I've known Cesar since I first moved to Washington. I originally went to him when he was working at a salon in Bellevue, and I really liked him from the beginning. I never went back to that particular salon because, honestly, the owner gave me all kinds of bad vibes . So when I saw that Cesar had opened his own salon in downtown Seattle, I was so happy for him, but I was also like, "Man, he's too far away now!" Well, fast-forward to us now having a place in Seattle in addition to Bellevue, and his salon is literally about a 12-minute walk from me. At this point, it's a no brainer. I've seen some people mention that Cesar moves from client to client during appointments, but that honestly isn't unusual to me at all. This is something I've seen in many high-end salons, especially when the owner is also the main stylist operating the salon. He starts the service himself, mixes the color, begins applying it, and then one of his assistants may step in to continue or finish part of the process while he moves on to another client. I'm from the Middle East, and I've seen this exact setup in high end salons in Dubai, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and even London. So personally, I would never use that against him. From a business perspective, it also makes sense. If he isn't simply renting out the other chairs, he can't realistically operate a huge salon while personally doing only two or three clients from beginning to end every day without his prices being significantly higher. One thing I've always respected about Cesar is that since day one, he has refused to bleach my hair. He told me very clearly that my hair is fragile and would not handle the bleach, and I appreciate a stylist who cares more about the health of my hair than just saying yes to whatever I ask for. This time he did my roots, and I honestly don't even know what they did afterward some kind of deep-conditioning treatment or magic but my hair feels SO GOOD. I washed it two days later, and it still felt amazing. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that I don't have that obvious "band" around my hair from doing the roots. Sometimes when you color your roots, you can see exactly where the new root color ends because it doesn't blend properly with the rest of the hair. I don't have that at all. Everything blends beautifully. The salon itself is HUGE, stunning, and very welcoming. But something else really stood out to me: everyone working there seemed genuinely happy and was smiling. To me, that says a lot about the work environment and how the salon is being run. I'm really happy Cesar finally has his own beautiful space and even happier that now he's only a 12-minute walk away from me! read more

Interesting experience. Cesar has several assistants that do almost everything and he flits from person to person for seconds at a time. I never really felt like I had his full attention in a serious way for even a minute. I had a cut which had very little resemblance to what I had requested. They washed my hair and then his assistant blow dried and straightened it. He then spent about 5 minutes cutting it. I was not impressed by his cutting skill or technique and he clearly was not really serious about listening to me about what doesn't work or putting thought into me as an individual. He cut off some length and my bangs. Nothing to blend in anywhere. Very weird and superficial. I left there looking worse than I ever have coming out of a salon and $300+ poorer. I even cancelled my dinner plans because I didn't have time to try to do over The next morning after I washed and styled my hair, it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. I can work with it and won't have to go elsewhere immediately as far as I can tell. And the moisturizer treatment was actually quite good. Still not what I wanted or asked for. His main clientele based on my 2+ hours in the shops are young pretty Latina women with beautiful long thick hair. He comes along at the end and takes the rollers out that others have put it, arranges the bangs, and declares himself a genius. Very pricey, and a bit dicey. He provides the trappings and cost of a super high end salon, but not the actual product or end result. read more

I've been going to Cesar since 2024, and after finding him, I don't trust anyone else with my hair. Every appointment leaves me feeling confident, and taken care of. Cesar is incredibly talented and he and his staff are so welcoming and kind. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they truly care about their clients and want you to leave feeling your best. I always feel heard when discussing what I want, and I never feel rushed or dismissed. I use several of Cesar's products at home, including the C3 hair mask, C5 heat protectant, and C4 rejuvenating treatment. These products leave my hair feeling soft, shiny, healthy, and smooth with noticeably less frizz. Beyond the amazing hair services, Cesar himself is just such a positive light. His energy makes the entire experience enjoyable and comfortable, and his team reflects that same warmth and professionalism. I had the most amazing experience at a new hair salon. Cesar did my hair, I went in for a haircut and style and told him everything that I needed and wanted from a haircut due to me having bad experiences in the past. I was referred by a friend, and I can't thank my friend enough for referring me because, in my opinion, it was a life-changing experience. Angel did a detox treatment on my hair which alone was a great experience. He was so kind, attentive, and personable. I was provided with tea and water when I was seated, both were good by the way! Cesar was so polite, fun, funny, and personable. I felt like I had been friends with these people forever and I had just met them, so when it comes to customer service, it was top tier. Now with my treatment and haircut, that was amazing! My hair felt so soft and fresh, and my cut was everything I was looking for. I voiced my feelings about my hair loss and didn't feel embarrassed or anything, and I was also given tips on how to maintain and help my hair. I feel like for some people this is a given because it's a hair salon, but you'd be surprised how many hair salons get you in and out and that's all it ever is. This place was not like that. I will 100% be going back for my hair trims, future hair coloring, and to be honest, anything hair-related! Oh, and also the salon was beautiful, well-kept up, clean, and smelled good. (I am putting this on Yelp because he deleted it the first time on google, I've also attached his initial response to this review *that I respond to at the end of this review*, AND pictures for evidence) I'm sorry, but I have to write this review because this has been bothering me for so long. Cesar is nice and I had a good experience in the salon, but he made me pay $600 for him to turn my black Asian hair, dark brown. I told him that I saved that money myself because I'm only 16, so I feel like for more than half of $1,000 I could've gotten the hair color I wanted but I didn't. I asked for a milk tea blonde color, and showed pictures. Despite that, like I said my hair was dyed a dark brown which looked nothing like the picture at all. I actually brought up the fact that I was upset about the color multiple times to him through Instagram DMs, and each time I was basically gaslighted. All my friends and everyone online agrees and says that a hairstylist should, and would fix any hair mistake if their customer is not happy, but he would keep insisting to me that the pictures and color I showed him were only attainable with a filter. He even took an image of me and my hair and added a white filter to prove his point, but I paid $600 for the exact color. I was so desperate to have it fixed that I even admitted that I've been crying over it, because money like that for me isn't easy to come by. Again, more gaslighting and insisting that the color I wanted wasn't attainable, but you can see many pictures without filters of that hair color on google. I even see a girl at my school with the hair color I wanted. Another thing I noticed is that we talked in the salon about how I used to be bullied for my appearance, and Cesar was very reassuring to me that I was beautiful and pretty. But afterwards when he took a picture of me to post on his Instagram, he added a makeup filter on me. I looked nothing like myself, and seeing the picture with dark eyebrows, eyeshadow, and lipstick that I never put on made me feel so uncomfortable, and ugly. I haven't seen him do that to any of his other clients, so that made me feel even worse about myself. *AS A REPLY TO HIS RESPONSE, I know my hair can't be transformed in one session. We had two sessions, and you kept trying to convince me that the brown color I got was my final color, with the way you put a filter over my hair to try and prove your point. I never returned because you only asked that I return to have my hair toned every month, which would've been additional costs instead of being included in the $600 I already paid. Toner also doesn't lighten hair. You also told me I would need to bleach my hair again to get it lighter, which is what you already did, but then you dyed it a dark brown color. I literally would've gone back because I told you I was crying over my hair and wanted it fixed. That's why I reached out multiple times. It seems like you only actually care to leave me happy with my hair if I left a review, which is what I expected. I won't be back because I don't wanna risk having a repeat of the experience I just had. I wish I was kidding about this experience, but I'm not. I was tricked by all his 5 star reviews, and I still look back on this and feel so much guilt for how I was scammed. read more
