We come here often for good Thai food near Ocean City, NJ. Though everything on their menu is authentic and good, their Crispy Duck is one of the best I've had at any Thai place. The sauce is tangy but not overpowering and the duck is perfectly cooked (this is hard, many places overcook duck) with tender meat and crispy skin. We were so tired of same-old same-old in Margate, decided to drive over to Central Square for Thai food. We had such an amazing meal I had to post immediately! The meal from start to finish 5 stars. We started with the shrimp spring rolls and chicken lettuce wraps and they both were outstanding, but the real winner was the crispy red snapper, served whole, w mango and peanut topping. This has been on our to-try spots for a while and I'm a fan now. My fiancé and I came to dine in with a bottle of wine, our appetites, and ready to be adventurous. We were greeted warmly and sat right away, with glasses and a bucket with ice for our wine brought out right away. Normally I opt for a curry dish at Thai restaurants, but we asked our server what his recommendations were and he suggested the drunken noodles, which we chose chicken as our protein, and the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Both dishes were excellent. We also got the calamari and the healthy rolls as apps and everything--from the apps to our entrees--was fresh and delicious. Officially my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, and I made sure to grab a takeout menu for the future. Next time I'm definitely trying a curry, as there were many options. Visited here on a quiet Friday afternoon for lunch with some of my friends. It is located in a nice, beautiful shopping center. The biggest thing I want to point out is how nice of a woman one of the owners is; she went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our food. She refunded one of my friends food because he didn't like the chicken drunken noodles and did not eat even much! I ordered the tofu drunken noodles and another friend got the tofu red curry. The food was DELICIOUS! The drunken noodles was properly spiced and tasty and the red curry (not sure why they used coconut milk) looked a little like Penang curry but still tasty. The lunch special also came with a side salad (mostly lettuce) with some type of vinegar dressing. For the price (meals under $10) cannot complain! Overall, I would definitely return! read more

Wow ... what a great discovery!! I have just finished my second take out lunch from Chaba Thai and couldn't be happier. From the warm greeting when walking in (The hostess asked me to call her back and tell her what I thought of my lunch on my first visit. :-) ) to the perfectly prepared soup and delicious sauce for my spring roll. I haven't had time to sit down and enjoy a meal in but the restaurant is beautiful and has some small alcoves that would be perfect for the right romantic dinner. What has really impressed me in my take out orders have been the soups and the spring rolls. My first soup was a chicken vegetable that had a broth that was to die for and the veggies were crisp not the usual suspect soggy veggies. Today's Miso soup was perfectly prepared. The spring rolls are the perfect consistency and the sweet and sour sauce is really good. The plentiful lunch entrees I have chosen so far have been Chaba's 'Drunken Noodle" with a really tasty chili garlic sauce and Green Curry Chicken that was the perfect lunch on a cold rainy day. Next is sushi ... I am sure it's as good as the thai selections! If you like Thai and are looking for lunch or dinner out this is the place and if you work down the street from Chaba like I do then plan on making this a regular stop during your lunch hours take out or eat in. read more

My wife and I dined at this lovely resto on 06-27-13. We parked in the lot and entered the restaurant, immediately we were greeted by a happy and enthusiastic host who seated us in an alcove apart from the rest of the people already dining. The whole night we were left in this alcove alone and it felt incredibly romantic and cozy. After a brief struggle between ordering Pad Thai or a Curried something, we decided on the Chicken Pad Thai. We also ordered Phra Ram because we felt we couldn't leave without trying more than the Pad Thai. After conversing with our host, we also decided to try the Cherry Blossom Roll. The Pad Thai arrived first, and was greeted by the both of us with a positive attitude, it smelled amazing, and was visually attractive, which we were not expecting. The flavor of the the Pad Thai was also amazing, the chicken was tender, and the sauce was not overly sweet. Our Phra Ram arrived next along with the Cherry Blossom Roll.The Phra Ram was interesting, Something to note, it doesn't have any mention of heat or chili in the description, but it was a bit spicy. The Cherry Blossom is filled with Tuna, White Tuna and Salmon, This is another visually impressive dish. This was the freshest Sushi i've ever had, ever. It's a bit pricey at $14. I almost ordered another Cherry Blossom, but we already had so much to finish, i decided against it. We ordered water, and were not charged for it, or any refills we requested (total of 5) The Bill came to $40 plus for two people, but we left full, happy and well taken care of. read more

I enjoyed the Thai restaurants when I used to work up in Princeton area and only one hole in the wall in AC was able to compete with flavor and quality as what I had in Princeton (Sorry, I am not a fan of Rama Thai's americanized Thai food). Unfortunately the hole in the wall Thai restaurant in AC closed last summer. This weekend, I found Chaba Thai. WOW! What a wonderful experience. Our server was really kind and attentive. This place has only been in business for 5 months. If you read this, I urge you to go there. The lettuce wraps puts PF Chang's lettuce wraps to shame and the calamari is totally different from what other restaurants serve up! It's a MUST TRY. While this place is a little difficult to find. It's in the back of the plaza but behind the other row of stores. The owner is so super nice. There wasn't anyone there during the week day for lunch but their lunch special was a really great deal. You get a salad or soup plus an egg roll with your entree choice for $10. The portion size was fairly large too. I ordered the drunken noodle and at first I thought the dish was a little on the salty side. However the owner informed me that it was because they just cooked it. Apparently you need to give the dish a minute to cool and let the flavor sink into the noodles. Which to my surprise was true! Over the dishes are on the more flavorful side but all tasty. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the Linwood area again. read more

This place was incredibly hard to find. Good thing my main squeeze finally listened to me after he walked twenty feet away from the car and realizing he couldn't see any sign of this restaurant. After driving across and behind(?) the complex, there it was. The decor was very relaxing with their many paintings of scenery and nature. Ginger tea was very gingery tasting, but sooo very good. Had a GREAT experience here. In other words, I went to dinner one night... and then loved it so much that I ordered take out the next night. The food at my first sitting was fantastic. I have never found a place that could do lettuce wraps as well as PF Changs but this place sure beat it. The ginger tea I had was some of the best I've had an put a spicy kick into my meal. The presentation of the main courses and sushi are unbelievable! Everything from using a beautiful boat for sushi to making carrot sculptures for garnish. One of the best parts was the service. The staff could not be more attentive. At the end of our meal that chef even came out to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. While this restaurant is hidden from plain view from the road in Central Square, it is certainly worth the search to find. read more

Having had awesome Thai in Hell's Kitchen (NYC) and have been up and down the East Coast in search of a similar taste, I am a bit of a Thai food snob. Although I will ask for less "sauce" on the Pad Thai next visit (little too sweet), everything my fiance and I had was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. COMPLETE opposite of the americanized Rama Thai dishes (sorry, I know many locals love it there but trust me it's just not real Thai food). My fiance had his staple Penang Curry- although it was called some other cool name (something Penang). He also had their Tom Kha soup. Both were delicious as I had to try them. The jasmine tea I had with my Pad Thai was fine but will try the Ginger Tea as it was mentioned in other reviews. Please stay in the area Chaba Thai! read more

Very disappointing. The Chicken Satay wasn't on a skewer, it was cut up and looked like 1/2 the normal portion of 4 skewers. The peanut sauce was bland and watered down. As was the green curry.
