Finally a chai spot that's not a hole in the wall with amazing food too! A wonderful alternative to traditional coffee shops, it's quaint and has eclectic decor all around. You walk in, order, and are guided to seating. The menus got a great selection of paratha items, including one of the best tasting Malai Chicken Boti Roll I've had. They also had an excellent Tawa Chicken that left me licking my fingers! They also have a few chai variations as well but if you're not so adventurous you can stick to the traditional Kayak! Overall a really great experience! I highly recommend it and will be coming back for more!

Malai boti roll. Tastes better than it looks. Served near hot

I've been here twice now and the food and tea has been fantastic. They have created a nice ambiance and judging by the amount of people here the place is definitely off to a good start. The only downer was they were out of some items by 8pm on a saturday so hopefully once they get their rhythm things like that won't happen. They could also use some better signage as to the MO. Basically walk in order first then they assign you a table/ seating area. They have a variety of seating options from couches to high tables and lounge style coffee tables and it's a fun, vibrant ambiance. Mucho recommend!

Had the pleasure of trying out this place today for an early dinner with my niece (a very picky eater) and I'm so glad I was able to stop by! The food and service are 10/10 and the ambiance is even higher! It's one of the cutest Pakistani restaurants I've ever been to outside of Pakistan, and it totally makes sense that the owner is a female the moment you walk in. She has put in amazing attention to detail into the quality of the food as well as the interior. I ordered the seekh kabab which is not your traditional seekh kabab, but much more juicy and comes cooked in a tomato sauce or "curry" that complimented the meat well. My niece ordered the kids chicken nuggets which she very much enjoyed and the highlight of both of our meals was the amazing mango lassi. I can see myself coming back for the mango lassi alone! I placed a to-go order for my sister and took a bite from her behari beef roll and wanted to kick myself for not ordering one of my own. We both thoroughly enjoyed it as well. So refreshing coming across such a great representation of Pakistani food, I hope to return and try out the variety of chai's that they have to offer.

    Kadak chai! Is burned

Tea is burned, we came for lunch. Chicken pulao was amazing! The staff will not replace kadak chai with another tea. Low on staff, raita came after 10 mins, by that time we were almost done with the rice entree.

We came here for the first time on Saturday evening around 9pm. The decor here was very pretty and unique. However, the ordering and seating procedure was a mess. They put 'reserved' signs on seating areas so you can't just order a drink and find a seat. You can see from my pictures open seating spaces but they have 'reserved' signs so you can't seat there. You order then wait for a table to become available, that's why a lot of people just standing and crowding around the front area near the register. No beeper they yell out your name. We ended up taking our drinks to go, and the chai were just okay.

The chai is ok the Cajun corn was yum and well seasoned! The experience and ambience is interesting, it's super busy. I give four stars because it is extremely over priced. I would come here once for the atmosphere and just to experience the place. The couches are comfy and the vibes are cool. You will definitely be entitled with all the interesting decorations. I would come here for the photo ops and to taste the teas.

Our Chai Wallah adventure in Plano left us enchanted from the moment we stepped inside. The intricately designed ambiance felt like a warm embrace from a dear family friend, and we were tempted to take off our shoes in sheer respect for the inviting setting! The Sips and Savors: Fresh Limca: A fizzy delight with a touch of savory chat masala. Refreshingly minty and limey, though a tad overpriced at $6. Rating: 3/5 Rooh Afza Chiller: A generous serving for sweet-toothed souls. Enjoyable, but something you can whip up at home. Rating: 3.5/5, priced at $4.99 Irani Chai: A flavor explosion! Rich and not overly sweet, with the distinct jaggery flavor shining through. A perfect 5/5, and wallet-friendly at $3.99. Mango Lassi: Creamy, but we craved a bolder mango essence. Reminiscent of melted mango kulfi. Rating: 3.5/5, priced at $6.99 Kashmiri Chai: Absolutely loved it, a perfect 5/5! Mango Falooda: Enjoyable, though the odd texture left our mouths a bit dry. Rating: 3/5 Samosa Chaat: A spicy delight with a refreshing yogurt balance - an undeniable 5/5. Papdi Chaat: A delightful blend of sour and spicy, truly excellent! Similar to samosa chaat, but less spicy and more tangy. Rating: 5/5 Loaded Nachos (beef): Really good, but we wished for more fillings. Uneven distribution left us with plain nachos at times, still tasty. Rating: 4/5 Samosa Plate (chicken): $8.99 for three samosas felt steep. Flavorsome, but seasoning inconsistency with two being under-salted and one well-seasoned. Rating: 2/5 Chicken Seek Kabab Roll: Tasty and wrapped in a paratha, but more sauce would be great. The delightful fries complemented the dish! Pricey at $12.99. Rating: 3.5/5 Additional Thoughts: Some online reviews were overly harsh - we must cherish the full experience and celebrate the diversity of Desi food. South Asia's cuisines offer an array of flavors, from creamy coconut-based tropical delicacies to aromatic fenugreek-infused delights, each showcasing unique charm. Despite the warmth, Chai Wallah delivered on its name with exceptional tea offerings. Noteworthy: The cafe serves halal food, making it a fantastic choice for halal seekers. Overall, a pleasant visit that beckons us back in winter for a cozy cup of chai by their inviting fireplace! Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 (Affordable compared to other cafes) Location & Aesthetic: 10/5 (Absolutely stunning!) p.s: If you're curious to see a video of our delightful visit, check it out on my Instagram account @chaifullyyours

