By far the worst pedicure I have ever received. I have two stars because they followed COVID protocol and seem to have a good system in place BUT everything after that was NOT a good experience. I'm pregnant so I definitely value my mani/pedi time. The nails tech cut my toenails down to the skin and then picked around my cuticles, pinching and pulling up my skin (never has ever happened to me before). I let her know it hurt and she kept going. She asked if I wanted a special pedicure. I replied no. But she came out with hot stones that she placed on my legs - WAY too hot. I asked that she remove them and she placed them under my feet and pushed my foot down on them. I told her to stop again complaining that they were too hot. She seemed irritated. She finished my pedicure with what I guess was supposed to be a leg massage? The whole process took an hour On to my manicure: I have natural nails that had gel polish in them. She used the electric filer to remove the polish which burned. I also had a broken nail that was still attached to my skin. She tried to cut it with fingernail clippers but clipped my skin. She decided to instead put acrylic on my nail to mend it (never knew about this method but ok)....she kept Pulling my arms to be closer to her but I'm huge at 8 months pregnant and couldn't lean forward. She put a towel behind me that made me sit straight up instead of allowing me to sit back- very uncomfortable. After the filing she told me to "pay now". My mani/pedi is supposed to be $48 according to what they have on their price sheet. She tells me $58. I asked why. She then says she's charging me $5 for the repair of my nail and $5 for removing my gel because it wasn't from their shop????! I let her know she should have told me that before. I pay, she paints my nails and I sit under the dryer. I received no help to put my Shoes back on or pick up my wallet and keys. I said thank you and left with crooked nails, toenails that look like stumps and sore fingers. Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. And to think I thought I was doing something fancy because I drove into Brentwood! read more

So, I've been going to my same lady back in my hometown for almost 20yrs. With my older kids in sports on the weekend, a newborn and a toddler - I hadn't been able to make it out to see her. Being that we just moved here, I figured I would try this place since it's right by my house. Well, maybe I'm just spoiled with my hometown lady - she really scrubs the bottom of my feet and gives me a great massage and makes sure my toenails are filed properly. Here- well - totally rushed. I sat down - last of all 3 ladies that sat and was the first one done. She used the pumice stone for like 10 seconds on each foot. It's been over 2mos so my feet were in need of some scrubbing. Then the massage - mediocre at best. They use hot stones with oil which is cool but then the same motion for the actual massage and it wasn't long at all. Finished in 20min! What?!? Looking at my polish and filing job - polish was ok but I purposely picked a light color to look better. Filing - not even smooth (see pic). She didn't even put polish on the edges of nails. She asked me if it's ok - I said it's rough but I'll file at home - she said ok and went to the next person....really?!? She is like one of the head ladies too....she should have made it right regardless of what I said. The 2 stars is for the less than mediocre massage and decent paint job. Everything else - well - not worth it. I pay less in San Jose for my pedicures and get 100% better job. I could have done the same job at home and saved the money. I get a pedicure to smoothen my feet and a good massage. The filing and painting should be automatic. First and last time here....not worth it. I'm a loyal customer and tip good when the job is at least what I expect. However, if you treat me like a nobody and do a half ass job, don't expect me to come back let alone give you a great tip. Disappointing - but I should have known better than to cheat on my regular lady. I just wanted to find a good alternative to when I can't make it out to see her. PS. The other 1 of the other 2 ladies that sat down before me is still getting rubbed and not even close to being done. Wth. read more

Came here because I had time between appointments in Brentwood even though I live in Walnut Creek. 4 stars for: comfortable customer mani chairs, great quality work, friendly staff, good prices. They do talk in their language quite a bit but it isn't about the customers and they will explain what they are talking about sometimes. 1 star off for ambience. They played the same handful of Christmas song on repeat.. I think I heard Feliz Navidad 3 times while I was in there. I agree with another's post that the set-up is like a bank or something. Meh...there's better out there! Felt like a county library and the staff weren't very welcoming or communicative. Recently moved to the area and still in search of a "home" nail salon. My daughter and I dropped in on a Saturday for 2 pedi's, a fill, and a gel manicure. All techs were occupied, which was a good sign I suppose, although the salon was not "packed". We were told to pick a color and wait. So we picked our colors and waited.....and waited....and waited. Another patron walked in and she was told to pick her color and wait as well. One of the nail techs finishing up with her patron's pedi looked up and saw the second lady waiting (who'd come in after us), and it was nothing short of a joyous reunion for both. We were all smiles. We all know how the next part of this story goes. Yep, you guessed it....once the tech was done and money exchanged hands, she came and scooped up her long lost tipper and off to pedi chair bliss they went. No explanation, no sorry, no nothing...which I would have understood completely had any story been told for the line skip. We were left looking like pedi fiends in waiting. Interestingly, the other patrons looking on seemed more upset than us by the unfairness as it was pretty obvious, there was no appointment. My response....I left and Yelped! read more

