Came here and we were the only table for a little bit then about 3 more groups came after us. I feel like the service was not as good as it could have been the food was alright too nothing out of ordinary. If I ever want some Indian infused food I could somewhere else that's better

This is such a cool spot to grab food. It's close to so many places on the northeast side of Indy, it made it easy to stop in for a lunch with my friend. We did the winter menu and split everything. 100% worth it! If you aren't into Indiana food or are just starting to try it - go here! There's a little fusion in some dishes and I couldn't stop eating everything we got

Highly recommend. Very flavorful and beautifully presented food. Friendly, attentive staff. Very clean inside, nice atmosphere. If this was downtown Indy it would be much more expensive; we are lucky it is local and fairly priced!

We found this spot on the Devour Indy list and I'm glad we chose to try it! With the 3-course menu, we were able to split 6 different dishes and all were delicious. We especially loved the Chinese Bhel, which we'd never had before. It was crispy and very flavorful - a great appetizer. The desserts (Kulfi and Halwa) were interesting and fun to try as well. The portions here were just right and the service was nice, attentive and quick.

This place is the best Indian food you can find in Indy! The staff is really friendly and welcoming. Their place is sort of small, dark, and quiet. It's the perfect spot for a date night! The servers do a round robin style service so they are so attentive and are checking on you often. We ordered the butter chicken and peanut masala. The buttered chicken was the best thing I've had. When you put it over a bed of rice it was to die for. Really well developed flavors. We had cocktails from their full bar and enjoyed the evening! Will definitely be returning!

Would have never noticed this place without Yelp but glad I gave it a try! They are tucked on the back side of the Disc Replay near the Best Buy and Castleton mall. My friend and I were greeted as soon as we walked in and taken to one of their leather booths. The host was also working as a server and quickly brought us some waters. We tried crispy corn, which was very interesting--I think frying the corn brought out a bit of the sweetness, and the texture made it easy to get stuck on your teeth. The garlic naan was wonderful, and my 1947 Tikka was tender and juicy. There are no bones, so you can eat it easily with a fork and knife. Would definitely come back for lunch!

Wow, just wow. The ambiance is amazing and the service is impeccable. The menu is very diverse and they offer a full and extremely well completed bar. They offer all the normal drinks and then a great offering of specialized Indian drinks to complement. Our party of four had two appetizers and they were extremely tasty. The cauliflower dish is almost similar to a Kung Pao chicken but ten times better. Our entrees were very well prepared and so flavorful. We had some with hair that was prepared perfectly a lamb dish and a vegetarian entree. The same care is in the back of the house to as the restrooms are clean and well equipped. Highly recommend and will be back often.

We will be back for sure! The butter chicken was flavorful, the paneer was smooth. We also enjoyed the saffron rice and the garlic naan. Service never let our water go low, the ambience was contemporary and clean. I also liked the music. The samosas come 2 to an order and was a decadent potato start.

Lamb curry is really good, a lot of meat... Butter chicken is good, very rich. Chili Naan is good.

Came here with my family for dinner and we were not disappointed. Service was good and food was great. The ambiance inside is quite nice and modern and I like the fact that the lighting is dim and not too harsh. We ordered the butter chicken, saag paneer, basmati rice, garlic/chili naan, and the manchurian. Everything was good but the highlight of the night was definitely the manchurian. Not too mushy with the right amount of kick in spice! Will definitely be back to try more of the indian fusion items off of the menu!

Pretty pricey, the ala carte pricing raises the bill to where you'd expect better food. In fact, I've had better flavors at other local Indian restaurants for 1/3 the price. My friend doesn't tolerate super spicy food so we asked for mild but we both felt everything was very spicy. That being said, it was a fun experience as they had an event in the lounge with beautiful gowns and music. Everyone was friendly and service was attentive. The crispy corn was interesting but would have been better without the raw red onions (too strong).

Super good samosas. Perfectly flaky and tasty. The tandoori chicken was pretty ok. I arrived around 9:30 pm and they let me know the kitchen was closing soon. Id like to try the chicken again earlier in the day. The place was lowkey fancy and really big. There seemed to be two sides of the restaurant one with tvs, where people were watching cricket. And the other with leather booths and no tvs. My server was also the host and checked on me often. When I took my food to go they gave me 2 cylinder containers. More so for soup or a sauce. It was pretty interesting watching him shove a chicken thigh and drumstick into a soup container. It sealed shut after much effort so I had no complaint.

    Tandoori Chicken

The place has gotten a major overhaul! It's much cozy and warm! This place has consistently produced the best tandoori chicken-non saucy and smoky! The butter chicken is less of what I would like though. It needs more cooking. The service is excellent and servers are always there to answer your questions and keep you filled up on drinks.

