Im giving them 2 star for their food quality I had a stomach ache the next day .I ordered a molcajete and we also ordered Camaron empanadas. I'm not sure what they thought but,we did not get a molcajete it was absolutely dissapointing that it was being passed as a molcajete. Im not sure why their reviews are so high the quality of the service was great but then they decided to be rude so I lowered my review. I wouldnt come back again. This woman was very unprofessiona she won't stop messaging me. To answer her question Yes I asked the person if that was a molcajete. The male went to the back to ask and made sure. Ordered 1 tostada de aguachile and 1 tostada de camarón and honestly, it was extremely delicious. For the first time, in a long time, we felt refreshed eating mariscos and it didn't land too heavy or acidic. There is an interesting trademark flavor (hint of basil?) that really makes this place stand out. I was excited to try this place based on the reviews. When we arrived, we were immediately seated and our drink order was placed. The Micheladas are good here. That's the only reason I'm giving this place one star. We ordered the camaroneras a la cucaracha (not pictured) and i ordered two tostadas de aguachiles (since they ran out of ceviche de camarón - which is the only reason why I wanted to try this place). The Camaroneras a la Cucaracha were too lemony. The rice was rotten and the side salad on the place was plain! My aguachile tostadas came with raw shrimp on top of a tostada with green salsa thrown on top!! I emptied both tostadas on my plate, mixed it and waited about 15min for the shrimp to marinate in the lime juice! ... and even then, they weren't that good. We ended with a tummy ache/diarrhea by the time we got home. I do not recommend this place. read more

Family owned restaurant. The owner is also the chef. He treated my family and I as if we were his family yet again it was only our first time visiting. Tostada de Camaron - Very bland Camarones Empanizados - I really like these. I especially liked the rice which was buttery goodness. The shrimps were good and had this Cesaresque dressing that I dip them in which was awesome. However, $13 was kind of pricey and wouldn't pay that much for this plate. Cocktail Kora - was a huge disappointment, I was expecting a cold shrimp style cocktail instead it was a hot soup. I ask him what it had and basically was told something completely different. My husband and I didn't really know what to order... so we looked at the reviews and the zarandeado and the empanadas de shrimp and cheese seemed to look good. So we ordered the empanadas as an appetizer. They were amazing! They give you salsa and a dip that goes well with the empanadas. Then we waited a bit for the zarandeado(marinated grilled fish)... they finally came with the fish and it was huge. It came with the fish and some tacos filled with their beans mixed with chorizo!... the flavors were all amazing and delicious!! We look forward to coming here more often. Found this place on Yelp after leaving Holy Cross Medical Center and so glad we came here. It's a family run business owned by Moses, who is amazing. The food is made from scratch. Love the citrus flavor in the salsa. We ordered fish and shrimp tacos which were delicioso! They took a little strip mall location and created a marvelous ambience. My order was taken promptly but after waiting for more than 40 min I got up to ask and check on my order ( meanwhile I was never approached or checked on by anyone) and was told 5 more min. Patiently wait 15 min giving them extra time and being understanding and still my food was not ready. I get up again and ask nicely what's going on with my food , then the server tells me my ticket was overlooked by the cook and it will be another 10 more min. By then I'm upset , I kindly ask to get my money back, he insist it won't be more than than 10 min my order is being worked on, I say ok and wait, it's not until 20 min I get my food.
