Loved this place. We drove by to pick up some dinner on our way to the Motel. We ordered, and ten minutes later we were on our way. The food was delicious. We had Pho Satay and a coconut based Pho. It was enough for dinner and lunch the next day. If we lived in the area we would become regular customers! read more

If you like authentic Pho, this is a must try, you would feel like you are visiting your Vietnamese Aunt and being served a home cooked meal. I found this place by yelp, came with my husband to get a quick bite. We each had a bowl of pho, I ordered it with tendon, the most tender tendon I ever had. The soup base was so delicious without any MSG, I finished every single drop. The next day, I brought my group of eleven to have lunch before heading back to NY. With a big group, I get to try more dishes. We ordered their special spring roll, fried tofu and shrimp spring roll for appetizers,all so very tasty! For entrees, we each order our own bowl of Pho. Everyone was so happy and satisfied, we promise Ivy (our Aunt for the day) that we will come back next year when we visit AC again. read more

What a find! Thank you Yelp. A small take out/eat in restaurant with excellent Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered Pho with fresh spring rolls. The Pho had a choice of many different protein options all at one price of 8.95. The Pho broth was just enough sweet, buttery and delicious. A side of basil, sprouts, jalapeño s to spice up as you like. Choice of wide or thin noodles. It was Devine The staff were courteous and professional. A great experience all around for under $15. The bun bo hue was ok, pretty average. The pho satay was pretty bad. I understand it that they are trying new fusion type dishes, but this dish didn't sit right. It was very goopy and unpleasant. The dinning area isn't very spacious. Now for the middle age man who works there. He was rude, lack in respect and ill mannered. Highly offensive! As my mother and I finished our meal and proceeded to pay. Just as we was about to leave, my mom forgot her coat. He made a comment that was highly unprofessional and uncalled for. He said, "your forgot you coat, maybe next time you forget and pants and panties too." We left horrified and uncomfortable. Never again would I ever step foot in this establishment again. read more

Just received the worst service from this place as a first time customer. Read over the order for delivery 5 times to the lady she said she got it and tried to rush me off the phone Get it and they are missing a shrimp vermacelli and a lemonade. I call back to ask where it's at the lady argues with me and does nothing to fix the situation. I eventually hung up out of frustration. We waited over 40 mins for the food too. Horrible customer service first and last time They also don't answer the phone.. we had to call like 7 times just to order lol. Get it together read more

This place used to be my fav vietnamese place but not anymore ( i think they changed the owner). I work close by so i order here very often and same order everytime. I asked them for sunny side up and it's always came out well done. Last time i was there the owner have a party with his friend so he took my order wrong ( only 1 order), no fork no spoon, no water, no napkin. Only thing he care about is partying. And the food are no taste and very sloppy. Never again :( read more

We have only tried this restaurant for delivery so far, so I can only speak as to the food. Which was very good. Traditional Vietnamese and Thai food done well - fresh and flavorful. The level of spice was just perfect for my taste. The delivery driver was very pleasant despite being sent to the wrong town at first. The person taking the order was thorough and careful to get the order right. I appreciated his care, as so often large take out orders are filled wrong. The food was well packaged with everything we needed included. I can give this restaurant my recommendation. Once we can visit restaurants again, the ambiance may bring this score even higher. read more

First time trying out this place and it definitely wont be my last. I settled on the wonton egg noodle soup as I was craving a warm and cozy dumpling laden soup on this cold and rainy south Jersey day. It was PERFECTION. The dumplings were obviously homemade and the super fresh ingredients and vietnamese authentic flavor was everything I was looking for from my lunch today. I added on a simple lime cooler and it added the perfect cooling effect to my delicious soup spiced up with almost too much hot oil ( is there such a thing) lol. I highly recommend checking this spot out. The interior has lots of seating and cozy booths for a quite lunch or business lunch. #Enjoy read more

Just ordered a simple pork ba mi . wow this place has gone down! the bread was awful, not fresh and not French. they put so much mayo and barely any pickle veggies and some wilted cilantro, but the worst of all NO jalapenos. the pork was barely heated through. yes i was in a rush , but such a bad product. not going back ever. read more

We usually love this place but on weekend nights the service is slow, really slow. We waited for over a half hour just for 2 spring rolls, then another 20minutes for one entree'. They couldn't even bring them out together. After another 10+ minutes without the other meal, we left, starving. The owner apologized but never offered to make it right. We wound up go to Wawa for a taco salad. Ironically the guy behind the counter said, "Thanks for being patient." I don't usually leave bad reviews but this the second time this has happened at Pho' 9. The food is good, don't get me wrong, it's just not wroth the wait. The waitress could of told us the kitchen was backed up and we would have understood or gone somewhere else. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the area that are just as good, with far better service. read more

