I was expecting bad news, but he informed me that it was something called "frozen shoulder" which is not uncommon for diabetics, and recommended a path of PT rather than surgery. After 8 weeks, my shoulder is showing better range of motion and strength. I stopped in today and Dr. Ansari told me that if I continue to do some of the exercises at home and in the gym, I could likely be pain free in a few months. Dr. Ansari and the staff here are fantastic. Dr. Ansari is professional, knowledgeable, and also takes the time to be sure that everything is explained thoroughly so that there is no confusion. I highly recommend Dr. Ansari if you are having issues. What I expected to be a huge problem and most likely surgery was the answer...ended up being something I could address with minimal effort (outside of PT) and cost. Cannot thank Dr. Ansari and team enough! Highly recommend.

I was scheduled with Dr. Yarbrough. After doing some research, I discovered that Dr. Yarbrough does not specialize in shoulder conditions. Concerned about this, I called the scheduling department three separate times and spoke with three different representatives. Each one assured me that Dr. Yarbrough could evaluate both my knee and shoulder and advised me to bring my previous shoulder MRI if I had it. During each call, I specifically requested an appointment with Dr. Ansari, who specializes in both areas. Despite my repeated requests, I was continually told to keep my appointment with Dr. Yarbrough. The first thing Dr. Yarbrough told me when he entered the exam room was that he would need to refer me to his colleague, Dr. Ansari, for my shoulder because he was not the appropriate specialist. He also ordered a new MRI. He never reviewed the MRI images that I had brought with me, despite the scheduling staff specifically instructing me to bring them. I was also required to have X-rays taken of both my knee and shoulder, even though my concern was not a bone injury. This added additional costs without addressing the reason for my visit. After the appointment, I spoke with the front desk and explained what had happened. I was told there was nothing they could do and that I should speak with the scheduling manager. I called scheduling, requested the manager, and was told she also could not help me and that I needed to speak with the billing department. I was transferred to a billing representative named Cindy, who listened to my concerns and then said she needed to consult with her manager. When I asked to speak directly with the manager, I was told that wasn't possible, that a message would be left, and that someone would contact me later. This entire experience was extremely frustrating. I made every effort to avoid being scheduled with the wrong provider by calling three separate times and clearly explaining my concerns. Despite repeated assurances, I was scheduled with a physician who immediately acknowledged he was not the appropriate specialist and referred me elsewhere. As a result, I was charged for a visit that could have been avoided, and now I have to schedule another appointment. It felt like an unnecessary referral process that resulted in additional charges and delays in receiving the care I originally requested.

Dr. Bircoll has a wonderful personality. I received a Cortizone shot in my knee and it was over before I even knew it began with no pain. That's a great doctor! Kerry M. Local Guide·14 reviews·1 photo a minute ago New I recently had two appointments at the Resurgens office in Snellville for De Quervains - a very painful tendonitis - in my wrist. I saw Dr. Bircoll both times. There's a test they do to make the diagnosis that is very, very painful, but once he did it the first appointment, he told me what the problem was, recommended a specific type of brace and advised me to return in a month for an injection. A month later, it wasn't any better and I had reinjured it a week before, so I went back to try the injection. In that appointment, he poked and prodded, observed my pain and then told me to relax my arm and that he "wasn't going to hurt me" before forcefully and swiftly bending my wrist again. It was excruciatingly painful and completely unnecessary (plus the lie) given he had already diagnosed the issue the previous appointment and had just observed that it was still quite painful. No "bedside manner" at all. It just felt sadistic. I tried twice with two different people to contact management to address it, but was completely ghosted. I don't know if this is the standard of care with Resurgens, but I will be looking elsewhere if I need additional services.

The doctors were ok at…read morebest, I say this because they like to speak to patients in that condescending, oversimplified way that you would speak to someone really stupid. The clerical staff is an absolute incompetent JOKE. They are quick to take your payment in full but when claims process and the OWE you over $300 they don't know how to act. I was supposed to have a procedure (epidural) done. They gave me the estimate, I told them by the time the procedure was done my deductible would be met and I would pay closer to the date. I got a notification about a balance due of $289 for an office visit that I paid over $400 for at the time of the visit. I emailed late in the afternoon 2 business days before my procedure to get an update on copay and clarification on this bill that popped up out of nowhere. I waited all day the next day for a call or response. NO ONE responded. I called the morning of my procedure because there is NO WAY I am going in blind. They screwed my account up so bad no one knew what the hell was going on. I cancelled the procedure and told them just refund the money they owe me from my processed claims and I would not be returning to their practice for treatment. If I can't trust them to do simple addition and subtraction how would I trust them to stick a 3" needle in my neck?! STAY FAR AWAY!
