Our family took part in the Saturday morning brunch cruise with our four kids, five and under. To say I was a bit apprehensive about having our brood on board with so many other passengers, especially at mealtime, is an understatement. Upon boarding, Captain Annie and the Chablis crew immediately put my concerns to rest. We were set up in a dining space on the top deck, with great views, and more importantly, the ability to keep our brand of crazy to ourselves. The food was delicious, plentiful, and quick. Our bevy of picky food critics asked for seconds (and thirds). Fresh fruit, great pastries, and a selection of brunch staples was great. The best part? The service, absolutely. The servers and crew made it easy to enjoy the cruise without sweating the small stuff. We were able to share our kids experience in seeing the seals, otters, and swashbuckling pirates (blowing a conch from shore, no less), while enjoying a quick jaunt at sea. What a fun afternoon spent on the Morro Bay harbor. Once we were seated and left the embarcadero, we were able to get up by table and get our lunch. Sandwiches, chowder and salad. All were very good. I was impressed by how meaty the chowder was and not just loaded with potatoes. Definitely a great, fresh lunch. We also had our choice of coffee or tea as part of lunch. There's a couple of things that I think would improve the experience. We already live on the central coast and going around the bay was great but it would of been even better if someone was on a microphone narrating some of the key things and places of historic value. When we did the Argosy Cruise in Seattle, (although I realize it was on a much higher level), they had a student narrate part of the cruise. She was getting credit through college and it was a win-win all around. We would have enjoyed hearing at least a little narrative for part of the cruise time. Second, the seating could work better. As it is now, there are tables of 2, 4, 6, and 8. If it's just 2 people in your party, you'd most likely be on the end cap to someone else's table. I'm not saying make the configuration to accommodate number in each party, but I think it would work nicer with seating being in tables up to 16 or something. That way you're not an afterthought to a family of 4 filling up a 6 person table. It's awkward. Other than that, it was so much fun and we love the way the boat stopped in front of the rock for 15 minutes and just hung out there. Really nice afternoon. I think this company is great! Seems like a family business. Everyone, from the lady on the phone giving us directions to the young people serving us on the boat, very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Remember to bring a jacket just in case the winds pick up a bit depending on the weather, but there is also the lower area which is more protected from the weather. The lower area has nice big windows to enjoy the view. The salad, clam chowder, and sandwich ended up being a good sized meal for me but my boyfriend said it was good enough to hold him over until after the ride. Water, iced tea, and coffee were included with the price. Additional beverages were available at their bar. Enjoyed seeing the otters. Would recommend this for those looking for something more slow paced and relaxing. read more

The brunch was never ending filled with a little bit of everything. You get to pre-order food while you serve yourself a bevy of delicious appetizers, from fresh slices of ham to clam chowder! Even before we arrived, they were very communicative about possibly canceling due to small number of booking (they assured us this does not happen often) and incredibly friendly on the phone. I was here for my bachelorette party and they ensured that we were happy the whole time. We had a blast looking at the otters and sea lions. My family enjoyed the Saturday Chowder Cruise. The 2 hour cruise around Morro Bay was relaxing and we enjoyed seeing the cute otters. Super friendly service.. Lunch was served buffet style (chowder, sandwich and salad) with iced tea. We also enjoyed some wine and cocktails from the bar (extra purchase but reasonably priced). We enjoyed the Sunday Chowder Cruise. It was a cool breezy day and the captain gave us a nice cruise. The ship floated nice and smooth without a lot of rocking or bobbing. The views of a the water front and back bay coastline was enjoyable along with nature. The food was very good especially the chowder and Caesar salad. This morning, 11/18/17, we boarded the Chablis Cruise Boat for brunch. It was a wonderful time for 4 adults & a 1 year olds first boat ride! Service was top notch! The food was wonderful including a waffle & omelette bar. There was hot food & a cold food station. Pastries, Caesar salad, & shrimp were at the cold station. The hot station included ham, sausage, cheesy potatoes, bread pudding, biscuits & gravy, etc... Mimosa, Bloody Mary's, OJ, coffee, & a bar. All servers were super friendly! The views were fantastic too. I'm a local but found this vantage point a completely new & fantastic experience. We saw the Morro Rock, many many sea birds including the white pelicans. We saw seals and sea otters. Lots of baby sea otters too. The weather was perfect!!! I was 100% fine up outside on deck in jeans & a t-shirt. What a perfect morning!!! Will defiantly return again!!! A very pleasant cruise on a very nice Saturday (yesterday)...We went on the "sightseeing" cruise, which is exactly the same boat ride as the brunch or chowder cruises, but for $20/ person instead of the $45 brunch cruise, except the bruncheteers were inside on the "main" deck, and we were topside, with a table and chairs, in the very light breeze for the two-hour 3-knot mosey around Morro Bay... It was delightful....we could have had drinks, but had just coffees, and the very good company of Captain Jeff, who wan't too stressed out by the pressure and stood near us for most of the time....He also had really good advice on where to have lunch (The Galley)....so we were happy! read more

We booked our company Christmas party for the third time. Everyone had a great time. There was nothing but ear to ear smiles from us. The staff is incredibly nice, the food was tasty. Enjoyed the mid-week Chowder Cruise. They served their award-winning clam chowder, Caesar salad, and turkey croissant sandwich's. There were about 12 people taking the tour, with a staff of 3. The first level of the boat is easily accessible by wheel-chair, with beautiful views of the bay ... sail boats, wildlife such as otters, seals, and an abundance of birds. This was the 5th year in a row we went on a Chablis Cruise for a birthday celebration and it was EXCELLENT as always! We have done both the Saturday brunch cruise and the Sunday luncheon cruise and the food is always tasty and the service is wonderful. The bottomless mimosas are yummy and, if you prefer, there is a full bar (really good bloodies). The brunch has so many options, salads, fruit, shrimp, the best scalloped potatoes on the face on the earth, made to order omelets and waffles.....you won't leave hungry! The luncheon cruise has the best clam chowder, creamy with loads of fresh clams, the salad and sandwich get two thumbs up too.
