I've come here a few times and have always enjoyed everything I've bought. Hannah and Bridget are both great. Watching them make any drink is pretty phenomenal and I appreciate how well-knowledged both of them are of the menu. To be honest, I was confused at first because I assumed that Hannah was a manager based on the conversation we had about the drinks, but soon learned that was not the case. With that said, I can't give Cha Cha Matcha 5 stars because when I was last at this location, the menu seemed to have changed. I'm not sure why this is. When I came here, the time before last, I got myself a purple drink (which was absolutely fantastic), but the ingredients seem to have changed and it no longer has ube in it (although it is still purple). I'm not sure if only a few items were changed or if it was the whole menu, but ether way, I'm not sure why this change needed to happen. I was able to get a different drink I enjoyed, yet, I still was a bit disappointed that the purple drink I enjoyed so much last time was different. I hope that the owner goes back to the old menu in the future. Because of this change, It makes me worried that there will come a time where the menu is altered again. Cha Cha Matcha is a counter-service spot with a pretty laid-back vibe. The line wasn't too long, but I did have to wait a little while for my drink. However, the wait was absolutely worth it because my hot matcha latte was smooth, earthy, and delicious. The shop's aesthetic is bright, modern, and inviting, with plenty of natural light and tables for anyone looking to sit and stay awhile. Super disappointed with our most recent visit. I was charged for an extra drink I never received and the drinks were rung up at a much higher price than on the board. Drinks took a solid 20 minutes and then were not the ones I ordered. I had asked for now milk and my drinks had milk which I couldn't drink so I had to toss them. Was in the neighborhood and needed some caffeine so I decided to stop by since it has good reviews and cute pics I ordered the pistachio latte with almond milk (I asked the cashier for her suggestion and she said that would be good with pistachio). Should've asked what the price was since it came out to $9.86 (including tip) for a regular sized matcha. The pistachio latte is nice but I think whole milk would've been better since the almond adds an extra nutty flavor that takes away from the pistachio. The matcha isn't very strong so not sure how much energy I'll get from this drink. You could taste the sweeten strawberry syrup but after that, when you have 3/4 of the drink left, the matcha is bitter and thick. They just pour a little bit of the strawberry in the top and it's not enough to make the whole drink taste like strawberry. It's a shame because the matcha was a good quality. Perhaps they should add the syrup at the bottom and at the top. This is what I do at home and it's delicious. I think Cha Cha can do better with this drink. read more

This was my first time at Cha Cha Matcha in Venice. I've been to the West Hollywood location and I prefer that location a bit more. Parking isn't the easiest at either, but I absolutely adore the outdoor space at the Weho location. They have outdoor seating at this location, as well, but it's not as nice or as large as the one in West Hollywood. My sister and I each got an iced strawberry matcha latte - one with oat milk and one with whole milk. We both love strawberry matcha! Mine was YUM. I'm a tad picky when it comes to strawberry matcha lattes but this one was good. Friendly customer service. We were greeted right away. Drinks came out quickly. I've been here a few times and have to say my favorite drink here is the Draft Matcha Latte. I've never had a nitro matcha before so I thought it was a nice unique twist to a regular matcha latte. It's sooo creamy and has a nice coconut flavor. The other drinks are great too. I would say that if you are not used to the traditional grassy taste of pure matcha, you might find the drinks too bitter, so make sure you ask for extra sweetener if that's you. Came here to try their matcha as I've heard it's super popular and it was just alright. As I recently visited Japan and have had my fair share of matcha lattes, this place kinda missed the point for me. The matcha was really basic, and only had a simple earthy taste with not much to elevate. Being the matcha is from Japan I expected more to it, but there wasn't much flavor. I got the matcha latte and felt it needed a little tinge of sweetness, as the drink was very basic with little flavor and no sweetness to it. I know some people like the earthy flavor but I feel with a little sweetener it helps bring out the flavor and make it taste less like milk and grass. I've heard about cha cha matcha and how it is very good, so I went to go try it myself. The day I went was a few days after Christmas and it wasn't very busy so my drinks came out nice and quickly. I ordered a matcha latte iced with vanilla syrup and it was very delicious the matcha quality was good and everything tasted well balanced. They do have other milk alternatives if you don't drink milk. I'd like to come and try their other matcha beverages next time. Found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try! The interior is so pretty with a pink/peachy hue, and the decor is "cha cha" themed which adds to the look. I was torn between the hibiscus matcha latte and the lavender matcha latter, but the barista helped me choose. I ended up trying the lavender one, which also had CBD and ube in it. Paying a premium price of $7.50 ($6.50 drink cost + $1.00 tip) for a matcha latte here, I expected the drink quality to be pretty high up there. However, I was really let down. The matcha latte severely lacked of the matcha profile and the only flavor you could make out was milk. You can tell from the picture attached that the drink is super light in color meaning there is little to no matcha. I was super disappointed and could not finish the drink as it really only tasted of milk. **I am basing the flavor profile off of other cafes that sell pretty good matcha lattes including Boba Guys, Meccha Matcha, 7 Leaves, Chit Chat Matcha, Cafe Maiko. If you get matcha lattes from any of these places, you know what I'm talking about. 3 stars because the employees were willing to add more matcha to my drink, but the drink still only tasted of milk.
