Yummy. Came here with a large group and the food here was really good. I had the Mole Poblano and discovered the mole is homemade and made in house. The chicken was tender, the sauce was rich, the rice was fluffy and the beans were good. I don't think the tortillas are homemade but that was ok. The prices were still good compared to the cost of everything rising and the service was friendly and fast. Our orders came up pretty quickly. They are family owned and that is a bonus and it was nice to talk to the owner's daughter who was working the front taking orders. I ordered my food for take out but I wanted to start eating it at the restaurant because I had somewhere to be after and knew I wouldn't finish my food so I thought I would save them some dishes and the hassle of putting it into a togo box. The restaurant is open seating. You order then you sit where ever you like. When I went there was plenty of room. Went up to ask for hot sauce for my food and heard a worker say to another worker "she wanted it to go and now she's eating it here" which was such an unnecessary remark to make. If the restaurant was empty at 4pm on a weekday, I already paid for my food, what was problem with me wanting to eat my food there first? I was literally only able to eat 1.5 out of 4 of my tacos and had to quickly leave for my appointment. Having my food in a to go box was just convenient. I haven't been here in a long time. Time for an update! We ordered takeout and this time, it was great! We had to call a couple times but the lady who answered the phone was great taking my order. This time I ordered the carnitas carne plate. Ample amount of tender pork, three tortillas and enough to fill you up and then some. The rice and beans were standard. If you're looking for a taco plate, that's what you should order and make your own tacos. The chips and salsa ordered were plentiful! Definitely enough to feed 2-4 people. I've been going to Cha Cha Cha for over 10 years & I've never had a bad experience. The employees are friendly, the food is delicious, & the restaurant itself always has so much character. They repaint the exterior often and always keep the place looking fresh. There are live plants that look healthy and a handwritten menu board. You can tell the owners take pride in their business. I'm always served quickly and the guacamole is fresh every time. I personally enjoy the taquitos dorados but nothing on their menu disappoints! read more

I am being generous with this rating because the manager/owner was so accommodating and pleasant. My $14 bowl was definitely a child sized portion and I was just shocked at how small it was. I've been coming here for years and I loved it for but in the last couple years, I feel the consistency and quality is off, especially with the salsas. This place has gone downhill. The salsas, mostly the green one, used to be good and spicy, but lately, both of them taste off and are not as spicy as they used to be. While this isn't the best Mexican food, it's fast, inexpensive and the food is tasty and satisfying. I'm a classic street taco person - meat, chopped onions, cilantro on fresh corn tortilla with lime - but when I am craving a decadent chimichanga, I head to ChaChaCha! The fried "burrito" comes stuffed with meat (I choose carne asada), rice, black beans and cheese with shredded lettuce, guacamole and sour cream on time. Hot, crispy, cheesy - this is a once or twice a year indulgence! The chimichanga is large and I take half home and make two meals out of it. Food is fresh, served hot and delivered fast. Lots of wooden tables and chairs inside but I usually sit outside at one of the picnic tables. Great place for families, groups or singles; dog friendly. Parking on side street is sometimes challenging, but I used to live in the neighborhood and this restaurant was walking distance. Writing this review has me craving a chimichanga...I'll head there this week and I think I'll mix it up a bit and order the Classico Chimichanga this time! i ordered a grilled chicken burrito. the chicken was like jerky and i had to pull it out of my mouth. the rice in the burrito tasted hard like it was either undercooked or had been sitting around all day. there wasn't very much chicken in the burrito. my son ordered a bean and cheese burrito but his burrito was mostly unmelted cheese and he kept pulling it out and putting it on his plate till eventually he was just eating a plain flour tortilla. my horchata was mostly ice. his kids meal soda was the smallest i have ever seen. just charge more for a larger size, geez!!!! worst medical meal of my life. we just left it uneaten and as i was leaving i told my son "that was horrible" and the busboy overheard. $27 plus tip for that crap???? i will never go to cha cha cha again. ever. read more

She messed up charging my card. First she friend the screen iPad around and it said to swipe the card, so I did. I swiped then signed with my finger then turned it back around. Then she walks over to my table and asks me to sign a paper copy. I thought it was weird so then I check my bank phone app and it says I'm charged twice. I have no idea what they just made me here, but it was not food. The steak burrito I just ate was made of some kind of strange liquid that had no flavor. There was no rice, beans, or steak...it was just a weird goo. I am sure this will cause my immune system weaken significantly and contribute to catching COVID-19 or some other form of malicious virus. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Friends I've ordered for have loved their chimichanga burrito and the wet burrito too. For proteins I like best the tempeh, veggies del dia, and the mama's beef, which is super moist and flavorful. (Not in any particular order, they're all good.) And YES, you DO want the house-made tortilla chips and fresh guacamole. The guacamole, similiar to their salsas, tastes different every time, but it's always fresh and always delicious! If you like some heat, take a few extra of the GREEN salsa to go. Okay, Cha-3 might not be the "it" spot for your awesome authentic Mexican experience. That said, for a local chain it's pretty darn good. When I first reviewed the place back in 2013 I suggested it was solid and that's still true. And that was no anecdotal review. As I noted back then I live in the neighborhood and at that time I probably ate there 30 - 40 times a year. I had a decent sample size. I don't eat here quite as often anymore, because I have to watch my girlish figure. But I bet I still hit this place 20+ times a year. And five years later I'd say it's even a bit improved. Tacos are the same (not the best you ever had by any means, but decent). Now they have pisole every day. Every day. And their pisole is really quite good. The burritos are decent. It's a burrito-y kind of place. They have beer on tap and hand made margaritas and full bar at this point. The best thing though is they resurrected the El Classico burrito. Steak AND a cheese filled Chili Relleno...wrapped in a tortilla with beans and rice. It's so freakin' good! Really. I'll check in in another five years and update you on how they're doing. read more
