Food: great authentic Mexican food. They have a variety of options. They give first basket free chips & salsa. Service: quick and easy Ambiance: cute little restaurant

Stumbled upon this place when looking for Mexican cuisine in the area. Very friendly staff and fast service. The food was exceptional and the margarita tasty! We had the trio burrito plate and a combination plate with a chicken enchilada and guacamole tostada. If we lived closer I would definitely frequent this place often. Highly recommend!

The best Mexican food I've ever had. Better than Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Taos and ANYWHERE in Chicagoland.

Inside- nothing special but they did have lots of big TV's

8.50 for a side of guacamole?!?! I was appalled. Let me also start by saying service was perfect- waitress was kind, attentive, and food came out super fast. The food was decent quality, I had chicken enchiladas and they were good. However, you have to pay 4.00 extra for rice and beans. The salsa served with chips is this brown spicy salsa that is thin and not chunky. I didn't like it, but they don't have any alternatives. That brings me to the guacamole- I ordered it to go with the chips. The menu said the price is "market price" sure never heard of that!! Well no wonder- it was 8.50 for a tiny cup!! If they put that price on the menu no one would order it. Inside is ehhh- not updated and getting to the bathroom you have to walk down a dingy little hallway. I paid 40.00 for my meal and Diet Coke. Not worth it in my opinion!

I heard that Denver has amazing Mexican food so I was disappointed by this restaurant. I went around dinner time and we were sat right away. I ordered the beef burrito and beef tacos which came with rice and beans which were the 2 daily specials. Even though the taco had a lot of beef in it, they looked and tasted reheated; I expected a lot more from the good reviews that this restaurant has. Regardless, the staff was super nice and friendly.

First time here, and I would come back for some different dishes to try! I had the red enchiladas and an horchata. Tasty Service was great, super friendly greeter, hostess and server! The place is cute.

    Concha French toast!

All the staff was very attentive and friendly. We came to try the new concha French toast and it was 10/10! My gf said 15/10 lol They have a ton of different frozen cocktails that we can't wait to come back and try.

The food here is amazing. Some of the best New Mexican food I have ever tasted. I got the enchiladas Christmas style. The green chile is on point. Wow. Earthy, green, slightly smoky. Red chile is also spot on. Peppery and red! Just the right amount of heat but they'll ask you how you want it. Perfect balance of cheese, tortillas and sauce. Get it with rice and beans. They nailed both. Right amount of seasonings. Not sure how they do the beans but the recipe must be a family one. Everything is from scratch for sure. One can taste it. Meal comes with an order of chips and salsa. We splurged and got extra. Salsa is smooth and good...perfect heat. Got an order of queso to go. Get the sopapillas too. Creamy, cheesy and comforting. The staff/family is amazing, friendly and accommodating. Love em! Overall a delish meal. They nailed it all. Go!

The fajita burrito was disgusting. No substance and definitely not home made at all. It even smells gross. Can I get a refund?

Do they serve brunch on the weekends?

I have been there for breakfast/brunch on weekends. The menu says "breakfast served until 12 pm daily." As long as a breakfast menu counts as brunch, you are good--unless you expected the breakfast menu to be in effect until later than 12 on…

That being said, the food seems very basic on the menu but it is SO INCREDIBLE! Cannot recommend the sweet potato enough and ceviche (ask for chips). If this place wasn't always booked I would be going every week. We were there for a birthday celebration and they brought our mezcal shoes for us. We felt taken care of and loved every minute of it. They also have a happy hour to look out for!

This place fills up 60 days in advance, without fail! When we arrived, we were able to get parking about a block away on the street. We were soon greeted and guided to our seats upon walking in. This is a very small restaurant - only a few tables, not many options for big groups, and some bar seating both inside and outside. I can see why the reservations are in such high demand! We were recommended to get 4-5 small plates, so we decided on the Guacamole Alma, Burrito de Frijoles Puerco, Apache en su Jugo, and Enmolada de Pato. We also shared the hibiscus margarita and Mex 75. The drinks came out first - the hibiscus margarita was so refreshing, light and delicious! We weren't as big fans of the Mex 75 - but if you like smoky drinks this is the one for you. The guacamole came out first - it was tangy and tasty. I will say that the other dishes were a lot more unique. The burrito was a standout - we absolutely loved the homemade sourdough tortilla, one of the best we've ever tasted. The chorizo filling was savory and tasty. The Apache en su Jugo was unique and had a lovely flavor - if you are a beef tartare fan this is a wonderful dish to try! The enmolado de pato came out last and we thoroughly enjoyed the mole and flavor. This is definitely worth checking out. I will say as a Houston native we have several restaurants with similar flavors and slightly lower price tags and wait times, so I am a bit spoiled in that regard. But all in all the service is wonderful, it's a pleasure to try so many different and unique dishes, and the joy of snagging a reservation is worth it!

The food was delicious! We got $2 chips and salsa off the happy hour menu and the queso con soyrizo (not on HH menu) which was served with warm tortillas. Honestly we probably didn't need all that because the tacos were so good I could've just filled up on more of the tacos, but still was a great meal! I ordered the lengua, pastor, and taco special (breaded shrimp). They were all so good. Think taco quality of a good street taco spot but with the ambiance of a cute tex mex bar. The bartender was great and made a solid marg ($8 on happy hour). You get a great deal on taco Tuesday but I'm sure you'd get great service and quality any day of the week!

I grabbed a seat at the bar where the bartender was friendly and engaging. On a recent Wednesday at 7:15, the restaurant was packed. When I left around 8:30, it was still busy. That's usually the best review a restaurant can get. Loyal customers don't keep coming back out of habit. They come back because it feels like home. The all-day happy hour margarita for $9 certainly doesn't hurt. The second one arrives before you've had time to argue yourself out of it. I ordered the enchiladas with carne asada and their house mole. If you're expecting one of those intensely complex moles with enough ingredients to fill a pantry, this isn't that. Adelitas' version is comforting, approachable, and deeply homey. It tastes less like a culinary experiment and more like something your abuela has been making for decades. The carne asada was tender, the rice and beans were exactly what they should be, and every bite reminded me why comfort food never goes out of style. Before leaving, I made the smartest decision of the evening. Tres leches to go. I devoured it later at home while Netflix asked if I was still watching. The cake somehow manages to be light while completely satisfying. Don't skip it. Better yet, don't pretend you're saving it for tomorrow. Adelitas isn't trying to impress you. It's trying to feed you well, welcome you warmly, and send you home happier than when you arrived. Whether your abuela was Mexican...or Greek...you'll understand exactly what they're serving here.
