I have eaten at Chadwicks a few times and have never been disappointed. Most recently I enjoyed their corned beef and cabbage St. Patrick's day lunch which was delicious. My nieces bridal shower was here in the large room earlier this year. We seated 48 people comfortably. The setting was wonderful and minimal decorations are needed, table flowers and some paper mâché belles. The food was delicious: bruschetta, pasta, salad and a choice of entree. Chadwick's never disappoints! It is well worth the trip from Staten Island. My experience with Chadwick's started with a mission to find a Brooklyn spot for my daughter's bridal shower last year. As a former Brooklynite, I reached out to high school alum and Chadwick's was on several recommended lists. After eating at 3 potential spots, Chadwick's was clearly the winner. The food was excellent, the service unparalleled and the staff quite friendly. It was absolutely delightful to plan the event with Brian. His recommendations were spot on for my crowd. Chadwick's delivered on all Brian's promises. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Brian's recommendations...and of course we had to return 3 more times before selecting the menu for the shower(not really but a good excuse!) We tried staple menu selections,, and specials..It was quite difficult to choose; they were all exceedingly delicious. I could not have expected any better food or service for the shower. Guests called me afterwards to rave. Last week we made the trip across the bridge yet again...and again the food and service were excellent. This visit, we tried the specials..it was a difficult choice. I was looking forward to the fried calamari again. and maybe the pork chops or salmon..but alas the specials tempted us. Well, the baby lamb chops and beet salad were delicious. In fact, I think the lamb chops should be on the permanent menu. The appetizers were a wise decision...lighter than calamari, we actually had room to split the chocolate truffle cake. The dessert was decadent, moist and delicious..We also had the chimichhurri steak and snapper specials..Both were very tasty and cooked to perfection. As always, the service was impeccable. They work very hard to please here. In additon, the pace of the meal was perfect...we had a wonderful night out. I look forward to another excuse to cross the bridge!! read more

Was there for dinner recently. The food was good, but not remarkable. Th service was O.K. , but again, unremarkable.

Being from Brooklyn you would think I would've dined at Chadwick's before, but no, last night was our first time. Steven greeted us and told us the wait was about 40 minutes. The bar had a nice feel about it so we gave our name and sat down for a drink. The bartender was very witty and made my wife a great Cosmo. About 10 minutes later, Steven came by and said he will have a table for us in about 10 minutes, a welcome surprise. So I ordered a T-bone medium and my wife ordered the Branzino. I was pleased to see they had a nice Cabernet in a half bottle as I wanted a red and my wife wanted a Sauvignon Blanc. Our meals arrived in a very reasonable time and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. My wife's Branzino was delicious and served over tasty mashed potatoes and with some nicely seasoned string beans on the side. My steak was a nice size, well charred and delicious. The steak came with potatoes and some excellent spinach with carmelized onions on top. Our waiter, as well as Steven, both stopped by to ensure everything was good and you can tell they know what hospitality means. We opted for the peach melba dessert and were again impressed. We were then offered an after dinner drink and graciously accepted, opting for a Baily's and a nice vintage port. Overall and excellent experience, including the live piano playing singer. Growing up in Bay Ridge I'm certainly glad places like this exist. It's not over hyped by people that think Peter Luger's is the best thing they've ever tried. Chadwick's customers consist of people that have obviously been here more than once, and that says a lot about a great restaurant. It doesn't apologize for the old school decor and serves up a meal that is fit for any king. My gf and I were celebrating our anniversary and I decided to stay in the neighborhood. This little gem boasts a great menu that is simple and well thought out. The price is very reasonable for what I had and I left there feeling stuffed. I ordered a T-Bone cooked medium, and I can appreciate the chef doing a great job with getting it right. Very juicy and the char was so good it almost tasted like candy as I was eating it. The gf had the pork chop bordelaise that was arguably better than my steak. Rarely do you get served a pork chop that is quite juicy and flavorful as this. And we also had a fried calamari app that was also outstanding, squid was fried to perfection. Overall 4 stars because the bathroom could use a makeover. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

