In Old Town Alexandria early in the day and didn't have time to eat so decided to check out a nearby restaurant for brunch. Chadwick was closer and I have never been to this place before. I came here without reservations they didn't have any open tables downstairs but told me I could go upstairs to the bar and place my order and possibly sit outside. Fortunately, there was a table available outdoors. The table was dirty and needed to be wiped down, which no one did by the way. I ordered the Francois with a brunch cocktail (can't remember the name). The food was good, but definitely underwhelming nothing to write home about. I was also taken aback when I saw the small portion. The drink was ok. Another con was they only have one bathroom area and in the women's bathroom, one of the stalls was out of order. On Sunday morning our family of 7 gathered at Chadwick's for Brunch, celebrating s 1st birthday. Our server Augie was delightful, a perfect combination of knowledgeable, efficiency, and charm. Been here a few times since i have lived in Alexandria. They have great drinks, delicious food and an awesome bar staff. There is one bartender who works here who has become almost like my go to guy. He make you feel so welcomed. Depending on the time of the year will determine the atmosphere. Siring football season you have the commraderie of xheering for your sport. A great restaurant and place to grab brunch! The seating area next to the brick wall is beautiful too! My husband, son, and I grabbed brunch there with a friend. One thing I absolutely love is that it is kid friendly! We shared the French toast, omelette, and grilled cheese for my son. Everything was delicious! My son was a fan of the grilled cheese and French toast! Location is right next to the water front, so it's in a perfect location to stretch your legs after a meal. When you walk into this establishment it gives an old unique spot. I love the ambiance and decor inside. The service was amazing. I asked for a mock tail and my server made sure it was the best mock tail I've had. Also, she ensured I was well taken care of until my friend came. The food came out at a great time and it was really fresh and delicious. The crab dip was very flavorful and the bread was fresh. The spicy cocker egg rolls were my favorite l. They were just packed with so much flavor and seasoning. My friend enjoyed his Cobb salad he s a chef so he approved of everything. The wings were a nice size and had a great taste. Chadwicks is one of my favorite spots to sit on the barstool with a friend and let the time pass. The atmosphere is one of an old pub, but it is off the main street by the water which makes it unique and set apart from the other restaurants of Old Town Alexandria. The food is always consistent and always very good. They have the best burger and the best fried chicken sandwich anywhere. I order these, along with a Chadwicks Amber most of the time I am there. A Dear friend of mine, Family use to own other locations in Washington DC area, her Beloved Mother was swindled by A Crocked Attorney from Washington DC, and During my time of working in Old Town. I do recall some very pleasant occasions at this location, although at times there were staff members that were not always polite or friendly to my self and other guest I may have brought in for A meal and perhaps even if we stopped in for cocktails. I do recall A bartender and I guess A Barack who were so ill mannered to put in as polite as I can be, I do recall the food as being acceptable. however if I am paying for the experience of the establishment I want to feel as if I will be treated with respect and kindness when putting out close to be $750 .00 dollars for A group of six for dinner and cocktails, I was left with the feeling not to attempt to come back, I wish the establishment well , but will take my guests and credit cards or cash to the Chart House , I truly am treated with respect and manners , and also made to feel welcomed. Good food in a rustic setting. Our server was nice but rarely checked up on us and never offered to refill our empty waters. My eggs chesapeake was really tasty, but they skimped on the crab cake and overcooked the eggs/the yolk was already popped. I liked the bearnaise - it was really buttery and slightly tangy. I tried my friend's francois and it was delicious - the fried chicken was so crispy. I did enjoy my meal and while nothing was terrible, nothing really blew me away. There was also a surprise appearance of what looked like a green bell pepper piece in my fruit, which was odd. Overall, I would not come back and I do not recommend this restaurant. Great location in Old Town. Standard fare. The place was crowded on a Friday night. It was mostly couples and SINGLE MEN watching the game. I couldn't believe how many men were there. I was with my boyfriend and I wanted to send up a bat signal to let all the single women in the area know that the men are here. Lol. The service at the bar was fast and friendly. The drinks were good. We ordered a Rueben and crab cakes. The Rueben was a hit. The crab cake was meh. They said it was lump, but tasted like backfin to me. Great brunch option in Old Town On Saturday and Sundays until 3:30. I've eaten here twice for brunch and the food has been pretty darn good!! I had the French toast a few months back and it was super yummy. This recent visit, however, I pigged out and ordered Eggs any style (scrambled for me please), bacon and a chocolate chip pancake! Soooo yummy!! Alex was our server and he was super energetic, attentive and just got the job done! Happy with the food and the service at this restaurant. Came here around 10:30am and was able to beat the brunch crowd that arrives closer to noon. Service was simple and efficient. We were seated and given our menus to look at and our server just told us to wave him down whenever we were ready. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and a grapefruit mimosa. The pancakes were fluffy and had the perfect amount of chocolate chips to not overwhelm you and feel like you're eating a dessert. Additionally, the pancakes had a large scoop of cinnamon butter which was enough to spread amongst the whole stack. The mimosa was light and refreshing. Even got a free half refill from our server. Overall, a good experience. Prices weren't too steep for the portion you're receiving, in my opinion. In the future, I would likely try different menu items for brunch. We stumbled into this restaurant on one of our recent family trips. Out of all of the spots we ate at over the week this was the worst. We quickly learned quick pace and attentiveness isn't something the east coast has in their waiter had guide so we will just briefly mention it. The clam chowder as my husband described it was like Thanksgiving chowder. Everything else was just fine. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat great, anything more you should head somewhere else. read more

The chicken quesadilla was a 5/10, would not recommend ordering if you like authentic Mexican food. The quesadilla was soggy on one side and crispy on the other, could be better. The service was okay, the waitress was busy most of time and left mid conversation when ordering. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty and aesthetic, as seen in the picture below. Cozy atmosphere and lots of life in this restaurant. It was a busy Friday night yet we were able to be quickly seated. Server was quick and friendly, which we really appreciated. We started off with the crab poutine and it was just what you would expect of it. Wasn't really that hot but outside of that we had no complaints. Buttermilk fried chicken was made amazingly. It was made just right and hot enough to last the meal, which I definitely appreciated. Macaroni may not have been lifechanging but it was still good, and when I finally finished my chicken I realized there was a biscuit just waiting to be devoured. All in all, it was a good time!