So grateful to be able to dine in, with plenty of space between customers in a really clean and cute spot. Food was fast and fresh, with friendly service. Sorry to say we were not impressed with the two soups that we sampled. My Pho with flank steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball did not have the complex taste that I am accustomed to from some of the other local Vietnamese restaurants. Service was fast and friendly and the restaurant is very clean but as far as the food this left me somewhat disappointed. My dining partners selection of S3 on the menu, was a specialty soup; spicy beef "bun bo hue "round noodles with sliced beef, pork cake and lemongrass had a darker broth that looked quite spicy but in fact was very bland. This unfortunate dining experience was a big surprise to my fellow diner who mentioned that in past visits he had some very good food. Maybe it was an off day. read more

Lots of soup options (veggie, beef, chicken, fish,shrimp, etc.), and other appetizers are pretty good too. Overall food is probably on par with a mid tier Vietnamese restaurant in Philly. It's nice to have this option down the Shore, though I don't get there that often. Prices are pretty reasonable and portion size is big. Broth is a bit thin, but not quite as clean tasting as Pho 75's in Philly (where I'd probably compare this to in terms of the texture/feel of the soup). read more

What can I even say about this wonderful little place? One day me and my wife were on the lookout for something to eat in an area with a less than desirable choice of GOOD places to eat. Being from Philly can make a palette pretty picky and I was recovering from a bad cold so my appetite was even pickier. However, after looking for a place with soup and seeing the great rating that Pho 9 had, we gave it a shot. I was not disappointed, no, I was delighted that wonderful food like this even existed near us. Their service was very kind and friendly as well. Their Coconut Curry soup with chicken put a smile right on my face and their Vietnamese Hoagie and fresh spring rolls were perfect. Definitely try their food at Pho 9! read more

Coming from Texas, I don't expect much for good authentic Vietnamese food in Jersey but this was hand down one of the worst Viet food I have eaten. I got the shrimp and crab noodle (bun rieu) and it was no where near good nor authentic. The paste was more like minced meatball instead of the authentic crab paste. The broth got none of that bun rieu flavor. It was just cooked chicken broth heated up and out in a bowl. I guess the only authentic part is the rice noodle. Oh and don't ever get their smoothie!!!! I got avocado smoothie and I barely tasted any avocado! It was pure flavor powder and they even skimped out on the flavor powder and so I couldn't even even tasted any powder flavor. It was just crushed ice with water. I even paid $1 to add bubbles and it was old hard bubbles so I wondered how many days that sat out. A waste of $5 for crushed ice. I highly doubt the quality of the food here in term of the high price you pay for. If you're going to charge your customers high prices, please at least put some effort into the food quality. read more

This is my go-to Viet spot when I'm in the area. Owners are very courteous and kind. Haven't ordered something I didn't like... Vermicelli with fried egg rolls and pork, pho with eye round, bahn mi with bbq pork, gai con, wonton egg noodle soup, pork chop over rice, Viet iced coffee, Thai iced tea bubble tea.. All really great. Food hits the spot when you're craving Viet. They're still open during the pandemic for take-out. Just call the number, they answer promptly, accurate with their orders. One time we took a little long to pick up our order and they called us asking if we were okay haha. read more

We have been eating Vietnamese food for over 25 years. Pho 9 is a fabulous restaurant that everyone should try. Excellent food that all will love. We had the cold shrimp and pork rolls, fried spring rolls, chicken curry soup, lemon grass chicken over rice and Vietnamese crepe. We loved everything and it was outstanding The flavors are to die for. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant, because you'll never be disappointed!!! It's a byob to boot!!! read more

Ok, we're sitting on the beach in Ocean City, NJ and we need to eat non-junky food and one is vegetarian and 2 of us love pho. Yelp saved us by recommending this place (thanks Yelp!). The food was wonderful. The people were very friendly. It's a small several-table place in a shopping center, but so so so worth it. One daughter had pho with beef, the other had pho with vegetables and tofu, and I had a vegetable and tofu noodle dish. All was great. The servings were so large that we made 2 meals out of each one. They had a good selection of condiments, sprouts, etc to put on top. Great place. I highly recommend it. read more

Beautiful. I fell in love with Vietnamese food, in Harrisburg, PA of all places. This is good, clean flavors, awesome food. The menu is clear and concise. I knew what I was getting before the food ever came to the table. They are very friendly and accommodating for diet and flavor preferences. We will be back and will suggest to others. While staying in AC, I was searching for some good pho. Yelp reviews pointed me here. We got vegetarian pho, beef pho (mixed meats), and an avocado shake. The beef pho was loved by my pho-addict husband. I really enjoyed the vegetarian pho, but I could have done without the celery and baby corns. The broth was delicious, but the celery overpowered the soup. We did not really care for the shake, but maybe we just don't think avocado belongs in a shake? The restaurant itself was small, but cozy and appeared clean. The service was friendly and fast. Cannot really go wrong here. An extra bonus was the prices, way less than food we found in AC and only ~15ish mins away. read more
