I'm in love with this restaurant and go here all the time. The chicken tikka club is my absolute favorite! lassi is amazing here too!

This location opened a few months ago and I've noticed it's been very crowded frequently so I decided to try it out. I feel like it was a complete waste of money. The main dishes average at $19.99 and do not include any sides. If you want rice it's another $4, no cups of water only bottled; everything comes at an added cost. The staff were not friendly at all. When we arrived we were handed menus and no one came to check on us for about 20 minutes. We ordered and our food came out about 35 minutes later and was missing one order (which came another 20 min later). We also were not served our drinks until we asked after our food was brought out. The one good thing was the quality of the food but far from worth the price. There are many alternative options in the area that are similar. I will never return to this location by choice. My advice: instead of spending $30 on one mediocre meal here, get two incredible meals for $15 each at another establishment with comparable meal options. read more

I really enjoyed my experience!! Sharma personally took care of everything for us! The food was beyond delicious and the customer service experience was amazing. My family and I were one of the first few customers who came as soon as they opened. It was last year when we came for Suhoor and they were about to close however, the owner Khizer was very nice and respectful and allowed us to dine in. Ever since then, we have gone almost every month or so and the food quality has gotten better and better overtime. Even during COVID, Khizer and the staff have handled the amount of customer traffic they have gotten and catered to all of their customers. As a person who goes to Pakistan every single year, their food is the closest thing to Pakistan you'll get. The street food, the chicken karahi, the chai, everything! My experience at this restaurant went exceptionally well! The food was delicious and I will be coming back! The aesthetic and artwork of the restaurant was magnificent and cultural. I was so excited to try the food because my friend recommended it, and I was really pleased with the service. I had the biryani, samosa chaat, gol gappes, and Kashmiri chai which was the best food I ever tried. Beautiful restaurant! I felt almost transported when I stepped inside! Their seating area, the murals, the hand painted decor are all so uplifting. The way chai is served is truly a blend of good taste and presentation. There is also a super cute seating area upstairs which is hands down the best spot to gather around with friends, good conversation and a Chenak of delicious hot chai! Amazing kebabs and kathi rolls. The kadhai's are actually served in a Kadhai. The food is delicious. Know your spice level, the food can get spicy. My favorite is baloochi kadhai, although everything tastes great. read more

This place is super cute and fun and definitely hits the Pakistani culture their hoping to accomplish in the head. Fun and colorful! The food is good too! The only issue is that service is either too slow or rushed. In other words you can order a speciality drink and not get it for the entire meal regardless of asking over and over again until the very end. Or they bring you all your food and you aren't even done eating and the waitress keeps coming to your table asking to clear things away! I'm hoping it gets better since this is a new spot and probably still learning the ropes! Overall a fun spot that I have been to a few times since opening! read more

Let me preface this by saying I NEVER post a Yelp review, I made an account specifically for this last experience which was the last straw for me since the restaurant was not busy at all yet they still continued to have these problems. Food is very delicious and as the others have commented, it has a very nice ambiance. I minus two stars for their lack of customer service and communication between their staff. I've been to this establishment about six times and all six times, the staff seemed to forget an order, even after we reminded them at least twice. Every time we go, we also request the Chai to be brought out with the food; however, every time they always bring the chai at least thirty minutes after the food. And again, we remind them but it goes to deaf ears. If you're not able to bring the chai with the food, let us know beforehand instead of falsely promising us you'll bring it out. This last time we went, the table next to us had the same issue with their chai, the gentleman at the table ended up cancelling it with their waiter. And 10 minutes later, another waiter brought it out to them -- LACK OF COMMUNICATION. We complained to some aunty, possibly a manager or the owner's wife, and she did not seem to care at all. She said you have to understand the chai is made fresh, to which we replied we understand and we say every time we will wait longer for the food for the chai to come out with it. She "claimed" they care about customer satisfaction yet at the time of us complaining to her, she didn't even have the decency to stop what she was doing and take a minute to actually acknowledge that we were standing there. This is the same lady whom we had called while we were sitting at our table who looked us straight in the face and ignored us. Please retrain your staff and management team to communicate better with both each other and customers. You're better off ordering out than eating in. read more

