Located inside Gateway Mall. Food was good for mall food. We ordered massaman curry and pad thai. Guess I should've ordered the thai tea also...next time. The curry was spice level 2 (wife can't handle much heat); it was tasty, full of meat and veggies, but was runnier than I'm used to. Pad thai was good, spice level 1 (again, because of the wife); this was tasty and perfectly done...would order this again. So, next time, I'll be getting the thai tea...and will try some of the other menu items. read more

Heard the great reviews about Chai's Thai and wanted to see/taste for myself. I was amazed at the quality of the food here especially being in the food court of the mall. Granted it isn't priced like an item on the food court but it is well worth it! I had the Pad Thai with Chicken and Beef (was $1 extra) with and 7up and it came out to almost $12. The 0-5 spicy scale: I got it with level 3 Spicy and it was just right for me because I grew up on spicy food. The food court area is nice and carpeted and a overall good atmosphere. The serving size of the Pad Thai was pretty big. I was pretty full and still had some Pad Thai left. 5 stars for amazing food and quality service !!! read more

I got the green curry with steamed tofu and ask for 5/5 spice today, and I've been to several other Asian restaurants lately and this is by far the best taste and experience. It is very spicy and they are very friendly. The portions are big and the value is good. The curry is not made with a ton of sugar (if any at all which is my preference) and they let you pick between brown or white rice. Fast and friendly service! read more

We love this place. We discovered them when they were in the mall food court and now that they moved into their own location we love them even more! The atmosphere of the dining room is really nice - we used to only get take out from them at the mall but now we enjoy both dine-in and takeout. After relocating to Prescott my husband and I have struggled with finding good places to eat. We had our favorites in Scottsdale, Gilbert and Phoenix and had just about given up on finding good Thai food up here in Prescott. After a busy day of shopping about 4 weeks ago we decided to stop and try Chais place. Very pleasantly surprised, and have been back several times since. I have tried the soups, every time very fresh, portion size is big and served the way I like it piping hot. The yellow curry is also great, with enough to take to work the next day for lunch. My husband has tried several of the entrees at heat level 4-5, always pleased with his selection. The service is very courteous and prompt, with regular checkins for refills. I would recommend Chais Thai if your looking for fresh, tasty food at a very fair price. read more

We moved to wonderful Prescott from a predominantly Asian area of southern California. I had eaten plenty of Thai food there in restaurants that spoke little to no English. Imagine my surprise when I found Chai's Thai. This is hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Very fresh ingredients. Wonderful service. This is a great find. Don't think that because this place is in a mall that it takes away from the delicious food. 2 dishes were ordered today, rice noodles with chicken and larb gai served with rice and the cooling lettuce leaves which were needed. My husband loves spicy so he ordered level 5 for the larb and the noodles were level 4. We were both as happy as could be with the flavors and spice level. As others have mentioned, don't let the mall location dissuade you from visiting the Chais Thai. The menu is extensive and has descriptions of the ingredients for each dish In addition, for spicy dishes you can choose your spice level (1-5). Servings are ample. read more

VERY pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. As others have said, don't let the fact that it's in a food court keep you away. This may be our new go to for take home lunch or dinner. We had the pad see ew and crispy orange chicken. The food is prepared to order after you order. So no food sitting around in steam tables. Got takeout twice recently. The food was tasty. The Pad Thai was flavorful, got beef and pork. My only suggestion would be more of the condiments that should accompany Pad Thai, i.e. lime, cilantro, bean sprouts, coarsely chopped peanuts (they had peanuts but very finely chopped which doesn't give you much crunch) The Tom Kha soup is always good as are most of the other entres. The larb was very tasty but there were no large lettuce or cabbage leaves, the classic accompaniment with with to eat larb. Came to this place twice this week! You wouldn't expect mall food to be that great, but me and my husband loved this place. We were hesitant to try other thai places in town because of poor reviews, but this place is great. Definitely not a fancy place, but if you're craving curry or tom yum, this place is good. Make sure you double check they get your order correct though, they did make a few mistakes with our orders but they were quick to fix it when we told them.