Since my family and I moved to Brentwood a year ago, I went to several nail salons but I wasn't 100% satisfied. I finished work early today and thinking of having my nails done. I went to Century Nail since it's closer to home. I came as a walk in and expect nothing much but I was so happy with the result. Tina and her coworker (I forgot her name ) did a wonderful job and very good with customers service. Tina did my manicure and her coworker did my pedicure. I don't like design on my nails, love natural color. They exceeded my expectations, the line is so neat, the massage was so relaxing. The salon is so clean, It doesn't smell strong as other nail salons, which is really good for me since I'm so sensitive with strong scent. They do a very detailed manicure & pedicure. Tina really cleaned around my nails and left them immaculate. It actually hurt a little, but I was grateful to have such clean toesies. I got the deluxe pedi, and she took the time to exfoliate my feet thoroughly and evenly. Many salons miss some spots of callous, and my feet never feel smooth enough. I'm very happy with these results. She does a great job with cuticles also. Usually, by the time I wash my hands a couple times and wash the lotions/creams away, my cuticles look raggedy again, because the manicurist didn't do a good job of nipping. Tina was again very thorough. It's a few days later, and my hands look great. My polish is lasting well, too. I just left a salon, in part because my polish would be chipping within a day. They were very busy, which is always a good sign. However, by the time they could fit me in towards the end of the day, they had actually run out of hot water! My foot soak was lukewarm, which was a pretty big letdown. I'll make an appointment earlier in the day next time to avoid this. The salon is pretty average looking, about average cleanliness. The staff is friendly and seem focused on their jobs. I have gone to many salons in which the staff seems overly concerned with themselves: eating food out on the salon floor, expressing some attitude if required to give services close to closing time, talking too loud and raucously amongst themselves, letting their kids run around and make noise... This salon is very good about keeping the focus on the clients & keeping it enjoyable. The workers are human beings also, they should be happy in their work, but it shouldn't be obnoxious to customers. These ladies talk a lot to each other, but they almost whisper. I frankly have no idea how they hear each other! They're very polite. Like many other places, they take credit cards, but you can only tip in cash. I will definitely return here. read more

Very rude , I tried to just give them 2 more chances each time I get there I was told they can't see me and Can I just come tomorrow . what!?! When I did come back I was told to come back again and all I wanted was my eyebrows done. I feel like they pick who they want to see. I just moved out here to find a home nail shop and they just disappoint me every time. The customer service isn't worth what your spending there. And if your coming in there to have a nail day it's not worth it , your most likely going to have to come back or wait . Some of those lady's Can only do certain things so that's why you have to wait so long . They need more nail techs who knows what they are doing . & I also watched a lady ask for powder nail and they didn't know what the hell to do , so they read the instructions as they did her nails. This salon has poor quality. Me and my friend got full sets and one of her nails broke the minute we got home. They couldn't do the designs or nails shapes we wanted, and the male nail tech (who owns the shop) packed on so much acrylic on my nails that they are chunky and uneven. First, let me tell you that I am a man and I think men, in general, get poor service for manicures. I had a manicure. The lady that did it spent most of her time watching TV while doing my nails. That is, except for the time she spent texting on her phone. At one point she we so distracted that she was actually buffing the back of my hand rather than my nails. Needless to say, I get a really really poor manicure. I had to go home and grind up the edges on my nails to cleanup the roughness she left. I would recommend this place only to an true masochist. First time I came in I actually had a good experience however, this time I came in around 2pm and was sitting and waiting for 20 minutes with no one giving me a time estimate for how long it would take. Then they seat me in a chair and have me waiting for another 15 minutes and when I ask how much longer it would take she responds by turning the water on and that's it....