Against my better judgment we visited Chai Wallah because some friends had heard about the ambiance. First off the ambiance is nothing but a whole lot of wall decor in front of which people can take selfies. The service was good as in we were able to get seated promptly in on of their sofas...no regular tables here which is a welcome change. The food unfortunately was incredibly disappointing. We ordered several chais including masala chai ...mediocre at best with a ton of milk but no depth in flavor. With a name like chai Wallah (and the price) you'd expect nicer cups like say earthenware traditional cups like in India...but it's just cheap IKEA cups. The food was even more disappointing...mediocre and tiny portions. For reference, the Kathi roll shown in my picture is 1/3rd the whole serving. Again lacked flavor or freshness. Overall rather underwhelming...skip unless you want to come only for Instagram pics because the food is certainly not worth it.

We came here for Iftar and left unsatisfied. Most of what we ordered was very salty. We ordered a variety of rolls, pani puri, pakoras, Kashmiri chai, and falooda. The best thing that everyone enjoyed was the falooda. The bun kabob we ordered was cold in the middle of the patty, all the other meat dishes were salty - but tender. Service could have been better. The staff answered our questions with their own questions. We asked for raita and were given plain yogurt. Potato pakoras were so thinly cut, we were eating mostly the batter - although the chutney was really good. Fun ambiance and photo opps. I would go back for the falooda but not the food.

Fun ambiance. I recommend sticking to chai rather than food. Some of the food seemed slightly undercooked. Service was okay.

2026 - Review # 15…read more Visited during lunch and ordered their appetizer trio. It comes with spinach and artichoke dip, french fries, and tenders. I enjoyed the spinach dip, but wasn't a huge fan of the fries. Their croissants were delicious. They bought them to our tale several times throughout our meal and the server was attentive and friendly. I felt as the menu had something to offer for everyone, with their most popular being their chicken tenders.

I am never fond of writing a poor experience review, but if it is warranted, it's important!…read more We went to the Cheddar's location near Nebraska Furniture Mart. It was quite busy, but we were still seated right away; that was nice! The server took our drink order right away, but kept repeating something different from what was said. My husband ordered, "I'll have a draft Modello," and the server said, "Budweiser?" - 3 times! We later learned that they don't have Modello on draft.... she should have told us. I ordered water with Lemon & no ice. She brought the Modello (in a bottle), water (full of ice), and no lemon. The sweet tea was not sweet, and it was very cloudy... When we mentioned it to the server, she argued that it WAS, in fact, sweet tea (it was not), but she brought out another glass that was also NOT sweet tea. We chose not to say anything; we thought, "Okay... this is not starting off very well." The croissants are always delicious, but having plates to put them on would have been nice. When we ordered, my husband asked for the Cheese bites appetizer before the meal (if you haven't had these, you're missing out!). Then we each placed our order. We had to ask for other items that we shouldn't have had to ask for. Our food was delivered by kitchen staff, and we realized that we never received the appetizer. So, when the server came by, we asked about it. She said, "Let me check." When she came back, she said, "... the kitchen was behind tonight; they are so behind on everything!" My husband asked for the Manager. When he (Kevin W) came over, my husband asked him to step over to another area so as not ruffle anyone. When my husband shared the experience (so far) with the Manager, he was not happy with what had been told to us... and said "...the kitchen is NOT behind at all, and that the server had put in the cheese bites order AFTER the food was made (like when we asked her about it). The Manager was very kind and apologetic, and said to ask for him if we needed anything. Our granddaughter had the Shrimp with fries and red beans-n-rice... she said the RB&R was terrible... no juice, no flavor, just a bunch of almost dry beans & rice. She barely ate her food! Our Chicken tenders were wonderful as always, but the Broccoli-cheese casserole was not good at all... it was pretty much Broccoli stems with cheese & a ton of bread crumbs on top! We were never offered refills for our beverages or beer, and everything took a long time, but the people who arrived long after us were served quickly. We left there so disappointed and frustrated that a place we LOVE allows such terrible service; as it's a big negative against the establishment, even if the food is normally great! When she brought us the check, the table was still full of dishes, so we asked her to please clear some of them. There's more to this, but isn't this enough? If ya made it this far (thanks). We will try them again. We LOVE Cheddar's and hope the next time is much better!! Carry on :-)

It lacked some lemon pepper flavor. They were still good and fried well. 4 STARS - The greens were perfectly seasoned and yummy. I would get these again. Mac & Cheese it needs a little work. It was just a little too oily/greasy for our liking. I did share this with the owner who seemed to take feedback well. I will rate this after I try it again to see if any improvement. 4 STARS The drinks were tasty. The frozen Hurricane was refreshing. My mom enjoyed this cocktail and thought it very tasty. I tried it and totally agree. Strawberry Henny was my favorite and tasted good. Overall I had a good experience. I know they are new and still working out the tiny kinks.
