Been going here for the past 2 years. Never had a bad experience, never had bad food, and I'm certain that I never will. Everyone that works at this establishment is super friendly and attentive to how you would like your order to be made. Pad Thai is one of my favorite foods. I've had it at many, many restaurants, but their's is my favorite. Their orange chicken is also very delicious. They also have boba. I normally get it with Thai tea and I'm happy with it every time. BEST THAI IN PRESCOTT, PRESCOTT VALLEY, PHOENIX, FLAGSTAFF It is Incredible that this outstanding eatery is not on everyone's radar !!! Yelp has great reviews for this establishment but somehow TripAdvisor does not - what !?!?!? This family owned restaurant serves food that is so fresh and delicious that I dare anyone to eat here and say otherwise. Vegans and Vegetarians will both be happy here ! The four of us dined here last night in the absolutely gorgeous Gateway Mall Food Court which itself seems to be the inside of a high end multi-million dollar restaurant with beautiful real wood and sophisticated stone and metal columns. The whole ambiance is that of a high end elegant designer environment ! Very classy. Very clean. Very safe. Very accessible. Not noisy. No crowds. No hubbub. Plenty of parking. This is what ALL shopping malls should aspire to !!! We are all foodies and I'm definitely a gourmand - so we didn't expect much ! Oh boy, were we pleasantly surprised. We ordered six different very reasonably priced dishes, including appetizers, each of which was magnificently delectable and a wonderful presentation of a plethora of tastes and flavors. Spring rolls, fresh rolls, each with the right kind of sauce, Pad see ew, red curry, massaman curry, pad ka prow. We also had three Thai iced teas, all delicious and properly made ! Plenty of spices and sauces and additional heat is available in eight different containers at the counter. We were so pleased and really surprised and it was such an unexpected pleasure that here I am, writing an ode to Chai's Thai because I feel so grateful that this place exists and served us with so much love and excellent fresh healthy nutritious food. Chai's recently moved from the food court at the Gateway Mall to a storefront in Frontier Village. The restaurant is very clean, simply decorated and has nice tablecloths. Our glass noodle dish and egggplant pad were good, though not quite as flavorful as those in the other Thai restaurants nearby. Service was friendly and timely, though the server gave us the check before we finished eating. read more

Who would have expected food this good in a mall food court? I would have taken a picture but I ate it already! Outstanding curried dish with brown rice. Be careful of the spice level. I keep reading all these great reviews. Frankly, I don't see it. I ordered the pad tai. They didn't ask the level of spice. So it came very bland wading in a soupy, thin sauce with raw green beans. Skimpy on the pork. I couldn't get the chili sauce out of the squeeze bottle because the hole was too small and kept getting plugged up. I had to remove the cap to get the sauce. No drinks were offered. There are at least three other Thai restaurants in the area I'd go to before I return to this one. Which means I won't be returning. Sorry. Best curry we have found in town so far. Staff is friendly. We have only gotten take out, but the people there are very nice.

We are in town for a couple of days. We were excited to try out this restaurant since it had good reviews. We were very disappointed. We pulled up right in front of the place an hour before they closed. The lady at the front just stared at us and turned off the lights. We were surprised since it wasn't closed yet. We had heard the food was good at this place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Because of the food court setting, I expected food displayed behind the counter being kept warm. Ugh. Instead, there were photos of the menu items. There was a good selection of dishes. My husband ordered the Pad Thai Noodles with a heat choice of 3; I ordered the Penang Curry with a heat level of zero. We also ordered the fresh spring rolls. Chai's Thai has the tastiest food. We eat there more than any other restaurant in the Prescott Area - at least once month. Our favorites are Fresh Rolls with Mixed Vegetables, #20 Noodle Tom Yum with Chicken (spice level = 2), and #28 Pad Kraprow with beef or duck (spice level = 2). This new location has ample parking. This was a real treat. Nice place in the corner of a strip mall. Extensive and varied menu including most of your Thai favorites...and some new things to try. Menu is detailed. Five levels of heat. We found a 2 to be what others would call Medium. Enough heat to warm you up but not overpower the flavor of the excellent ingredients. The staff is warm, welcoming and attentive. Chai's Thai is amaaaaazing! Everything is made fresh to order with authentic recipes. There's nothing ordinary or boring about what you get here. Our order was spot on, the service was outstanding. The gentleman taking our order was patient in explaining menu options, timing of our order being ready & making sure we were happy. The gal who makes your order does each by hand, and is not only an excellent cook but very sweet too. She has to be from Thailand. Her food is sooooo authentic. Very good service and food. We would not have expected the food to be so good in a food court, but it was very very tasty and large portions! Prices were fair and not any more expensive than sit down restaurants. The iced Thai green tea was delicious.. our only disappointment was no hot tea. We would also prefer this in a sit down stand alone restaurant. We almost never eat at the mall in fact we avoid it. But we decided to try this because the Thai restaurant we normally eat at was closed and the reviews were so good. That said we are glad to know this is here. read more