I ordered takeout and when I got home I saw that the "steamed" momos were burnt to a crisp and dried out. I also ordered masala noodles and it was literally just spaghetti with a sweet tomato sauce. Absolutely no masala flavor, and the fact that they used regular spaghetti noodles was baffling and unappetizing. I called the restaurant and the person on the phone said "yeah there is a problem with the steamer, we will replace them". I asked why they would look at this burnt appetizer and still send it, because that feels super dishonest- they knew it was inedible but because it was a takeout order, they decided to serve it anyways. He couldn't answer that. They told me to bring the momos back and they'd replace them. I said no, I've just worked 13 hours and will not be driving another 20 minutes to go back to their restaurant. I'd like a refund. He said that's not possible and offered to give me a free meal next time we came in. I said there will not be a next time as their dishonesty was seriously off-putting and I'd like a refund and again he said that's not possible. I'm attaching their advertised photos of the 2 dishes I ordered and also pictures of what they served me.

Idk if the ambiance has ever been great here as its inside is not pretty & the bathroom is very gross & never clean. The 2 orders of Chicken Makhani I received today tasted so strongly of WAY too much ghee to where I couldn't even taste anything else. It was lacking proper flavor & the chicken was very, very dry and tasted old. Super disappointing. I send people to this place allllll the time, but not anymore. The raita was the absolute worst part of my meal. I paid $5 extra for 2 things of raita & had to throw both away because they were SO bad! I don't know why, but it was so excessively full of black pepper that I honestly almost puked. Not only that, it tasted very, VERY strongly of green pepper. Raita is NEVER supposed to have green pepper & I honestly couldn't tell if that was the issue or if it was actually expired/rotten. I was super excited for this food & it was so incredibly disappointing especially because it wasn't cheap...huge decline in food quality & definitely not worth the price.

The service was wonderful and terrific. The woman behind the counter took very good care of our group and answered all of our questions on the menu items. The menu was very diverse and had a lot of items that I did not recognize, so I did ask a lot of questions. I ended up getting the hot and sour soup and the paneer tikki marsala with jeera rice and garlic naan. I had the masala tea to drink with my meal. Other people ordered curry dishes and Indian platter with chutney. A couple people ordered an Indian drink which was very different and unusual, and I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the drink, but it looked like Greek salad dressing, and it did have an unusual taste to it. It was not horrible and I could drink it if I had to, but I probably would not order it again if I was back at Honest. Overall, the food was excellent and terrific. I will say the hot and sour soup is the hottest soup I have ever had in my life! If you order the hot and sour soup, be prepared to drink a lot of water and have your sinuses cleared in an instant! It is extremely hot, but it is excellent at the same time. You definitely need to sip this soup carefully and not take full spoonfuls at once. The paneer tikki marsala was heaven in my mouth and it paired very well with the jeera rice and garlic naan bread. The garlic naan bread was very fluffy and tasted perfect in my mouth. It was the best garlic naan bread I have had from an Indian restaurant. The Marsala tea was fantastic and paired very well with the meal. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal, though some could not handle the spiciness of their entrees. Be aware when you order your entree or sides at Honest, that the spicy level is not like any other Indian restaurants in Indy. I recommend mild level of spicy when you order an entree at Honest. Otherwise, your mouth will be on fire LOL! You will still be satisfied regardless with your meal because the food is excellent and high quality. This was a great Indian restaurant in Indy, so everyone needs to come check it out because it is worth it and the ambiance is very relaxing. The complimentary water station in the seating area is a nice touch and well worth it because you will need water with your meal. Honest Indianapolis is worth the price and experience, so come check it out and try something new. You will not be disappointed!

Yes there is water from a water cooler, BUT with teeny tiny cups that are maybe 3 inches tall. You can get some other drinks such as specialty drinks or canned/bottled things from the fridge. On the other hand, despite being a carnivore, I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. For starters I had the hot and sour soup... yeah I know, not exactly Indian, but Indo-chino. It was different than expected, but very good. Actually a bit spicy and seemed to have ginger pieces in it along with a lot of unindentifible things and absolutely delicious. I tried the Bhaji Pav, which is ... well I really have no idea, but it comes with a large dish of goodness, seems to maybe have lentils or chickpeas in it. It's pureed and has a wonderful spice combination, maybe a hint of curry, but not spicy at all. Comes with finely chopped onions, a lime wedge and 2 soft buttered buns. I would definitely order this again. The most impressive looking dish was the Thali, basically a sampler dish, which has naan, a savory yoghurt based drink, several cups of various dishes and even a little dessert. I might get that next time to explore more of the options here. And as I already mentioned, the staff is very sweet and patiently explained the different dishes to my group. With 8 of us not having any clue, I have to say, this lady had the patience of a a saint.