Went late around 10:300pm and they were very accommodating and kept kitchen open. The chicken reshmi with tandoori naan was really good. Also aloo papri chaat was good (we mixed in krispy part of samosa which made it even better). Couldn't really tell difference in taste between doodpathi and masala chai but regardless both tasted really good especially with free biscuit. read more

Very good spot for desi people looking to get a taste of back home. Pakistan/India are all always packed at this place and it is no secret why. The service, food, and the overall environment cannot be matched compared to anyone. You will not even find restaurants like this back home, I was super amazed by the artwork and the detailed design and decorations. It really shows alot of effort was put into this place because it really shows. The server we had was Andrew although there was a young lady who was basically the manager in the front, they both did a very good job of accommodating my family and I. Everyone was very good music was good too, and it was a great place to interact with other fellow desi's. MashaAllah Halal as well for all Muslims great selection of Street food, real main course food , and also the main dish the Chai. So many selections and so flavorful, everyone should definitely give this place a shot! read more

Very cute place with lots of potential! The prices are decent and the decor is stunning. I personally went with a couple of non-Desi friends. Had I not been there, they would have been lost reading the menu. I would consider adding small descriptions and translations of the dishes for non indo -pak folks. When I asked the wait staff what was their Vegetable pokora was they couldn't really describe it. However the staff was very nice and accommodating, just need a bit more training in the food they serve. Considering the place is in the middle of Rutgers it would help. I would also recommend better ventilation, it was hotter inside than out. But other than that I would definitely recommend this place and visit again! read more

Overpriced. Mediocre food. Ambience is great. One time visit. I don't appreciate a place where they charge for the basic necessities like water. Have tried main course items Baloochi chicken kadai and Paneer Handi - were mediocre in taste. Their icecream Falooda was okay. Papri Chat was bland. Beautiful venue, delicious food and decent portions. Staff is friendly and food comes out somewhat quickly - 3 of us were in and out for lunch under 40 minutes. Colors are exuberant and you won't find a more beautiful menu. Music is a little loud so you have to speak a little loud to hear and understand each other. Aloo paratha and chicken biryani very tasty. I requested not too spicy which they just added more rice so it was still spicy but too good to stop eating so aside from the yummy burn, it was a pleasant experience nevertheless. During checkout, the cashier automatically puts a tip of 15% (even if you're just paying for yourself) so watch out for that to avoid double-tipping. read more

The restaurant is pretty but food and service are mediocre. The naan, kulcha and chicken tandoori legs were tasty. The Karachi style dal bun kebab and Aloo wala samosa seem to have the same filling, aloo papri chaat was ok so was the chicken boti. The service could improve: not enough space on the table for the plates and orders, not enough utensils. We asked several times for ice water they tried to sell us bottled water only after we insisted we got some ice water. read more

The service here is absolutely terrible. I don't usually write Yelp reviews but our experience here was atrocious. We heard about this new Pakistani restaurant and wanted to support them with our business. When we first arrived, the menu was 4 pages long but that they were only taking orders from the last page. They also mentioned that they were out of chicken. Fine - new restaurant, so perhaps they were still figuring things out. We ordered kabob rolls and chai. Our waitress comes back to our table 30 minutes later and mentioned they don't have kabob rolls so we have to make another order. Another 15 min go by and she mentions she forgot about our chai and would need 10 more minutes. After an hour of no food or chai, we decided to leave. Save yourself the time and go to a another Pakistani restaurant until this one figures out customer service. read more

Went here for a brunch this Sunday and was extremely disappointed. After hearing great things about this place, I sacrificed my sunday morning sleep and drove 1 hour to this place cause its so hard to find good Pakistani restaurants. Yes, it has the ambiance and the beautiful cutlery and I did get some cute insta posts out of it but it was not worth the 2+ hour wait for our food which came at various times, cold, and honestly was nothing special.