This is my favorite Thai food in Prescott. The food is fresh and made to order. I would like to work my way through the menu, but I'm stuck on the pad Thai, red curry and spring rolls. Superb! Yes, I agree with Brad S. - I had the Panang Curry. The soup part was good but the veggies in it were sooo soft & mushy. I don't think that was Jasmine rice they serve. It didn't taste like it to me! Other places I've been to with veggies are very crunchy. They must've served left overs that day. It was a holiday wknd so maybe? I'm a fire eater when it comes to spicy food, and after living in Prescott for almost a year I was almost desperate for some Thai food that would light me up. None of the other places I've tried seem to think "Thai hot" is something more than a slight tickle. Chai's Thai is the exception, and I'm told that if spice level 5 isn't hot enough they can go much higher. I'm still working my way through the menu but the dishes that I've had there have all been outstanding. If you've never been here, don't let the fact that it's in a food court in a mostly vacant mall scare you off. It's worth the trip. read more

The location, a mall's food court, isn't great but the food is sooo good! I'm originally from South East Asia, and I equate Chai's Thai food to a special home-cooked meal that a talented & caring family member would prepare. We'll stop by when we visit Prescott again. read more

We love this place for Thai food. Don't let being in a shopping mall fool you. These people know how to make Thai! My favorite is #15, Tom Kha Soup with spice level 2. They offer brown rice too. Pad Thai good too as is the Pad Ginger and Pad Ka Prow. read more

What a great find! Located inside the mall in the Food Court. Ordered Green Curry with brown rice - truly one of the best green curries I've ever had. We were visiting from Germany/California going to Grand Canyon. Stopped in Prescott on the way. If there is 10 stars I would give it 10. I can't say enough about this place. The service, the food, is like being in my mother's kitchen/home. We felt so w/ Thai family and I am a foodie person. I will not go out for Thai food unless it has authentic dishes that only my mother makes. This restaurant has all the dishes that my mother as well as my grandmothers would make. Dishes that you can't get in most of the restaurants. I love the spicy papaya salad, Larb, Beef salad, Chai's steamed fish, sticky rice. These are few and many more. When I go home to see my parents I always asked for these dishes. If you want authentic food, Chai's Thai is the place to go. read more

Chai's Thai has the best boba tea (especially their green boba tea) that I've ever had and their food is amazing. Though the mall is rather dead end, their food quality is amazing and the customer service is outstanding. I always put money in the tip jar when I go because I really want to keep this place open. Chai's just opened in Frontier Village five days ago. Standard for me on a first visit was to try Pad Thai Shrimp. It was great. One of the better Pad Thai dishes I've had in a long time, including the Valley (of the sun). I ordered 3 and it was a hot 3 and perfect to my liking. Shrimp tender. Many veggies included, so it was Pad Thai deluxe. Service super friendly. Hubby got Tom Yum Soup and liked it - he ate it all! Try it out Prescottonians and visitors. read more

If this yummy dining spot was located in a restaurant and not a food court, I would give it five stars! Had the massaman curry #5 heat with chicken . . . It was great. I wish they had smaller portions at a lower price for lunch. Maybe a cup of curry, a scoop of fried rice and a mini spring roll for about $7. Can't wait to try some of their other currys. For those visiting Prescott that want great thai food, don't be turned off by the location (Park in the back). Those who live in the area can order take out and eat at home with real plates and forks/chopsticks. read more

Food is so good! I had the #4 Pad See Ew and the #5 Thai Chili Soup. Both tasted fresh and just the right amount of spice (I am a wimp with spice so I order a 2 out of 5 being hottest). Very friendly staff. The only downside was the wait time it took a little while but it was worth it. I will definitely return to try the curry. read more
