We went there to celebrate Easter Sunday and it was all that I could want for my husband. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We had chicken and steak and had I known how delicious the steak was I would have ordered that. The bread was yummy and refilled as often as we asked. On the way out we were given a cute tin of mints apiece. The caesar salad was huge-it served the three of us easily but was different from a usual caesar salad- would have liked croutons. I went to Glatt A La Carte last week for a party for my daughters wedding which was hosted by the grooms grandparents. There was aprox 60 people at the party. It is definitely one of the better Kosher steakhouses. Our party had a private room and it was set up very nice. The service was fantastic and i cant rave enough about the service. I have to admit I am not a big fan of Kosher steakhouses in general. I generally find the food just ok nothing special. Glatt A La Carte the food was excellent and I would go there again if in the area. I can not vouch or say anything about pricing as I did not see a menu the menu was either meat fish or chicken and all courses where predetermined. I had the steak and it was really good for Kosher steak. It is by far the best Kosher steakhouse I have been to. I Know generally this place is expensive, But generally all the kosher steakhouses are. If you are in the mood for good kosher steak and you are in the area then Glatt A La Carte is for you. read more

We had a awesome time at "Glatt A La Carte" (Read in Benedict Cumberbatch's dragon voice) We where seated promptly at nice and quite corner and the waiters where very attentive and always available and ready to help. The ambiance is very relaxing and nice (Unless if you arrive after 9:30 which at that time it turns into a mad house) and the décor is also nice. For starters we had the Cesar Avocado Salad which was really nothing special.... just some romaine lettuce with sliced avocado, croutons and dressing. and then we took the Guacamole and chips and that was something worth trying, it is served with freshly made mild spicy tortilla chips with guacamole, mixed in with some Jalapeño and on the side a Heirloom tomato and onion salad. The results were amazing! Next we had the Rack of ribs appetizer in two ways, one was coffee rubbed and had a bourbon BBQ sauce on the side and the and the other was a simple BBQ sauce but they where just "Good" nothing special to write home about. For our mains we all decided that although "sharing is caring" we will stick to having our own plates, and thus said I went straight for the G.A.C. Rib chop 40 oz. Oversized bone in rib with crispy seasoned fried onions and a side of Sautéed Broccoli & Roasted Garlic. OMG!!! where should I start? the Stake was done to perfection, with a beautiful Char on the outside and a perfect medium rare on the inside, it was one of the best steaks I have eaten in a longtime.... (A friend that is not kosher tasted a piece of my stake and he said that it was better then the stake he had eaten recently at Peter Luger Steakhouse!) the Sautéed Broccoli & Roasted Garlic was also absolutely delicious with a simple seasoning but yet so delicious as the pieces of roasted garlic added a nice punch of flavor to it. The owner is very friendly and walks around greeting everyone and asking of everything is alright. I would recommend getting the beef jambalaya soup. It is absolutely delicious! Food was fantastic, but that's not the story. Went there for an early dinner, with my 77 yr old mother who had taken a bad fall in the city earlier in the day. Her among other injuries her lip was dissected and stitched back together. She insisted on going there. It was our first time ever there. They were extremely compassionate towards her. Continually bringing ice, and water and insisting she use there linen napkins on her sutures even though there was still some very minor bleeding. The topper had to be that they brought her at least 3 different entrees, until they found one she could eat with her injured mouth. They also gave her a container of broth to take with her. There patients and compassion were a credit to the service industry. Let's support this very special place read more

There are few kosher restaurants that I would qualify as very good. Most are simply kosher, which allows them to get by with poor or mediocre food and service Glatt a la carte is an exception. I've been there at least 5 times in the past 2 years and have never had a bad or even fair experience. The food is excellent, portions very generous, and service very good. Waiters are well trained and knowledgeable and attentive. Prices are very fair when compared to other kosher steakhouses. For Thursday nights make sure you have a reservation. read more

Ordered a bunch of sushi from here. It is a little pricey but thats what you expect from a kosher place. They never gave me the receipt on the delivery order and when I asked the delivery guy told me to call and figure it out. Sushi was pretty good but nothing spectacular. I dont remember what exactly i ordered but wasnt any complaints from the group. Customer service could improve though. read more

The food was excellent and service good. I started off with the beef jambalaya soup which was tasty and for the main course had the prime rib which was delicious. Other people in my dining group had steaks and appetizers they enjoyed. We shared a bottle of Segal's fusion which was good too. However, the bathroom should be cleaned at least every hour and not "once a day," as the manager mentioned when the bathroom conditions were brought to his attention. Additionally, a restaurant should never run out of artificial sweetener that was asked for and should have all varieties of tea. She called them when she got home as she had left something in the cab they had called for her. The guy that answered was so rude. Great restaurant. For me as a Borough Park resident. This place is local, decor is up to date. Overall nice clean restaurant with a good atmosphere and friendly service. Food is nothing out of the ordinary and the Manu is typical but the flavor is there temperature is right and everything is freshly made in house including desert (which unfortunately is not so common in the kosher restaurant business). We came here for my fathers birthday as a big party. Let me start off by saying the service was slow and unpleasant. The waiter came by once or twice but obviously if youre adding 19% by default they don't need to come and ask how everything is. In addition, the food took forever to come out. My husbands sushi never came out but they charged us for it anyway. We also canceled another dish for taking too long and everyone was finished eating. We were charged for food that wasn't given to us. When I spoke to the waiter he was nasty and told us to speak to the manager. Good array of wines. Waiters are attentive without being annoying. They are very knowledgeable of the menu and can help most indecisive guests. I went to glatt A la carte to celebrate a birthday upon arrival even though I had a reservation I was told most tables were reserved and was given a table near the back.i asked to turn down the loud music that was playing . It took ten minutes to bring a menu even though there was waiters available. Upon ordering we choose a ceaser salad it was $17.00 the portion was small and the lettuce was wilted I rejected it. We then ordered a steak that arrived cold along with French fries . My opinion is if your charging high prices you must offer professional staff and attentive wait staff I didn't enjoy the meal because they setting up a table with a curtain right next to my table very annoying. read more

Not sure what happened to their service and attentiveness but it went down the drain and just proved why people prefer to eat out instead of kosher. The last two times I came, it took an hour until the food arrived, had to send back one of the dishes because it was too cold. The owner used to be on top of things but now if you complain that it took an hour for the food to come, he just shrugs and smiles. The food is good but service goes a long way. The waiter was in a rush to take our order and didn't even let me finish telling him my order and just ran. My company had their holiday dinner here and it was wonderful! We had a separate room reserved so it was only the guests from our party with us. The service was great from start to finish, thanks to William our head server. For the non Jewish this was our first time here so we weren't sure what to go with and most of us had the same thing. A few of my coworkers had the Skirt Stake with the chimichurri sauce with mash and veggies. I stole a piece and it tasted delicious. It had that grill taste which combined with the Chimichurri sauce made wonders. I had the Filer Mignon in a peppercorn sauce. I'm a lover of spice so this was the ideal dish for me. I asked for it med-well but it was more on the Medium side, still a lil bloody but no complaints at all!! It was encrusted with peppers and bathed in the sauce which made my senses happy.
