$7+ for an Iced Matcha Latte with whole milk lightly sweetened with vanilla... Not worth! I wanted to try because I have heard good things about this place. Not sure if it was my whole milk choice but the drink tasted watered down and the matcha flavor was not that strong. It was a smooth but very subtle taste. I prefer a stronger matcha flavor. Stopped by Cha Cha Matcha while walking on Abbot Kinney Blvd! It was my first time here and I was drawn in by the pink and plants aesthetic of the shop. Parking can be kinda hard to find in the area, but we managed to find some street parking in the residential areas behind Abbot Kinney Blvd. There was only one person working and she was really polite! Their soft serve was unfortunately out of service when we visited. My friend opted for an iced matcha latte with oat milk (unsweetened). She personally loves this place! I ordered an iced strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and the drink was almost $9 (they seem to market it to also include ashwaganda, collagen and bee's pollen). They definitely charge you based on the aesthetic over the quality of matcha. The strawberry filing was very sweet and complimented the matcha flavor well! Unfortunately, it felt like the matcha flavor was a bit muted compared to other places I've tried. We arrived to a deserted Cha Cha and thought we lucked out, but turns out it's because they ran out of oat milk! We ordered an iced Matcha Latte with macadamia milk (forced against my will vs. a choice) & a Matcha Lemonade. Maybe because there was only one barista and she felt the need to rush and churn out drinks, but I didn't appreciate how she diluted both drinks with water when she saw that filling the cup with ice wouldn't make it look full. Because of the dilution, the matcha was hard to taste even amidst the nutty milk and the lemonade. Save your time and the stress of finding parking and visit La La Land Kind Cafe instead. Cha Cha Matcha is delish. I know, it's super hyped up and trendy and you wouldn't expect it to live up to the hype but honestly, I believe it does. I think their matcha is soooo good. My personal favorite is the "blue drink," but the "purple drink" is also fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend you get any drink with macadamia milk, sounds weird but it makes it so much better. As for ambiance it's very pink. It's a fun vibe in their and definitely trendy. It's one of those places you find on every girls instagram story. The service is great, I've got no complaints. They do take a little long to make the drinks but it's not unreasonable for what it is. Most of the employees are super nice and respectful. Overall, I highly recommend Cha Cha Matcha. I've been to a few Cha Cha Matcha locations but this one is the most serene, in my opinion. My go-to drink is the purple drink with matcha. On the menu, the description is CBD+lavender+milk which is a vague description, in my opinion. I can't speak on the quantity of CBD in the drink but the lavender is definitely noticeable. The quality of the lavender is wonderful compared to most. It's subtle without being overtly floral. The drink itself is quite sweet but the added matcha tones the sweetness down to a very pleasant drink. Fair warning: when you add matcha to any drink, it will take a little longer. The reason is that they whisk the matcha freshly for any drink which is great for the flavor. I dont know who or what told me this place isnt worth the hype, bad and bad vibes but i experienced the opposite. The place itself was kinda small but pretty cute! I liked how when i first walked in the smell of matcha was pretty strong. The two girls worked there complimented me and were sweet, plus fast service too. As for the drinks i got a regular iced matcha latte and my mom got a hot chai latte. The matcha tasted really good and not 'bad' like some people on tik tok have been saying. I would say this cafe is more known for its specialty mixed matcha drinks, so try that when you come here! I ordered the pistachio croissant on the side which I thought was quite nice and flaky, but it was more just sweet in flavor and lacked a strong pistachio presence. It was extra to opt for oat milk and an extra dollar to get a shot of matcha in it. It was a smooth, light drink with a nice vanilla finish. I absolutely love the Cha Cha Matcha at the Century City Mall and was so excited when I found out one was walking distance from my new job (yes take my money please) I walked in super excited about my draft matcha with lavender (a must try). The staff is awesome. The ladies are super friendly and were very attentive. I'm big on customer service and this was a plus. My only problem is that their steamer is broken and had been for a while so getting a hot drink in the morning is a no go. Unfortunately that leaves me having to find alternate options nearby instead of giving one of my favorite places the business. Hopefully they get this resolved ASAP so I can start coming in a lot more. read more

If you've never had matcha, this is a great place to start...not necessarily because of the quality of the matcha itself, which is nice, it's the staff that is extraordinary. The employees at this Cha Cha location are wonderful humans, without exception. If you've ever been on Abbot Kinney Blvd, you know the people visiting the establishments are a mix of confused tourists and up-their-own-asses locals. That means working on the street requires a level of patience the average individual simply does not possess. But this crew of matcha masters shines amid the chaos. Stop in for a Matcha Lemonade or a Purple Drink, be nice, and tip well. read more

If you love matcha, you'll (probably) like this place. Overall, each of their beverage selections are quite tasty (though, I'm sure, replete with sugar) and the matcha itself has a delicious flavor. My personal favorite is the purple drink but the draft nitro latte and beautiful latte are also solid choices. I have also tried the blue drink but did not care for it as it was less sweet than their other offerings. There was a period in time when you could order the purple flavoring as a sweetener in a regular matcha latte (because the purple drink itself can be a bit too sweet) but unfortunately, they no longer provide this option. However, you can order your purple drink less sweet (and of course, still pay the same price). While I do frequent this location, as well as the other LA locations (Century City and WeHo), the prices are less than ideal. In addition to being overpriced, they charge for you to add a shot of matcha to your beverage. This is confusing to me given that their whole concept is "matcha" yet they seemingly expect you to order a purple, blue, or beautiful drink and not add matcha? Seems to me to be a sketchy way to charge more than the listed menu price. Further, I don't believe any coffee and/or tea business should upcharge for non-dairy milk options. For many months, each of the locations was out of their regular (non-upcharged) dairy milks so you could only order the drink with a non-dairy alternative. However, they still upcharged for the non-dairy milk even though you had no choice! All of this to say, don't trust the prices on the menu as you often pay significantly more than you expect if you want your drink to taste or look anything like what is advertised. If you are here for aesthetics, this place will be heaven for you! Each of their locations feature a millennial pink and green color scheme with cute neon signs and plenty of spaces to snap a cute photo of your drink. This location in particular offers lots of fresh air as the windows on either side are usually open. There are also a couple of places to sit, including in the windows when they are open. Parking can be a bit tricky your first time as it is very unlikely you will find street parking on Abbot Kinney, depending on the time of day. However, there is plenty of parking in the metered lot behind Salt & Straw (which is adjacent to Cha Cha Matcha), as well as street parking on Electric Ave. Do not park in the lot directly behind Cha Cha Matcha as it is heavily monitored - my boyfriend tried to pull in there (while waiting in his car) while I ran in to grab a drink. A man from a neighboring business continually and aggressively gestured disapproval at him and ultimately, made him move his car. read more

This is such a cute place to get matcha. I got the regular matcha. It came in the cutest pink cup and the ambiance of this place was perfect with my cup of matcha. It was super relaxed and chill. It was creamy and a slight icy which is the texture I like in my soft serve ice cream. It had a strong matcha flavor too! Not to mention it was so pretty with the pink cup.
