Over the time, I have made efforts to always try something new each time I eat here. And I have not been disappointed. Bombay sandwich, kachori and chiku shake have become a favorite for me and husband. Chhole bhature taste has improved significantly than what I tasted first time. So far what I tried is - mango shake, bhel, pav bhaji, samosa, fafda - jalebi, pani puri/golgappe, and paan. Enjoyed it all. To find fresh soft yet crispy fafda was different feeling. (You'd to the relate emotion if your weekend breakfast once used to be garma garam fafda jalebi with some kadak mithi chai.) A must try pretty much hole-in-the-wall ish Indian restaurant. Don't second guess seeing the place as pure vegetarian. This place won't disappoint. You'd definitely find something on the menu to be a must try and a favorite which will keep calling you back. Thank you to the staff for a great service and warm welcome alw

Hari Foods is a fast casual Indian street food that sells vegetarian friendly sweets, cakes, and entrees. I had the Bombay sandwich and it was quite a handful. The samosas were tasty, and I enjoyed my nostalgia trip with a Thums Up (that's how it spells, similar to Coke). Would encourage people to check it out, while they're in Castleton.

Hungry for Indian vegetarian street food? This is the best place in Indy for it! It has all of the classics one could find on the streets of Mumbai and more! The food is excellent! They do not caucasianize/Americanize their dishes, so if you have a weak stomach that cannot handle spice, you might want to get the less spicier options! But if you want the flavor and punch of some Kashmiri chili pepper, this is the spot for some healthy burn! Pro tip: I'd definitely order some yogurt as a side!

This place is great, doesn't have your American Indian cuisine. They let me try multiple things and were incredibly kind, totally recommend!!

Ended up getting the Phool Makhana Bhel (roasted lotus seeds) as a crunchy, mildly spicy appetizer, which was delicious, and a generous portion. (Deeply flavorful spices, wonderful crunch.) Went with the dal (yellow lentil soup) and ghee-free crispy methi roti (fenugreek leaf spiced flatbread) for my main -- both were deeply satisfying and powerfully flavorful, as well as very filling. My friend's goat biryani was apparently terrific (according to her); we ate a pile of food, but still ended up taking containers home. For the record: medium spice was juuuuuuuust right -- didn't make the eyes water, but had a mild bit of a bite. Super interesting menu, even for vegans! Will have to try dinner here in future.

I opted to enjoy mine the traditional way but it sounds like a fun option for vodka enjoyers! Butter chicken: 6/10 -- a little low for ME personally. Not trying to hate! I have had a fair share of delicious butter chicken and this was not as good as some of the others I have tried. It was just too sweet for my liking, although we did order a medium spice level. I think that anyone who did not grow up eating indian food would enjoy this very much so don't let my scale influence you on this specific dish. Cumin rice comes with the butter chicken! Garlic naan: 10/10 -- perfectly garlicky! flaky, buttery, and delicious!! Plenty of parking is available in the lot out front. When I went, the lounge/bar side of the space was still under construction but it should be open now! I need to revisit to check out some of the snack/drink options. Service was non existent so don't expect much there but it was not bad since we were just a table of 2.

The interior is bright and fun. They're in the strip mall at 86th with the Noral Target, so there was plenty of parking. We each ordered separately, but they nicely put our order on the same overall table ticket so that it was delivered at roughly the same time. I hadn't been here before, and was excited to try it. You order at the front counter then they bring it to our table. The menu can be a little daunting if you aren't sure what you want. I chose a chicken enchilada bowl, but was then told they were out of cheese. Nothing else was jumping out at me, so I just ordered the avocado toast. (see pics) Our food came fairly quickly. I will say, my coworkers' dishes looked good. I was pretty disappointed with my avocado toast. For $9, it was a sinlgle slice of bread, only very lightly toasted. The jammy egg was maybe 1 hard boiled egg, chopped up on top, and it was cold. It did have shredded cheese over it (not sure why that couldn't have been used in my enchilada bowl?) . It also tased like it had a lot of "everything bagel" spices on it, and was overall fairly salty. So it was a little disappoining. And I left hungry. But I wasn't in the mood to order anything else. My coworkers had sweet potato fries (I tried some - really good!), and different bowls that looked good, so I would give them another try sometime, but the avocado toast did not live up to expectations. #ReviewsByRL

Dessert...never disappoints. The best house made whipped cream ever. They gave us extra on the side after we asked. Decaf French press coffee from Hubbard and Cravens (my fave place) was absolutely perfect. Our server Paige was friendly and attentive. The bread basket was assorted and amazing. The portion arrived looking like something the Jedi Council would have sent as a diplomatic gift. The rib meat was falling off the bone in the way that only happens when someone in that kitchen actually paid attention, tender, rich, and worth every credit of the $30 price tag. They bring the usual sides: bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos, lime wedges, and fresh basil. They also brought out a small plate and a knife to handle the rib, which was a thoughtful touch that saved me from an otherwise undignified situation. Once the meat was cut and ready I did what any serious pho person does and built my dipping sauce on the small plate: chili oil, a small amount of sriracha, and hoisin. I am told that this is the traditional way to approach pho. You preserve the integrity of the broth and dip your noodles, meat, and vegetables as you go. Dumping everything into the bowl is a valid personal choice, but it is not the way of the Jedi. My son stuck with the reliable Pho Special plus extra noodles at $16 plus $2 for the extra noodles, which remains the best value play on the menu for a bowl that genuinely satisfies. Neither of us left disappointed, which at Pho Tasty is essentially a guarantee at this point. Five stars, no hesitation. The #29 is a special occasion bowl. The house special is an every visit bowl. Both are missions worth repeating. The Force is strong here.

Absolutely no masala flavor, and the fact that they used regular spaghetti noodles was baffling and unappetizing. I called the restaurant and the person on the phone said "yeah there is a problem with the steamer, we will replace them". I asked why they would look at this burnt appetizer and still send it, because that feels super dishonest- they knew it was inedible but because it was a takeout order, they decided to serve it anyways. He couldn't answer that. They told me to bring the momos back and they'd replace them. I said no, I've just worked 13 hours and will not be driving another 20 minutes to go back to their restaurant.
