterilized it!? Anyway, this was closer to my house so I went there since it was the weekend and less busy there than my usual place. But definitely avoiding this place next time! Oh and another thing she had long, sharp nails as well and she would dig her nails into the edges as well. Just not a good experience all the way around. I still gave her a good tip( although I really was thinking I shouldn't but I think I'm just conditioned to do it now and thought well she did the work at least) and she lol looked surprised too! I hate to say this, I would avoid going here with all of these red flags and painful bleeding experience- I just never had that. I may have one or two ouches with an aggressive technician and I have a high pain tolerance, but this was the entire pedicure! I was thinking what a WASTE of my money and it didn't even look good like a little kid painted my nails!