My cousin recommended chadiwcks to us because we were coming to Brooklyn from the city to see the lights at Dyker heights. This place was amazing! The atmosphere was so beautiful and laid back with a singer on a Sunday night. We ordered the filet mignon with bacon jelly sauce and it was soooo yummy! We also ordered the barbeque meatballs for an appetizer and the carbonara for a pasta dish! I am Italian and it's very hard to please me especially when my entire family cooks. I was very surprised how good everything was and the service was exceptional. I'm sure everything here is too notch. Also , when you get the bread make sure you get the Olive oil sauce they give you to dip it in! The spices and flavor were delicious!!! read more

I have been to this restaurant more than 10 times since I moved to Bay Ridge about a year ago, I have to express myself that I am so glad I have found this establishment. Their New York steak is usually what I ordered the most, I like the way they do the steak, although for most people, it is a bit over-grilled, but it really brings up the freshly taste of the meat. Make sure you check their daily special, once in a while they have some nice cool dishes, like last time, I have tried their grilled jumbo scallop and it was pretty good too. read more

This is our go-to restaurant in Bay Ridge. We have had nothing but great meals each time. My wife loves the filet. I have tried everything from the Mahi Mahi as well as the t-bone and shell steak. While the entrees are great, our favorite has to be the short rib spring rolls appetizer. The waiters are great too, especially Brian. My only complaint was when I called for Valentines reservations, I was not told there was a special menu. My wife was a little disappointed she couldn't get the filet. I don't let things like that take away from the fact that every other time everything has been on point. read more

Ate here for the first time and will absolutely be back. Had a crab cake appetizer that was very good. For an entree I had the filet Mignon which was excellent and cooked to perfection. It was served over mashed potatoes and one onion ring as well asparagus, which were all prepared perfectly as well. I also ordered a side of the julienned fried onions not knowing my steak came with all of that and I'm not sorry I did because they were delicious. The service was impeccable and everyone in there paid attention to us - not just our main service. They were happy to have us and made us know it. Best of the Best!!! this is the restaurant that all others strive to be. The specials are insanely good and super creative. The staff has been with Chadwicks forever. They often know you by name. The portions are huge none of that nouveau cuisine (french for small) here. The owners are always there and its the only restaurant you can really have a sizeable party in without being cramped. How this establishment does not just have 5 stars is ridiculous, but I guess some people are just that particular with little things. My wife and I love this place. This is now the 5th time we have dined at Chadwick's over a 3 year span and all I can say is delicious and consistent. The staff is friendly and will make you feel like family. The head chef (who by the way also won on the show chopped) is a food genius.... From there specials to everything on there menu it is hands down the best place for food in bay ridge, if not all of Brooklyn! My boyfriend and I went in the other night for dinner after showing him around my old neighborhood. Inside has a very charming and cozy atmosphere, after we were seated so warmly we started with the charred octopus appetizer plate with a marinated bean salad and the octopus was the most perfectly cooked, very tender and juicy. There was a great range of selection for the specials. We ordered 2 of the specials, the lamb chops and wildboar. .The rub they had on the wildboar and the lamb chops was incredible, charred right into it, and had lots of fresh veggies to complete the dish. Got to Meet the Chef and compliment him on his food, the way he combined the flavors together it just had you wanting more. Hes doing a great job with the menu and the specials. I really wanted to like this place. After reading mostly positive reviews, unfortunately they failed to deliver. Started our dinner with appetizers: crab cakes and scallops both were fine and enjoyable. However main courses: stake for my husband and nights special halibut over risotto for me, were disappointing. Stake was unevenly cooked burned in some places and completely raw in others, my halibut was overcooked and dry ( shame since its a delicious and meaty fish) and whatever was underneath was anything but a risotto. I am not a fussy customer so I did not send it back like I should have but I am not going back there either. The restaurant itself is pretty nice and our waiter was very pleasant. read more

But when it came time to host my wife's baby shower, Chadwick's gave me and my party of 33 a sterling opportunity to enjoy the offerings of this excellent restaurant. From the planning stage to the party, the owners couldn't have been more amenable nor the waiters more professional. We came here on a whim for date night having heard many good reviews from friends. Busy Saturday night but only took us 15 mins to get seated. We had 2 appetizers - the Mozzarella eggplant skewers and crab cakes. Both were tasty and filling. My main was the red snapper special and his the lamb chops. The snapper had a lot more sweet potato mash than I expected but the flavors were really good! It took a little while for the mains to come out but it was nice not to feel like it was rushed service.
